The Ex-Husband's Revenge
Most importantly, Leon already refused to get back together with Iris and Gilbert decided that he preferr ed Anson as his future sonâinâlaw, so he was not at all pleased to see Leon.
âUncle Gilbert, Iris is injured and Iâm here to treat her,â Leon said sheepishly, unable to see Gilbertâs ey es.
Gilbert was Irisâs father, after all, and since Iris committed suicide because of him, Leon did not know how he could face Gilbert.
âWhat?!â Shocked, Gilbert focused on Iris, who laid in Leonâs arms and soon noticed the blood stain bef ore her chest.
The dagger stabbed into her chest was removed by Leon, but the blood stain remained.
âLouisa, wh- what happened? Whatâs wrong with Iris?â Gilbert paled, his voice trembling.
âUncle, Iris tried to get back together with Leon and when rejected, she chose to commit suicide,â Louisa sobbed.
âCommit suicide?â Gilbert felt as though he was struck by lightning.
He only thought that his daughter was injured and did not expect her to be dead.
âLeon Wolf, you bast*rd! How dare you get Iris killed?! Iâll kill you!â Furious, Gilbert darted toward Leon
while glaring at him with bloodshot eyes.
Startled, Leon dodged the attack while holding Iris.
âUncle Gilbert, calm down! Iâve already managed to secure the last strand of her life energy and she isn ât fully dead yet. I will bring her back,â Leon explained hastily.
âBullsh*t! How are you supposed to bring her back? Iâm going to kill you and avenge Iris!â Gilbert roared as he continued to launch himself at Leon.
âUncle, stop! If Leon says that he can bring Iris back, maybe he can! We canât delay this any further! W hy donât you let him try? If we wait any longer, Iris might really die for good!â Louisa shouted.
Gilbert sobered and regained his composure.
He knew that Louisa was right; no matter if Leon had the ability to revive Iris, he ought to let Leon try at âIâm warning you, Leon Wolf, you better be telling the truth! If you fail to revive Iris, Iâll have your head!â G âDonât worry. Iâll revive her for sureâ¦â Leon said with determination, before carrying Iris to the room downstairs and laying her down on a bed.
Louisa, Ariel and Gilbert all followed closely behind.
âLouisa, Iâll be treating her now and I canât be disturbed. You should all go out for now,â Leon said.
Irisâs injury was far too severe and he needed a quiet environment to proceed with the treatment.
