The Ex-Husband's Revenge
The Ex-Husbandâs Revenge By Dragonsky Chapter 93 Ariel glared at him angrily. She clenched her fists tightly, and she was already on the brink of exploding with rage.
âIâ¦â
Leon gulped after sensing Arielâs murderous gaze and glancing down at Arielâs clenched fist.
His intuition told him that he might get a severe beating from her if he so much as dared to say a single
word.
Getting punched by her was the last thing he wanted!
âOkay, okay. Iâll go with youâ¦â
Leon smiled meekly.
A wise man would know better than to fight when the odds are stacked against him. In any case, the co operation was already struck, so Ariel could do whatever she wanted!
It was not a big deal for Leon, as he could just treat it as accompanying Ariel for a walk.
âGlad you made the smart choice.â Ariel snorted coldly and dragged the incredibly reluctant Leon to the presidentâs office. Lily was then asked to print o ut the relevant documents that would be used for negotiating with the cooperation.
Leon needed the contract too, so he motioned for Lily to print two more copies in case of an emergency.
At the Wick Groupâs headquarters, Ariel drove Leon in her BMW and parked outside of the building.
âYou got lucky this time, Leon!â Ariel snorted coldly in what was a veiled criticism of Leon.
âI got lucky? How?â Leon was very puzzled.
Ariel said, âOne of my seniors from the university happens to be the manager of the Wick Groupâs publi c relations department. Iâll give him a call, as I believe itâll help to smoothen the cooperation.â
âNo wonder you insisted on cooperating with the Wick Group at the meeting! You have connections in their company!â Leon sudden ly realized.
âItâs not as simple as you think. He was one of my admirers, and I wouldnât have asked him for help if th ere was no other way! Besides, his position in the company isnât particularly high, so it remains to be se en if he would be of any help,â Ariel lamented.
An admirer was different from an ordinary friend, and she did not know how she would have to repay him in the future if she ended up owing him a favor.
Ariel took out her cell and gave her senior a call.
Not long later, a tall and handsome young man in a suit, tie, and leather shoes walked out of the compa ny. His appearance made him look like a businessâsavvy person.
Ariel brought Leon to meet him.
âLong time no see, Ariel.â The young manâs eyes lit up, and he greeted Ariel with a smile.
Ariel was once acknowledged as the most beautiful woman on campus, for her looks were second only to Iris. The young man spent more than a year trying to win Arielâs heart, but he was forced to abandon his efforts after failing to woo her.
It was a while since he last saw Ariel, and she became so much more beautiful than before. Though she in a wordâbreathtaking.
âYeah, itâs been a long time. Thank you for taking the trouble to help me, Gilbert.â Ariel smiled politely.
âDonât worry about it. Itâs no trouble at all. Please come on in. Weâll talk more inside,â said the young ma When they reached his office, Gilbert instructed the clerk to pour a cup of coffee each for Ariel and Leon âWho is this gentleman you brought along, Ariel?â Gilbert glanced suspiciously at Leon.
âLet me introduce you to him. This is Leon Wolf, a secretary to our companyâs presidentâ¦â Ariel briefly introduced the two of them.
âNice to meet you, Mister Florenziâ¦â Leon smiled cordially and took the initiative to greet the other party.
âAh, so heâs just a secretary!â Gilbert smiled halfâheartedly and looked at Leon with a certain degree of contempt.
