“Isn’t that normal?!” Gilbert said unhappily.

Ever since Leon took Elegante back again, he did not like Leon at all. There was no way he would be nice to Leon.

If Iris did not love Leon, he would have already chased Leon away!

Leon was still hesitant.

He did not think that anyone from the Youngs would care about their own blood relations.

Otherwise, Melvin, Jonah and the others would not just have let Daisy force Gilbert and Iris out just like that!

“There’s nothing to doubt! What? Do you think Jonah will harm Iris and me?” Gilbert mocked.

Blood was thicker than water. He was Jonah’s relative. There was no way Jonah would harm him!

Leon was just being suspicious for no reason!

“That’s not necessarily true! Mister Young, it doesn’t hurt to be careful! I just feel like we should proceed with caution with this,” Leon advised.

“A load of nonsense! Leon, I’m about to save Elder Young, but you’re deliberately being difficult about the whole thing. You’re even trying to throw a wedge between Jonah and I. What are you trying to do?”

Gilbert said angrily.

“I’m not-”

“Mister Young, I’m just worried for you and Iris…I feel like we should think about this,” Leon said in a hurry, but he was interrupted by Gilbert.

“Enough, I don’t want to hear anymore! Leon, don’t think I don’t know what you’re thinking. You still hate my father because he broke you and Iris up before! You must not want me saving my father, so you’re trying to figure out a way to stop it. Isn’t that right?” Gilbert sneered, looking like he was already through Leon’s ploy.

“No, that’s not what I’m trying to do,” Leon smiled bitterly.

He could tell that this matter did not seem as simple as it did on the surface. He wanted to stop them, but Gilbert refused to listen. He started to feel helpless.

“Leon, don’t worry. It’s not like what my father is saying doesn’t make sense. Even if my uncle won’t help us sincerely, there’s no way he’ll harm us! The Youngs are one of the four great families no matter what. They are incredibly concerned with their own reputation and image. There’s no way they’ll do anything so despicable!” Iris said.
