The Ex-Husband’s Revenge By Dragonsky Chapter 972
The Ex-Husband's Revenge
If Leonâs true power level was not at the Peak Supreme State but at the Intermediate Supreme State instead, they were screwedâJackson would surely be able to defeat him as easily as swatting a fly, and Leon would stand no chance of escaping at all!
âNo, I wonât leave Iris here by herself!â Leon shook his head and rejected Ruthâs suggestion.
âWhat?â Ruth could not believe her ears. She never thought, not even in her wildest dreams, that Leon would still be preoccupied with Irisâs safety at a time like this, not when his own life was in peril!
âLeon, listen to me. I know youâre worried about Iris, but donât worry, Iâve already texted my grandfather for help, and Iâm sure it wonât be long until my grandfather and the rest of the Collinsâ masters arrive.
âBesides, Harold and the Youngs have already promised they wouldnât hurt Iris as of now. So the point is, you have to find a way to escape while you can, and when my grandfather arrives, Iâll help you save Iris, and the rest!â Ruth continued persuading Leon in a low voice.
âThat wonât do! Harold is clearly using Irisâs safety to threaten me, and if I even dare to escape, heâll definitely hurt them. I canât risk putting them in danger!â Leon sighed.
Harold tricked him into this, and with Irisâs life in his hands, there was no way Leon would escape, and Harold knew this too.
As for the Youngs, they were just a bunch of greedy, foolish people, and Leon did not dare to place his hope upon them!
Seeing that Leon and Ruth were muttering among each other and was yet to take on his challenge, Jackson was beginning to get impatient. He pointed in Leonâs direction and demanded, âLeon Wolf, come out and face your death!â
âLeon, donât be rash,â Ruth shook her head and reminded Leon once more, hoping that he would come to his senses and find a way to escape.
If Leon got lucky, he would make it out just in time for her grandfather to arrive, and with the Youngsâ promise, it was highly likely that Iris would not get hurt at all.
However, if Leon refused to escape while he could, there was only one foreseeable outcomeâdeath.
âThatâs right, Leon, listen to Ruth. Find a way to escapeâdonât just think about me,â Iris bit her lip as a worried expression crossed her face. She did not want Leon to give up his life for her!
âDonât worry, Iris, I have this all figured out!â Leon smiled, then turned and sauntered toward Jackson.
âThat bastard!â Ruth knew that Leon ignored her advice entirely, and could not help feeling outraged at this. However, on the other hand, the fact that Leon would rather put his life in danger than run away, leaving Iris behind, made Ruth admire him even more.
In the past, because of their first encounter that led to him hurting her, and his subsequent betrayal of Iris and Cynthia, Ruth was never so fond of Leon at all, but now, his loyalty and courage made her change her mind about him.
âLeon, if anything happens to you, I wonât be able to forgive myself! I refuse to remain on this earth that is devoid of your presence!â a glimmer of determination flashed across Irisâs face as she stared at Leonâs retreating figure.
Leon secretly ingested a Dragon Pill, then walked over until he was standing three feet away from Jackson, and declared, âIâm here!â
