The Ex-Husband's Revenge
The Ex-Husbandâs Revenge By Dragonsky Chapter 98 Jenson ignored everyoneâs surprised looks. He walked quickly to Leon and said with a respectful smile, âWhat brings you here to our company, Mister Wolf?â
âOh, Iâm here to discuss a possible cooperation,â Leon replied with a smile.
âCooperation? Oh, you mean the cooperation between the Elegante Group and the Wick Group? My grandfather just called me and said
that he agreed with you to sign the contract during dinner tonight. Why did you come here in advance?â
Jenson was surprised.
He was solely responsible for the Wick Groupâs sales channels business, and Bernard spoke to him about it on the phone earlier.
âWell, this here is Miss Summers, the assistant to our companyâs president. Iâve already told her that the cooperation has been negotiated, but she didnât believe me and insisted on coming here with meâ¦â Leon smiled helplessly and briefly explai ned the entire situation, including Gilbertâs harassment in the office.
âSo you werenât lying when you said you already negotiated a cooperation with the Wick Groupâs chairmanâ¦â Arielâs mi nd turned completely blank. She never once dreamed that everything Leon said at the meeting was true.
âOf course not. You do believe me now, donât you?â Leon shrugged it off.
Arielâs pretty face turned red and she was mortified after realizing how big of an idiot she was.
âThis was all your doing, Gilbert!â After figuring out the cause of the fiasco, Jenson lost his cool right aw ay and glanced sharply at Gilbert with a murderous look.
Startled, Gilbert rushed over in a hurry and tried to come up with an excuse for his despicable behavior. âNo, Mister Wick, thatâs not what happened, I didnât-
I âShut your mouth! I donât want to hear any of your excuses! Mister Wolf is our familyâs honored guest. You must be getting tired of life if you went so far as to disrespect hi m and his friend!â Jenson was so furious that he slapped Gilbert in the face and nearly sent the latter fly ing to one side.
Leon, who saved the life of Jensonâs grandfather, was more credible and trustworthy than Gilbert in Jen sonâs eyes. Gilbert could argue all he wanted, but it was all pointless!
âThe Wicksâ honored guest?â
The onlookers were shocked. No one expected Leon to have connections with Jenson, and it was even more surprising to hear that he was treated as an esteemed guest!
Such an association was a huge one!
âMister Wick, I didnât do anything of the sort. Heâs lying. Please believe meâ¦â Gilbert covered his cheeks and was still determined to rush over.
âDonât come near me! You are hereby dismissed from the company with immediate effect. Get out!â
Jenson kicked Gilbert away, then turned his attention to several security guards next to him, âSecurity! Please escort him out of the building!â
Leon had nothing personal against the security guards, so he stayed his strength when going against th Therefore, the guards only needed a bit of rest to recover their strength and stand back up.
After receiving Jensonâs orders, they began to despise Gilbert for nearly implicating them too.
âMister Wolf, Iâd like to ask for your forgiveness on behalf of the atrocious behavior that our companyâs s and your friend.â Jenson smiled apologetically and bowed his hands respectfully to offer an apology.
âYouâre too polite. Itâs fine as long as youâre able to excuse my rash behaviorâ¦â Leon scratched his head embarrassedly and felt somewhat remorseful. After all, he was the one who engaged in a brawl at Jensonâs company and made a whole mess of their place, yet Jenson took the initiative to apo him.
