Divorce Has Never Felt This Good Chapter 90
Divorce Has Never Felt This Good
After apologizing on Line Moments, Denise made the same apology on other social media apps. She also apologized on Twitter, while tagging the Fairway Groupâs official Twitter account.
In the snap of a finger, almost everyone knew that Beckyâs father was the richest man in Bluepond.
Elvin couldnât sleep the whole night once he came to know that Becky was the daughter of the Fairway Groupâs CEO.
The next day happened to be a weekend. Becky and Jessie dropped Stevie and Vivien off at the airport together.
On the way back, Becky received a call from Elvin.
But Becky declined the call as soon as she saw who was calling.
Jessie, who was sitting beside her, thought that the call was from Rory. âLet me guess. Now that Rory knows that you are the daughter of the richest man around, they want you back. Am I right?â
Becky stopped the car at a red light and turned to look at Jessie, her expression stoic. âThat was Elvin.â
âOh, that old man!â Jessie snorted. âHe caused so many troubles for you and now that he knows your real identity, he probably couldnât fall asleep last night.â
âI donât care. Iâve got nothing to do with him,â Becky said with a shrug.
Jessie nodded and then changed the subject. âLouisa said she wants to treat us to lunch today.â
âGreat,â Becky said, smiling.
It was rare for Louisa to be so generous. The last time Jessie and Becky had tried to help Louisa get customers, all they had gotten in return was a membership card each.
It was already eleven oâclock when they arrived at the location that Louisa had sent them. As soon as Becky got out of the car, she saw Rory and his friends.
Jessie, who had just finished sending a text, followed Beckyâs gaze. She immediately looked back at Becky and asked, âDo you want to say hi?â
Becky spared Jessie a dry glance and said, âI donât think so.â
Then, she turned around and walked into the restaurant.
Aiken had seen Jessie and Becky too. He was about to make his way over to them to greet Becky, but her reaction stunned him.
âCome on! We donât eat people!â he called.
He couldnât believe she left without saying hello.
The expression on Roryâs face darkened at his words.
Aiken saw this and added deliberately, âNo contact after divorce. Becky keeps her word.â
Roryâs eyes narrowed as he watched the figure disappear in the distance. âJust shut up, will you?â
âDonât be so angry, man. You are the one who wanted to divorce her.â
âAiken.â
Aiken stopped at the look on Roryâs face. He felt a chill down his spine as he watched Roryâs eyes glitter menacingly. âRelax. Iâm just talking to myself,â he said hurriedly.
Louisa had been generous in inviting Becky to lunch, but she obviously had a purpose. Her bar was doing well now, and she also earned well. She had become a success and wanted to open a new branch.
Louisa had already found the perfect place, which was located in a very good location right smack in the middle of an entertainment hub. She had bought a barbecue restaurant, but the place was a little small, so she ended up buying the store downstairs too. She now wanted to connect the two places as one.
But the problem was that the owner of the building didnât allow her to do so.
Hearing this, Becky finally understood what she wanted. âSo you want me to talk to Devin?â
Louisa was pouring coffee for Becky and she replied with a smile, âThat building belongs to the Stanley Group. Devin can do something about it.â
Becky looked at the cup of coffee in front of her and couldnât help but laugh as she asked, âWhy do you think Devin will do me a favor?â
âHe will. We all know that he loves you,â Louisa said with a smile.
Beckyâs face turned red. âThatâs not true.â
Louisa also knew that such a simple meal would not be enough for Becky to agree to help her. She pulled out the contract she had prepared and continued, âI will give you five percent of the shares.â
Becky glanced at her and smiled. âSince itâs a cooperation, Iâll give you one million. And I want ten percent shares.â
Louisa thought for a while and said, âDeal!â
After a short pause, she added, âI heard that Devin is planning to eat here today. How about we go to the entrance and wait for him?â
Becky was surprised.
