Chapter - 9

Elio was speeding through the road eager to see his dad, desperate for some answers. When he reached their company he didn't care if he parked the car correctly or incorrectly. He hurriedly walked towards the reception with anger. The receptionist looked shocked and scared seeing his state. Elio had a huge bump and bruise on his forehead and his sweater had blood on it, probably Tyler's.

"Are you okay sir?!"

The lady asked panicked.

"Where is dad?"

She was stumbling on her words.

"Conference room 102."

Elio took off after hearing her reply.

"Sir wait!"

Elio didn't stop and got inside the elevator. The receptionist quickly called Alessandro Giovanni. Alessandro, Nicolas, Elena and Maria were discussing about Elio's threat. The phone inside the conference room rang and Alessandro frowned, because he clearly told to not disturb him. He answered the call anyway.

"Sir Mr Elio is here. He is on his way to meet you and he is hurt."

Everyone present there stood up hearing Elio was hurt. Nicolas ran and opened the door with the others following him. They saw Elio getting out the elevator and walking angrily towards them. All of them literally ran to him, and when they were near him Elio raised his hand stopping them.

"Baby how did you get hurt?"

His dad asked stepping forward. Elio took a step back and looked at his parents and asked the question he was dying to ask.

"Are you the head of La Rosa?"

Everyone's eyes widened at the question. He looked at their faces and got the answers he wanted.

"Let's talk about that later huh? First let's go to the hospital."

Elena said trying to touch Elio. She touched his shoulder but he pushed her away making her stumble. Nicolas got angry at this action.

"How could you guys hide this from me?"

Elio asked sobbing. Nicolas sighed and walked towards him. Nicolas held his shoulders tight. Elio was thrashing around sobbing.

"Leave me!"

"No!"

Nicolas shouted making everyone around them fear him. Alessandro took a step forward scared he will hurt his son. Nobody gets to treat his Elio like that. Elio stopped moving and looked at Nicolas with trembling lips.

"Look stop acting like a kid and listen to them. They have a reason for doing that. So stop being stubborn."

Nicolas said rolling his eyes. Suddenly Elio's eyes rolled back and he lost consciousness. Nicolas held Elio in his arm gently slapping his cheeks to see if he opens his eyes.

"Hey Eli."

Everyone surrounded them panicked. Nicolas lifted Elio bridal style and walked towards the exit meant for VIPs.

"Wait."

Alessandro said stopping Nicolas. He took off his coat and covered Elio with that.

"We'll go to your mansion. And call that useless fucks who were with him."

Alessandro said to Nicolas. They walked to the parking lot where the Giovanni family was in one car and Nicolas and Elio in his car. Nicolas had Elio on his lap. He gently touched Elio's bruised forehead making Elio let out a pained whimper. Nicolas clenched his hand in anger. He will find the bastards who hurt his Elio and make them pay for it. His mind filled with such thoughts that he didn't realize that he called Elio his.

Elio felt his whole body was in pain. He could hear faint voices in the room. Was that his dad's voice? And Nicolas too? He struggled to open his eyes. But after lot of struggle he opened them with a groan gaining the attention of the people present in the room.

"Eli!!"

Alessandro and his wife rushed to his side. His mom held his hand rubbing it comfortingly. He pulled his hand away from her and she looked hurt by it.

"You passed out because of exhaustion and the doctor told you need to take a whole week rest."

Alessandro told his son.

"Me and your dad was thinking to stay here till you get okay."

"Out."

Elio said making everyone silent.

"What?"

"I said get out, i don't want to see you guys now."

"But-"

His mom started talking but Elio quickly cut her off.

"Should i leave then?"

Elio asked them. They left the room leaving Elio with Nicolas.

"You should listen to what they have to say. They really are hurt by your actions."

Nicolas said looking at Elio. Elio turned around and saw Nicolas standing next to the bed with his hands in his pocket. He really looked sexy. Elio shook his head and scoffed.

"You want me to listen to my family who lied to me my entire life?"

Elio sat up on the bed.

"You are taking their side because Elena is sad and you are upset because you can't see her like that."

Elio said making Nicolas look away. He was saying the truth.

"What about me? Think about the situation from my perspective."

Elio sighed tiredly.

"You should have at least told me to take my time to forgive them, but i guess my feelings don't matter."

Nicolas didn't know what to do so he decided to leave the room. Elio called him when he was about to open the door.

"What about those three?"

Elio wanted to know if they were okay.

"They will be given punishment . Afterall they failed in doing their duty."

"Don't. I'll decide what punishment to give them."

Elio said to Nicolas.

"Then can i let them in?"

Elio frowned at him.

"They've been waiting outside the room since we took you here."

Elio didn't know how to react to that so he just nodded. Nicolas opened the door and a very panicked looking Tyler, Simon and Jay came inside.

"Are you okay?"

"Thank God you don't have any serious injury."

"Are you feeling tired?"

The three of them surrounded him like a worried mother. Elio just stared at them so they all stopped rambling and waited for him to talk.

"You guys work in the mafia and you hid it from me."

Elio said upset.

"We know and we are ready to accept any punishment."

Simon said sad.

"But we don't want to break our friendship."

Tyler said desperate.

"Just give me some time to forgive you."

.Elio said yawning. They all nodded hopefully.
