She stumbled and fell to the ground.“Rajveer!”, Saagarika barked, disgusted by his words and now seething with rage at the sight of him hitting Aadhya.Turning toward Saagarika, Rajveer took a bold step forward and snarled,“What? Did I strike the right nerve? By hitting your daughter-in-law, did I finally crush your family’s so-called self-esteem?”.He let out a menacing laugh before grabbing a flower vase from the nearby coffee table and hurling it at her hand.The impact knocked the gun from Saagarika’s grip. She gasped in shock and looked at Rajveer with blazing rage, quickly trying to reach for the gun. But Rajveer was faster, he kicked it far across the room, out of reach.Aadhya swiftly rose to her feet, sensing the danger escalate. Her body trembled with fear as she watched the gun slide away from Saagarika’s hand.Saagarika took a step back, steadying herself. Her demeanor was composed, but her eyes burned with fury.“Rajveer!”, she said coldly,“don’t forget—you’re playing with fire. You know exactly what Nandu will do to you once he gets here”.Rajveer barked a laugh. “Do you think I’m a fool? Don’t I know you already informed him before entering this house? But before he arrives, I’ll make him watch, watch your humiliation with his own eyes and drown in guilt for failing to protect you!”.With a deranged glare, he lunged toward Saagarika and grabbed the end of her saree pallu.Frightened, mortified, and stunned by the sudden turn of events, Saagarika held her saree tightly, her eyes shooting daggers at him as she growled,“Rajveer!! You’re inviting your own death. Don’t cross your limits!”.“Hahaha! If it means watching Anand humiliated and broken, I’ll even welcome death”, Rajveer barked, yanking at her saree with a firm grip.But before he could strip her dignity, Aadhya leapt at him, unable to bear the sight of her mother-in-law being violated. She grabbed his wrist with fierce determination and sank her teeth into his hand with all her might.Rajveer roared in pain and tried to free himself, grabbing Aadhya’s hair with his other hand, twisting it roughly as he struggled to release himself from her iron grip.Aadhya tried to keep her grip firm, her teeth still sunk deep into Rajveer’s hand, enduring the sharp pain radiating through her scalp as he yanked her hair. But when the pain became unbearable, she finally released him.Rajveer, now fuming, stared at his bloodied hand, the bite marks deep and raw. His eyes blazed with fury as he raised his hand and slapped Aadhya across the face—once, twice–his rage unchecked.Saagarika rushed forward to stop him, but before she could reach them, Aadhya caught Rajveer’s wrist again, holding it tightly with every ounce of strength left in her.“Madam!”, she shouted, tears welling in her eyes,“Please leave this place! I can’t bear to watch you be humiliated by this monster. Please, go! Think of your family—imagine their sorrow if they learn what happened here. Please… go!”.Rajveer struggled in her grip, trying to free himself, but Aadhya held on, refusing to let him advance.Shaking her head, Saagarika still tried to move forward, desperate to protect Aadhya.
