Shen Yan subconsciously pulled down the hem of her shirt with a presentable smile on her face. “Do you have two minutes to spare?”

Huo Chengyu ignored her and continued walking forward. Shen Yan didn’t dare to hesitate any longer and quickly said, “Chengyu, let’s get divorced.”

Huo Chengyu finally stopped walking and looked at her straight in the eye. With a slight frown of displeasure, he said, “Shen Yan, don’t be nonsensical.”

‘Nonsensical?’

Shen Yan smiled bitterly and said, “I’m not being nonsensical. I know you don’t want to acknowledge our marriage and if we continue dragging this on, it’ll be exhausting for the both of us.”

She really used to have countless fantasies about the life she would lead after marrying him.

She now realized that they were nothing but fantasies.

She envied Jianyi for her carefree and spontaneous character.

Huo Chengyu had a gloomy gaze and a sullen expression on his face. “I’m very busy, I don’t have time to waste with you. Don’t say such things again in the future, Grandpa won’t be happy to hear them.”

She didn’t look well and seemed to have not noticed their presence.

Yan Jinyi glanced at Huo Qingyuan and ordered, “You, go upstairs and study.”

She then smiled immediately and stepped forward to sit down beside Shen Yan. “My dear sister-in-law, do you miss me after a few hours of being away from me?”

Shen Yan was slightly startled but she quickly smiled and looked at Yan Jinyi. “You’re home. Have you had dinner?”

“No, the shops on the street aren’t open. Even the noodle store is closed,” Yan Jinyi griped with a frown. “Is Huo Chengyu home yet?”

“Yes.” Shen Yan hesitated before saying, “Jinyi, I just told him that I want a divorce.”

Yan Jinyi grinned widely right away. “That’s great, I’ll have a chance once you become single again.”

Shen Yan chided, “Don’t talk nonsense. He opposed against it, claiming that the Huo Family needs a Young Mistress like me.”

Hah…

‘That’s what men are like, they insist on tying women down and keeping them by their side even if they don’t have feelings for them.’
