Chapter 75: Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees

The progress of the film was going well and for some reason, Zhuang Heng had been performing exceptionally well in the past few days although he was always known to make mistakes. Even Yan Jinyi had more NG takes than him.

After filming a sweaty fight scene, Yan Jinyi sat on a recliner with a cup of milk tea.

Yan Jinyi had already searched the entire hot search list and learned that a famous director of the industry had already gotten ready to produce a new film. The actors were all ready.

They did not do it on purpose either and the male lead was Zhuang Heng’s arch nemesis, an actor who had been getting suppressed by Zhuang Heng. On the other hand, the female lead was the best actress, Liu Ran.

‘Are they trying to suppress us with the cast?’

Yan Jinyi smiled with contempt and turned to look at Tao Wei. “Director Tao, are you scared?”

“Scared of Lin Chenggong? Why would I be scared of a scumbag who turns his back against everyone and resorts to lowly means to make a name for himself?”

“Okay.”

Yan Jinyi was a little curious. Lin Chenggong managed to become popular because of a hit suspense film that he had directed. Many actors hoped to cooperate with him.

Besides, he had a good reputation even though he was a little arrogant.

“Does Director Tao have something against Lin Chenggong?”

At the mention of Lin Chenggong,Tao Wei’s eyes were full of hatred. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, wishing he could chop that person up into pieces.

“Director Tao, what do you think of Lin Chenggong’s new film?”

“Our main character is a female bandit while theirs is a male pirate. Isn’t that mimicking our plot?”

He refused to admit that he had plagiarized someone else’s work and resorted to unscrupulous means to win higher votes.

That was Lin Chenggong’s capabilities.

Lin Chenggong just liked going against others. There was a newbie director who got forced to switch careers because of him.

“The comments about us on the Internet are negative.”

There were even many haters of Zhuang Heng who emerged and said that he relied on his good looks to make a living. They slammed him for having no professional ethics.

She was a minor actor in the first place, so there was no big deal with being hated on.

“Do you think we will lose?”
