Chapter 104 Secretly Photographed

Dad, Stay Away from My Mom

"Mr. Thomas?" He could hardly believe his eyes.

Raymond's gaze was intense and piercing. He stood there silently, exuding an aura so

powerful that no one dared to approach him.

The man was so frightened he nearly wet himself. He quickly plastered on a

sycophantic smile.

"Mr. Thomas, it's really you! What an honor!"

He extended his hand for a handshake, but Raymond's icy stare made him awkwardly retract it.

"Honey, what are you doing? His son bullied Zander, why aren't you hitting him?" the woman shouted in confusion.

"Shut up!" the fat man roared back at her.

"Apologize! How could Mr. Thomas possibly bully Zander? What nonsense are you spouting?"

"Honey..." The woman was startled by her husband's sudden fierceness.

"Mr. Thomas, we were wrong. We'll cover the medical expenses," the man said urgently.

"If you dare say another word, I'll beat you to death right here."

Raymond watched the scene coldly, a mocking smile playing on his lips.

Imogen and Melinda observed quietly.

Imogen had been thinking of how to defuse the situation, but now it seemed unnecessary.

Melinda smiled with relief. With Raymond here, Sam's grievances would be addressed.

"Ms. Sharp, about the medical expenses..." Imogen stepped forward, not daring to offend Raymond.

Melinda replied calmly, "The child's father will decide." She turned and walked towards Raymond.

The fat man looked at his cowering wife and forced himself to maintain his bravado. "Apologize to Mrs. Melinda Thomas and Mr. Sam Thomas," he barked. The woman, her arrogance deflated, walked over to her husband.

"Mr. Sam Thomas, Mrs. Melinda Thomas, I'm sorry. Zander was out of line for hitting Mr. Sam Thomas. Whatever you decide, we'll comply." The man thought his apology was sufficient, but Raymond's cold expression showed he wasn't interested.

In fact, the Thomas Group's largest shareholders, besides the grandfather, included Raymond. The other seven or eight shareholders held between 5% and 15% each. This man held 5%, and had previously flaunted his connection to the Thomas Group. Now, he had crossed the wrong person.

Raymond simply stared at him, not bothering to respond.

Sam blinked, a smile forming on his lips. So Raymond was this powerful!

"Dad, Sam's a jerk, he..." Zander began, but his father smacked him, making him cry out in pain. "Mom, Dad hit me..."

"Who are you calling a jerk? That's Mr. Thomas! If you insult him again, I'll beat you to death."

The young woman quickly hugged her son, glaring angrily at her husband.

"Why are you hitting the child?"

Melinda looked at the family of three and calmly asked, "Who hit whom? I think everyone here saw it clearly. How should we handle the apology?"

The previously aggressive woman fell silent.

Melinda turned to the woman beside the fat man. "An apology should be sincere," she said coolly.

Zander's father yanked him over. "Apologize to Mr. Thomas," he growled.

"I won't..." Zander bit his lip, glaring at Sam.

"In that case, we'll get a medical examination and take legal action," Melinda said coldly.

Zander received another slap, falling to the ground.

Zander crawled to his mother, crying, "It was Sam who hit me..."

The man, furious, slapped Zander again.

Melinda frowned slightly. This man was no good either.

"Honey?" The woman hugged her son protectively.

The man shouted, "Useless! Do you want to get us all kicked out of Shadow City? Offending Mr. Thomas means we're done here." The woman didn't dare respond. Melinda looked down slightly, finding the family of three ridiculous.

"Mrs. Thomas, I'm sorry!" The woman approached Melinda, gritting her teeth.

Her eyes were fixed on Sam, who was perched on Raymond's shoulder, with a cold glint in her gaze.

Sam buried his head in Raymond's neck, clutching him tightly.

The woman's eyes met Raymond's cold, stern gaze, and she swallowed her resentment.

From arrogant and domineering to groveling in a matter of minutes.

The once proud family now huddled together, wishing they could disappear.

Raymond was a man they could never afford to offend.

Imogen approached Melinda and Raymond, sweating nervously. "Ms. Sharp, I'm deeply

sorry for such a terrible incident at our school."

"Rest assured, we will investigate thoroughly and give you and Mr. Thomas a satisfactory explanation."

Soon, Melinda received the school's decision: Zander was transferred to another class,

and his parents agreed to cover all medical expenses.

Once in the car, Sam leaned against Melinda. "Mommy, I know I was wrong."

After the commotion, Sam admitted his mistake.

Melinda gently stroked his head. "Admitting your mistakes makes you a good boy."

Sam's big, watery eyes blinked. "Mommy, can I still stand up for myself next time?"

"Yes, but we need to use the right methods. Protecting friends from bullies doesn't always require fighting. We can involve teachers or parents to handle it. How about that?"

"Okay, I understand, Mommy." Sam nodded, remembering Melinda's words. Melinda looked at her obedient son, her eyes filled with worry.

She had already seen through Zander's mother-a domineering woman who believed her child was always right, even when he was wrong. Such a person would only raise a selfish child.

"Melinda, I think it's good this way. Boys should protect girls, but we need to teach Sam not to get hurt in the process," Raymond said, joining the conversation as he drove.

"Raymond, you might spoil him. Fighting isn't a good habit," Melinda said seriously. Raymond's deep eyes softened. "I'll follow your lead."

"Sam, let's be brave protectors of justice, okay? If someone bullies a girl, we won't fight.

We'll find other ways," Raymond said earnestly to Sam.

The car reached the city, and Raymond pointed to a nearby restaurant. "Let's get something to eat."

"Okay!"

After parking, he lifted Sam from the car and held Melinda's hand as they walked to the restaurant.

The restaurant's unique and tasteful decor exuded a deep, charming ambiance.

Dim lights, like scattered stars, cast a mysterious and intimate glow.

Soft jazz music filled the air, its melody gentle and slow.

Sam's eyes lit up at the sight of the children's play area, and he ran over excitedly.

Raymond led Melinda to a quiet corner.

As they sat down, an unexpected guest quietly followed them in.
