Chapter 133 Raymond is Jealous

Dad, Stay Away from My Mom

Just as the two women were chatting and laughing, a voice suddenly interrupted from behind.

They turned around and covered their mouths, giggling.

It was William, his handsome face exuding confidence and charisma.

"So, have you confirmed my good looks yet?"

The women nodded in agreement, "Yes, yes, William, you've been handsome since you were a kid."

"Of course! Aunties always have the best taste," William said with a playful wink and a smile.

"Melinda, you tell me, who's more handsome, me or Raymond?" He pulled Melinda into the conversation, insisting on a comparison.

"You're good-looking, okay?" Melinda laughed, unable to deny that William and Raymond were equally attractive, though William lacked Raymond's commanding presence.

William reached out to take her hand, "Melinda, come on, I need to talk to you."

But before he could touch her, he was interrupted and quickly withdrew his hand. "What can't you say in front of me?" Raymond stood a few steps away, arms crossed, his gaze coldly fixed on William.

Melinda, amused by the two men vying for her attention, decided to play along, "William, stop being mysterious and just say it!"

William retracted his hand, forcing a smile, "So stingy, can't even lend me your girlfriend for a moment."

"No," Raymond refused bluntly.

"I was the one who let you have Melinda in the first place, and now you're treating me like this?" William feigned hurt.

Melinda watched the two men with a smile.

"Alright, stop arguing. There are so many people here, don't make a scene," Melinda

said seriously, her smile fading.

The two men fell silent immediately.

"Let's go say hi to Grandpa," Raymond said, turning first.

Melinda watched his back, knowing he was trying to ease the tension.

She smiled and nodded, their fingers intertwined as they walked towards the garden.

William followed reluctantly, knowing he was just a side character in this family reunion, free to join in the fun.

Larry was chatting with some elderly friends in the living room. When he saw Raymond and Melinda enter, his eyes softened with warmth.

"Melinda, come, sit," he said with a smile.

Melinda sat next to Larry, who looked at her with a mix of guilt and apology, "Didn't bring Sam?"

"Sam's at home, being looked after."

"I really like that kid, so adorable."

Larry thought of Sam and was reminded of Raymond as a child.

Just then, Raymond was called outside by Roy.

"Mr. Thomas, I need to inform you, Ms. Lowe is here."

Raymond's face darkened, "Who invited her?"

"Ms. Lowe arrived early this morning. I don't know who informed her," Roy said helplessly.

A cold glint flashed in Raymond's eyes. There was only one person who could have leaked the information to Emily-his assistant, Nolan.

Emily was indeed resourceful, even managing to bribe someone close to him.

"Where is she?" Raymond asked coldly.

"She's having tea in the garden."

Raymond glanced at Melinda chatting with Larry, then headed towards the garden.

Emily had been waiting to be invited to the living room, but instead, she was met by a stern-faced Raymond.

Emily was startled, almost dropping her teacup, "Raymond, how did you know I was here?"

Ever since Raymond learned that Emily was behind Melinda's suffering, he looked at her with nothing but coldness.

"This is a Thomas family gathering. There's no need to invite outsiders," Raymond said, his voice icy.

Emily's eyes reddened, "Melinda can come, but I can't? Raymond, you've changed." Raymond's brows furrowed slightly, his tone indifferent, "You and Melinda have never been comparable in my heart. The only thing I ever wanted to compensate you for was material."

Emily sensed the coldness in his words and panicked, "Raymond, why are you suddenly treating me like this?"

"Five years ago, Melinda suffered humiliation because of you, didn't she?"

Emily trembled, shaking her head vigorously, "It wasn't me, Raymond. I was deceived that day too, you know that."

"Really?" Raymond sneered, his gaze icy.

Emily's heart tightened.

She bit her lip, trying to maintain a pitiful expression, "Raymond, I don't know what Melinda told you. She hates me, and I accept that, but why are you treating me like this too?"

"Don't play the victim. Shouldn't she hate you? Do you think no one knows the truth just because you don't speak of it?" Raymond's eyes were as cold as snow.

Emily's emotions crumbled, tears falling, "No... it's not like that, Raymond, you have to believe me."

Raymond's gaze was as cold as frost, "Stay here until the party is over."

His words were like a dagger to Emily's heart. She had gone through so much to transform herself into his ideal, only to be told he never wanted to see her again.

"Raymond..." Emily stood up to follow him, but two servants blocked her, "Ms. Lowe, please stay here."

Emily's heart sank. Raymond's attitude made it clear that no matter what she did, he only loved Melinda.

Even though she had come to the Thomas Villa, he still wanted to confine her. Today, Melinda was the star, and she was to be humiliated here?

Emily sat back down, her eyes filled with intense hatred. As long as Melinda was alive, she was her biggest obstacle.

In the living room, Melinda was unaware that Emily had arrived. Larry had taken her to a quiet room to talk about the details of how Raymond was saved, leaving nothing out.

The complex situation back then meant that Scott was under pressure when he saved Raymond, but he did it out of duty as a police officer, not because anyone forced him. "Melinda, if you want to blame someone, blame me, not Raymond, okay?" Listening to Larry, Melinda felt a twinge of doubt in her heart.

"Grandpa, I'm sorry. I believed Rufus and misunderstood you," Melinda apologized.

Larry didn't want to say much about Rufus, only hoping the younger generation wouldn't be harmed by him anymore.

Raymond had instructed Roy to entertain Emily in the garden and to ask her to leave after lunch.

He walked towards the room where Melinda and Larry were talking, his expression softening as he saw them getting along well. The coldness he had shown Emily disappeared.

Melinda heard the door and looked up, her cheeks flushing slightly.

Larry noticed and chuckled, "Alright, I should go greet the other guests. Raymond, you two have a good chat."

With that, Larry left, and Raymond naturally sat beside her, his deep eyes fixed on her.

Melinda's cheeks turned red under his gaze, and she turned her head away, "Why are you staring at me?"

"Did you say William is better looking than me?" Raymond asked, unwilling to let it go. Melinda burst into laughter, "Are you jealous?"

Raymond pulled her into his arms, his face close to hers.

A flawless face filled her vision.

"Look closely, why aren't you satisfied with this face?" Raymond said, unusually not arguing back.

Melinda smiled, realizing Raymond was indeed jealous.

She laughed, and Raymond's arm lazily wrapped around her waist, his cool lips moving

closer.

"Raymond, don't..." Melinda froze, not daring to move.

Raymond's lips were almost touching hers, which was completely improper!
