Chapter 165: The Bank Card is Frozen

Dad, Stay Away from My Mom

He was in rags. "What's your problem?"

Emily's voice was sharp with impatience as she gave him a light shove. "Where did this beggar come from? Get lost and stop blocking my front door!"

The man stumbled, nearly falling to the ground.

He looked up, revealing a pair of sunken eyes that sparkled with greed and desire.

He stared intently at the door of the Lowe Villa.

Seeing his expression, Emily felt a wave of disgust.

Even after being rejected, the man didn't leave immediately. Instead, he continued to stare at the door of the Lowe Villa, his gaze growing more covetous.

Emily stormed back inside and angrily instructed Cindy, "Make sure those beggars stay far away from now on. Don't let them loiter around the entrance."

Cindy nodded repeatedly, agreeing, "Yes, Ms. Lowe."

Meanwhile, Emily picked up her phone and called Leo.

On the other end, Leo lied, claiming he was meeting a client and couldn't come home right away.

Emily was displeased but had no choice.

Little did she know, Leo was actually sitting in a cozy corner of a café with another woman, acting like a couple in love...

The next morning, Melinda didn't go to the office. She spent the morning in the hospital and returned to the Lowe Villa in the afternoon to take Sam to the park.

She was followed by several bodyguards, all arranged by Raymond.

Sam hadn't seen her in a while and was overjoyed, holding Melinda's hand and asking curiously, "Mom, when will Grandma wake up?"

She gently patted the child's head and softly said, "Be good, Sam. Grandma will wake up soon. I'll be busy for a while, so you need to listen to Great-Grandpa, okay?"

Sam nodded understandingly and added, "Mom, I saw Mr. Thomas's photo album and noticed I looked a lot like him when I was little."

Melinda didn't think much of it, assuming Sam was just trying to make her happy, and didn't give it further thought.

After leaving the park, the bodyguards took Sam back to the Thomas Villa.

Melinda returned to the hospital alone.

Just as she reached the hospital entrance, she received a call from Stuart.

A worried voice came through the phone, "Ms. Sharp, we've tracked a recent

expenditure from the Lowe Group. Leo purchased a property, a downtown apartment worth twenty million dollars."

"What?" Melinda's face darkened immediately. She coldly instructed, "Keep investigating. See if any other funds have been misappropriated." Then she hung up.

Twenty million dollars? Leo was bold. Engaged to Emily on one hand, and buying such an expensive property on the other. Was it a marital home or for another woman? A sense of foreboding filled her heart.

At the Lowe Villa, Emily hadn't slept all night.

She sat by the bed, watching the sky gradually brighten outside the window, filled with disappointment and anger.

She had waited all night but never saw Leo.

Unbeknownst to her, Leo was lying in another woman's arms.

In the morning, as Emily drove out, a figure suddenly blocked her car.

She looked closely and saw it was the man who had previously lingered at her house. He looked at her with a lecherous smile.

"Emily, long time no see," the man said mockingly. "You're the heir to the Lowe Group now, living the high life."

Emily frowned and coldly said, "What do you want? I'm busy and don't have time for your nonsense."

The man didn't let her go, continuing, "Emily, don't think changing your name can hide your past. You're not Bobby's daughter. You're my daughter with your mom. I need money now."

"Bullshit, that's impossible!" Emily wasn't stupid. She wouldn't believe just anyone claiming she wasn't the Lowe Family's daughter.

"Hahaha! I knew you wouldn't believe me. You have a birthmark on your waist, and your mom's name is Jasmine Faye."

The more the man spoke, the worse Emily's expression became. She stared at him, a sense of panic rising within her.

"Do you want me to keep talking, or should we get a DNA test?"

The man wasn't afraid of Emily denying it. She was his daughter, and now that he needed money, it was only right for her to support him.

She hurriedly took out some cash from her bag and threw it at him, shouting, "Shut up! Take the money and get lost! Never show up in front of me again!"

The man took the money, counted it, and left satisfied.

Emily watched his figure disappear into the crowd, her heart in turmoil.

She felt a sudden panic. If this news got out, everything she had would be ruined.

And all of this was overheard by Cindy, who was sweeping the yard.

She watched Emily's car leave, filled with shock and confusion.

She never imagined that Emily wasn't Bobby's daughter but the daughter of that beggar.

Suddenly, an idea struck Cindy. A sly smile crossed her face, knowing this information was a golden opportunity for her.

She could use this news to get a large sum of money from Emily for her retirement.

As she thought about it, she couldn't help but laugh.

Meanwhile, Stuart also received a call from his subordinate.

Listening to the news, his expression grew serious.

He hadn't expected Leo to betray Emily and get involved with another woman.

And that woman was none other than Emily's good friend, Elsie.

Every time Emily flaunted in front of Elsie, Elsie grew envious. Unable to seduce Raymond, she turned to Leo. Using Emily's name, she got close to Leo.

For a man, who would refuse a woman throwing herself at him?

Stuart reported the situation to Raymond. After glancing at the video and photos,

Raymond frowned slightly. "Send this to Melinda."

When Melinda received the email, she glanced at it and sneered.

Leo and Elsie, how shameless! She decided to use the finance department to uncover more of Leo's illegal activities and ruin him!

Melinda immediately instructed the accountants to investigate.

She also contacted the bank and discovered significant recent financial movements, suspecting Leo was secretly transferring company funds, with Emily likely unaware.

At that moment, Emily was anxious. The sudden appearance of her biological father was like a thunderbolt, leaving her at a loss.

Worried that if Bobby found out, she would be mercilessly kicked out of the Lowe Villa, becoming a beggar herself.

No, she decided to discuss it with Leo first. Arriving at the Lowe Group's CEO office, she saw Leo busy with work.

"Leo, why didn't you come home last night? I waited for you all night," Emily asked sweetly as she walked over.

Leo saw Emily, a flash of disgust in his eyes, but he quickly composed himself. "Emily, I'm sorry. I was drinking with a client and got drunk. I didn't want to wake you, so I stayed at a nearby hotel. You don't mind, do you?"

"Of course not, you're making money for the company!" Emily forced a smile.

"Do you have something to discuss today?" Leo asked directly. Emily's value was diminishing, but he still had to keep up appearances.

"I just... missed you." Emily was also speaking insincerely. If it weren't for not being able

to get Raymond, she wouldn't have followed Bobby's arrangements.

She decided to keep her background a secret, or the Lowe Group might return to Melinda, making her life difficult.
