Chapter 19 Pretending to Faint
Dad, Stay Away from My Mom
The call was from Lena, and she reported a piece of news to Emily that made her face change instantly: Melinda seemed to be going to the Thomas Villa! Emily's face turned terrifyingly dark, and she gritted her teeth with intense hatred flashing in her eyes. She would never let Melinda succeed!
On Monday morning, Melinda had just stepped into the office and hadn't even put down her bag when she suddenly received a call from Raymond. "Don't forget what you promised me."
"Now? That's too soon!"
She wanted to find some excuse to delay, but Raymond interrupted her mercilessly.
"Don't try to test my patience." Raymond's voice was low and powerful, with an undeniable authority.
She could only grit her teeth and nod in agreement.
Melinda took a deep breath, trying to calm her emotions. She knew she had to stay calm and clear-headed to handle whatever might happen next.
Melinda hurriedly asked Frank for leave, grabbed her bag, and quickly left the office.
Lena watched her leave, a hint of doubt and curiosity flashing in her eyes. She quickly followed, wanting to find out what was going on.
When Lena saw Melinda getting into Raymond's luxury car, she was stunned. Melinda was going on a date with Raymond during work hours? This was simply unbelievable!
Lena quickly took out her phone, snapped a photo, and sent it directly to Emily. At that moment, Emily was splurging in the mall, trying to soothe her inner turmoil with material satisfaction. However, the notification sound of her phone was like a bomb, instantly shattering her peace.
She opened it to see a photo from Lena and a message: "Ms. Lowe, Melinda got into Mr. Thomas's car again. It looks like they're going on a date." Emily's anger flared up instantly. That bitch Melinda dared to seduce her Raymond during work hours!
Emily was furious and decided to teach Melinda a harsh lesson.
She hurriedly left the mall, got into her car, and floored the gas pedal. The car shot out like an arrow. She saw a wall next to the parking lot and crashed into it without hesitation.
The impact rebounded, causing a sharp pain in her forehead, almost making her faint. She took a deep breath and dialed Raymond's number.
Soon, the call connected, and Raymond's deep voice came through.
"Hello, what's the matter?" Raymond's voice carried a hint of concern.
"Raymond, I'm hurt. It hurts so much. Please come and save me!" Emily said with a sob, her voice full of helplessness and fear.
Raymond immediately became tense upon hearing this. "Are you hurt? Tell me the address, I'll be right there."
After hanging up, he glanced at Melinda and said in a deep voice, "I need to take care of something first. You're coming with me."
Melinda nodded, but a sense of unease welled up inside her.
The car sped off and quickly arrived at the location Emily had sent.
She followed Raymond out of the car and saw Emily squatting alone by her car, hugging her thin knees with her hands. The bloodstain on her forehead was shocking, and she exuded a heart-wrenching aura.
"Emily!" Raymond couldn't help but exclaim, quickly walking over to help Emily up. "What happened to you? How did you get hurt on your forehead?"
Emily looked up, tears streaming down her face, her lips trembling but unable to say a word.
She couldn't help but turn to look at Melinda, a hint of resentment flashing in her eyes.
Raymond frowned slightly, his voice low and concerned. "I'll have Stuart take you to the hospital, okay?"
Stuart?

Emily's eyes flashed with anger. She was in such a state, almost losing her life, and Raymond was just going to have Stuart, a mere personal secretary, take care of her.
"Raymond, I don't want to go to the hospital. Can you take me home?" she said, clutching Raymond's hand tightly.
Raymond was silent for a moment before slowly speaking. "I have things to take care of, and your wound needs treatment. Stuart will take good care of you." A hint of coldness flashed in his eyes.
"Oh, my head is so dizzy," Emily's voice trembled as she collapsed into Raymond's
arms.
Melinda watched this scene with utter disgust.
She said coldly, "Mr. Thomas, since your girlfriend Emily is hurt, I'll leave now." Raymond frowned, "Wait, go wait in the car."
He glanced at Emily, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes.
He gently pushed Emily away from his embrace, his movements tender yet firm.
Then, he took out his phone from his pocket and quickly dialed a number, speaking coldly, "Come and handle this immediately."
Emily looked at him, her wound throbbing with pain, but the hatred in her heart was far greater.
"Melinda, you forced me to do this," she thought bitterly.
Soon, a black car sped over and stopped in front of them. The door opened, and Stuart quickly walked over, bowing respectfully. "Mr. Thomas, what do you need me to do?"

"Take her to the hospital for treatment. You handle the rest," Raymond said as he pushed Emily towards Stuart.
Stuart stood there awkwardly, looking at Raymond, unsure of what to do.
Emily heard this and clutched Raymond's sleeve tightly, pouting, "Raymond, I don't want anyone else. I want you to take me to the hospital." Her voice was coquettish. Raymond frowned slightly. Emily was frightened, and he should be by her side. Seeing Raymond's hesitation, Emily played her last card. "Raymond, I'm so dizzy." Before she finished speaking, she fainted.
Raymond reacted quickly, catching her again. "Emily! I'll take you to the hospital." He then carried Emily in his arms and walked quickly to the car.
He turned to Melinda in the car and said, "Melinda, take a cab back to the office." His voice carried a hint of urgency.
Melinda watched Raymond's car speed away, a cold smile on her face.
She took a breath and turned to Stuart, ready to take a cab back to the office.
"Ms. Sharp, let me take you back," Stuart said with a smile, opening the car door.
They were all Raymond's women, and he couldn't afford to offend any of them. Melinda stubbornly shook her head. "I'll take a cab back myself. Ms. White, you should go back too." With that, she walked briskly towards the elevator.
At the Thomas Group International Hospital, after a series of examinations, Emily was found to have no major issues other than being frightened and having a mild concussion.
The wound on her forehead was not deep, and the nurse treated it simply.
