Chapter 192 Wedding Scene
Dad, Stay Away from My Mom
Melinda sat up, rubbing her sleepy eyes, and asked nervously, "Gwyneth, she..." "She's just my sister," Raymond cut her off. "Stop overthinking, Melinda."
"Okay!" Melinda finally felt relieved after hearing Raymond's response. She leaned into Raymond's embrace, feeling his warmth and heartbeat.
At that moment, she felt incredibly happy.
In another villa on the island, Claire was busy in the kitchen.
She wore a simple apron and t-shirt, her hair casually tied back.
Though she looked a bit disheveled, there was a unique charm about her.
Dennis walked into the kitchen and saw this scene.
He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "Looks like you're settling in well here."
Claire rolled her eyes. "Thanks to you, I haven't starved yet."
Dennis chuckled. "I'm going to a wedding tomorrow. Come with me."
"Why me?" Claire refused without a second thought.
"Because you're my date," Dennis said matter-of-factly. "I can't go alone. That would be embarrassing."
Claire was momentarily speechless. "But I don't have a dress."
"I'll take care of it," Dennis waved his hand dismissively. "Don't worry about it."
Watching Dennis leave, Claire couldn't help but pout.
She felt like Dennis was up to something.
But considering her current situation and the influence of the Gonzalez family... she decided to just go along with it.
The next morning, Melinda woke up and stretched.
Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her neck and sat up with a gasp.
Raymond rushed in upon hearing the noise. "What's wrong, Melinda?"
Seeing the mark on Melinda's neck, he paused and then laughed. "Is this... from last night?"
"You're still laughing!" Melinda glared at him playfully. "We have a wedding to attend today! How am I supposed to face people?"
"I think it looks great," Raymond said with a smile, sitting on the edge of the bed. "How about I give you another one?"
He leaned in for another kiss, but Melinda dodged. "Stop it! Help me cover it up!" The two of them playfully tussled, filling the room with a sweet and happy atmosphere.
Melinda stood in front of the mirror, frowning slightly, her slender fingers gently touching the faint mark on her neck, a reminder of last night's love with Raymond.
Though her heart was full of sweetness, she worried about the upcoming wedding. If sharp-eyed guests noticed the mark, it might lead to unnecessary gossip.
The makeup artist knocked and entered, her eyes lighting up at Melinda's natural beauty.
"Ms. Sharp, your skin is amazing. Even without makeup, you look so refined. You'll be stunning once we're done."
Melinda smiled slightly, her anxiety easing a bit.
Meanwhile, Kaia and Vincent were talking in a hotel room.
Kaia looked out the window, her tone tinged with dissatisfaction. "Melinda's really
made it big now. She used to be just a nobody."
Vincent, sitting on the couch with a deep gaze, said calmly, "Let's not dwell on the past. Everyone has their own path."
Kaia pouted but said nothing more.
Connie hurried to the wedding venue on a yacht, immediately going to see her grandson, Sam, who had grown taller and tanner since she last saw him.

"Sam, have you missed me?" Connie squatted down, hugging Sam warmly.
"I missed you so much, Grandma!" Sam exclaimed, diving into her arms like a little cannonball.
"What have you been up to? Have you been to the beach?" Connie stood up, holding Sam's hand as they walked. "You've gotten so tan, like a little man!"
"The beach is so fun! You can build sandcastles, catch starfish and crabs, and go fishing with Dad!"
Connie felt a wave of emotion.
She hoped Sam would grow up to be as outstanding as Raymond.
William, one of the groomsmen, arrived early in his suit.
He and Rhett, along with the other groomsmen, added a lot of charm to the wedding.
In another villa, Claire was excitedly running around as Dennis's bodyguards delivered several beautiful dresses for her to choose from.
She tried on many dresses, each one stunning, making it hard to decide. Finally, she chose a simple yet elegant light champagne-colored gown with a train, adorned with intricate embroidery, perfectly highlighting her long legs and slender waist.
In Melinda's dressing room, the atmosphere was tense but orderly.
Melinda wore a custom-made wedding dress, a blend of French palace style with a modern silhouette, adorned with hand-stitched diamonds. She stood quietly in front of
the makeup mirror, waiting for the makeup artist to finish.
"Melinda, this makeup is gorgeous. I love it," the bridesmaids gushed around her.
Melinda nodded slightly, her reflection showing a beautiful and confident woman, with the mark on her neck completely covered by makeup.
Gwyneth also entered, her eyes flashing with a mix of amazement and envy at Melinda's beauty.
She approached Melinda and said, "Melinda, you look stunning today! I wish you all the happiness!"
Melinda smiled back. "Thank you, Gwyneth! I hope you find your own happiness soon too!"
Just then, the door opened gently.
Everyone turned to see Raymond walk in. He wore a pure white suit with a white bow tie, his cufflinks set with exquisite blue sapphires. His mature, handsome face bore a faint smile. When he saw Gwyneth, he paused briefly but quickly regained his composure.
The two exchanged a meaningful look, as if the world around them had stopped.
Raymond gently waved his hand, signaling Gwyneth to leave. He wanted to speak with Melinda alone.
Though reluctant, Gwyneth turned and left quietly.
Watching Gwyneth leave, Raymond's eyes showed a hint of complex emotion, but it was soon replaced by tenderness for Melinda.
He wrapped his arm around Melinda's waist and softly praised, "Melinda, you look beautiful today."
Melinda's face lit up with a happy smile as she looked up at Raymond's handsome face, unable to resist complimenting him back. "You look very handsome too."
Raymond leaned down and gently kissed Melinda's forehead.
Meanwhile, outside the villa, Gwyneth was lost in her thoughts.
She remembered what her father had said earlier, and the upcoming wedding of
Raymond and Melinda, feeling a wave of sadness.
Her eyes reddened, tears welling up but never falling.
Suddenly, the door burst open, and a little boy in a white suit ran in.
It was her son, Sam.
"Mommy! You look so pretty!"
Sam ran to Melinda, his eyes wide with amazement.
Melinda beamed at Sam's compliment, bending down to hug him and planting a loud kiss on his cheek. "You're such a good boy! I'm dressed up like this to marry Daddy
today."
Thinking about the wedding, she knew how much it meant to Raymond and the Thomas family, and she understood the future responsibilities Sam would bear for the Thomas Group.
