Chapter 29: Parent-Child Activities
Dad, Stay Away from My Mom
This transformation was eye-catching, and a surge of inexplicable joy welled up in her heart. "Let's go," Raymond said calmly.
Melinda followed behind him as they walked together to the parent-child activity site.
Although she felt a bit uneasy, the thought of having Raymond by her side made her feel much more at ease.
Following behind Melinda, Lena watched as she gently opened the door of Raymond's luxury car and elegantly got in. This scene made Lena's eyes widen instantly, her heart filled with complex emotions of both surprise and jealousy.
In Lena's eyes, Melinda's actions seemed like a silent show-off.
Lena bit her lower lip tightly, filled with a sense of defeat, muttering, "She's really bold, going on a date with Mr. Thomas during work hours."
Thinking of this, Lena quickly took out her phone, ready to report this significant discovery to Emily.
Upon hearing Lena's report, Emily was almost furious.
She concluded that Melinda must be using work as an excuse to go out and have dates with Raymond all the time.
The hickey on Raymond's neck last time must have been deliberately left by Melinda!
On the way to the kindergarten, the more Melinda thought about it, the more awkward she felt.
She must have been out of her mind to ask Raymond to pretend to be Sam's father.
So she turned to Raymond and tentatively said, "How about you don't go?"
She thought she could explain to the teacher later that Sam's father had something urgent come up and couldn't make it.
Raymond looked straight ahead and said firmly, "I promised Sam."
"Sam won't mind. He'll understand if you have something urgent and can't make it."
Melinda continued.
Raymond glanced at her slightly, "Are you worried I'll embarrass you?"
"No."
Melinda said worriedly, "What if word gets out?"
Raymond's gaze deepened, and he asked again, "Do you really not want me to go?" "Yes." Melinda nodded repeatedly.
A flash of inspiration crossed Raymond's mind. He turned his head and looked at Melinda seriously, "Alright, as long as you agree to one condition, I won't go."
Melinda looked up in confusion, meeting Raymond's expectant eyes.
However, when she heard Raymond's next words, she was instantly stunned.
"As long as we get married now, I won't go." Raymond's voice was low, and every word was clearly heard by Melinda.
Melinda's eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at Raymond.
She opened her mouth but found herself speechless.
Raymond was using this method to force her to comply!
Seeing this, Raymond said no more and continued driving with a blank expression. The atmosphere in the car became somewhat oppressive.
Soon, the car arrived at the kindergarten entrance.
"Wait a bit, if we go down now, we can only wait at the entrance." Melinda withdrew her gaze and said calmly.
Melinda played with her phone out of boredom when suddenly a WhatsApp message popped up. It was an apology message from Elsie.
She had been so busy today that she completely forgot about Elsie's call. Her phone kept ringing in the lab, but she didn't have time to answer.
Melinda always felt that something was off with Elsie.

At that airport meeting, Elsie didn't even show any concern for her, which made her start to suspect that Elsie had some ulterior motive for approaching her.
Yesterday's scenes replayed in Melinda's mind, making her more and more suspicious of Elsie. She responded perfunctorily to Elsie's messages, but her gaze unconsciously drifted to Raymond beside her.
"It's time." Melinda glanced at her phone and opened the door to get out.
A flash of desire crossed Raymond's eyes, but it was quickly replaced by calmness and depth.
He also got out of the car and followed Melinda to the kindergarten gate.
At the entrance, two young female teachers were enthusiastically welcoming the parents.
But when they saw Raymond beside Melinda, they were stunned.
Many of the young female teachers couldn't help but cast curious glances at Raymond.
The female teachers couldn't help but look a few more times, filled with envy. Melinda was so lucky to marry such a handsome man like Raymond and have an equally handsome son like Sam!
The event was about to start, and the parents were taking their seats.
The private kindergarten Melinda enrolled Sam in, although the equipment was a bit simple and couldn't compare to those high-end kindergartens with various toys and facilities, the atmosphere here was just as lively.
Every child's face was filled with enthusiasm.
Sam immediately spotted the person he had been eagerly waiting for, grinning widely and showing his white teeth.
He waved at Raymond, his little face full of joy and anticipation.
Raymond's presence undoubtedly became the focus of the entire event.
Not only did the teachers frequently glance over, but even the young mothers couldn't help but cast envious and jealous looks.
The men, on the other hand, were sizing him up, wondering how Raymond managed to have all the good fortune.

After the principal finished speaking, the performances officially began.
Raymond's usually cold face now showed warmth and affection.
"Alright, next, we ask all participating fathers and mothers to put on our class uniforms."
As soon as the host finished speaking, the parents eagerly began changing into their uniforms.
The parent-child activity was about to begin, and everyone's eyes were shining with excitement.
In the crowd, Raymond stood out, making the class uniform look like high-end fashion.
Melinda couldn't help but take a few more glances. It was rare to see Raymond so approachable, and she felt a surge of wanting to take a photo to remember the moment.
"Alright, we ask all the parents to stand next to their children. We are about to start the first round of the parent-child activity."
The host's voice echoed in the venue.
Raymond walked over to Sam, who happily hugged him. Beside Melinda, two women
were whispering, "Their looks are just too high."
"The whole family's genes are so good," another woman agreed.
Their conversation reached Melinda's ears.
A parent standing next to her turned and said, "Sam really looks like your husband."
Melinda's face turned slightly red, and she smiled awkwardly, nodding.
The competition began, with the men holding balloons, testing the fathers' and children's coordination.
At the sound of the whistle, Raymond and Sam's coordination amazed everyone, their
speed leaving the other two groups far behind.
After the competition, Raymond and Sam unsurprisingly took first place.
