Chapter 36 Threatening Text Message
Dad, Stay Away from My Mom
Raymond, sitting on the sofa, looked at her, a hint of relief flashing in his eyes.
Relief that she was okay tonight.
However, at that moment, Melinda's phone suddenly rang.
Her nerves tightened, and she quickly walked to the sofa, picked up her phone, and
opened the message.
"Melinda, you'd better pretend that nothing happened tonight, or face the
consequences. Don't say I didn't warn you."
The message was full of threats.
Another message followed: "Think about your son Sam!"
A strong hatred flashed in Melinda's eyes.
So it was this bastard who brought her here to accompany others!
"Where are those bastards?" she asked Raymond.
"They should have been sent to the police station," Raymond replied.
At this moment, the door was knocked, the manager had already called the police, and the police were on their way. The security guards were still holding the people.
"Where is the security room?" Melinda asked.
"On the third floor," the manager quickly replied.
Melinda turned to Raymond, "Thank you for tonight, Mr. Thomas. I have to go now."
With that, she opened the door and was about to leave. However, Raymond took a long stride and followed her.
"Where are you going?" he asked, his eyes locked on her.
"I'm going to the security room," Melinda replied.
The two entered the elevator together, and Raymond still kept his eyes on her, "What happened tonight?"
Melinda didn't want to get into too much detail. She brushed her long hair and said, "Nothing, I was just unlucky and got set up."
Raymond could see she didn't want to talk much, and he felt a bit angry.
He grabbed her wrist and questioned again, "Melinda, why won't you tell me?"
However, Melinda didn't want to reveal that Sam's biological father was a despicable
man.
She raised her eyes, her clear gaze showing a calmness, and looked directly at Raymond, "Don't ask, I don't want to say." Her voice was not loud, but it carried a firmness that seemed unshakable.
Raymond looked at her, a hint of confusion and dissatisfaction in his eyes, but he was helpless.
He vowed to find out who made Melinda so hateful and seek justice.
When the elevator reached the third floor, Melinda broke free from Raymond's arm and walked towards the security room.
At this moment, several men in the security room were making a big fuss, demanding lawyers and angrily pushing the two security guards.
However, when they saw Melinda, their faces changed, and they looked away in shame.
A strong killing intent surged in Melinda's heart. She really wanted to kill those disgusting thugs.
But what made her even angrier was that the mastermind behind all this was that bastard.
She took a deep breath and said to the security guard through gritted teeth, "Let them go, I won't pursue it."
Everyone present was stunned.
However, at that moment, a long leg suddenly kicked one of the old men in the waist, causing him to lose balance and fall heavily to the ground, eating a mouthful of dust. Immediately, a foot mercilessly stepped on his back, preventing him from getting up. "Ah, it hurts!" the man screamed.

"Who said you could leave?" Raymond's voice was cold and authoritative, exuding an undeniable dominance.
Melinda turned to look at Raymond, thinking of that bastard's threat, her heart tightened.
She walked up to Raymond, trying to stay calm, and said, "Let him go."
Raymond's face was extremely ugly, his gaze like a knife, staring at Melinda, "Melinda,
do you know what would have happened if I hadn't come?"
Melinda understood, but she wanted to protect Sam more. She couldn't let that bastard reappear in Sam's world and disturb his peaceful life.
These thugs were just pawns; she couldn't let that bastard succeed.
"Raymond, I make my own decisions on this matter," Melinda said firmly.
With that, she pushed Raymond's leg away, allowing the man to escape in embarrassment.
Watching the thugs flee, Melinda breathed a sigh of relief.
She turned to Raymond and said, "Let's go back."
However, Raymond didn't move. He looked at Melinda with a deep, penetrating gaze,
as if trying to see through her.
Just as Melinda was about to leave, he tightly held her hand, and she felt his anger, her heart tightening.
When the elevator door opened, they walked in, and Raymond pressed her against the elevator wall. Their faces were very close, only a palm's distance apart. She could clearly feel his raging anger.
"Raymond, what are you doing?" Melinda warned, her eyes wide.
Raymond's gaze was deep and intense. He gritted his teeth and said, "Melinda, if you need a man, I can satisfy you."
Melinda's mind buzzed. What was Raymond talking about?
At that moment, the elevator door suddenly opened, and a few stunned guests stood outside, looking at the intimate pair inside the elevator, momentarily forgetting to react.

She decided not to argue with him anymore, after all, he saved her tonight.
She planned to hail a cab home, but there were no cabs at the hotel entrance. Just as
she was about to walk to the street to hail a cab, Raymond's voice sounded behind her, "I'll take you home."
"No need to trouble you," Melinda replied without looking back.
"What? Am I so untrustworthy?" Raymond's voice carried a hint of annoyance.
He walked up to her, grabbed her wrist, and headed towards his car.
Raymond opened the passenger door and pushed her in. She sat in the car, her legs
still weak from the night's ordeal.
She quickly glanced at her phone; the man hadn't replied to her message.
She silently prayed, hoping that man would disappear from her world completely.
"Thank you," she turned to Raymond in the driver's seat, grateful.
Raymond turned his head, his deep gaze fixed on her, "How do you plan to thank me?"
Melinda bit her lip slightly, "I'll treat you to dinner."
"You owe me several dinners already," Raymond's tone revealed his dissatisfaction. Melinda paused and asked, "Then how do you want me to repay you?"
Raymond looked at her frightened appearance, his heart softening, "Forget it, just dinner."
Melinda quickly nodded, "Okay."
Raymond brought up the earlier incident again, "Why did you let those people go instead of handing them over to the police?"
Melinda made up a reason, "I was actually tricked into the hotel. I don't know those people."
"Who tricked you?" Raymond pressed.
