Chapter 95: Revealing the True Face

Dad, Stay Away from My Mom

She knew this was a globally limited edition watch, with only a few available in the

country. Clearly, Celestia came from a jaw-droppingly wealthy background. Her reason for joining the company had to be more than just competition.

Suddenly, a commotion erupted at the entrance.

Raymond had arrived! His presence instantly electrified the atmosphere!

Everyone stood up to welcome him, including Celestia and Melinda!

Their eyes were glued to Raymond, as if trying to see right through him!

It was a small world, as Melinda's seat was directly across from Celestia's.

"Ms. Sharp, you're here," Celestia greeted with a polite smile.

"Sorry I'm late," Melinda nodded slightly to everyone, apologizing. The overhead lights cast a golden halo around her.

She casually brushed her long hair back, exuding effortless charm.

For a moment, everyone was mesmerized by her beauty.

Despite being the one left out tonight, Melinda's beauty was undoubtedly her greatest asset.

If she wanted, she could easily marry into a wealthy family with her looks.

Celestia felt a strong sense of crisis as she looked at Melinda.

She had always thought she was the center of attention tonight, but Melinda's presence threatened that.

She knew that if Melinda stayed, her own presence would be significantly diminished, which was a huge disadvantage for her plans tonight.

"I need to use the restroom," Melinda said to Delilah, then got up and headed towards the restroom.

Seeing this, Celestia followed her.

Melinda was washing her hands at the sink when Celestia's reflection appeared in the mirror.

She paused, looking at Celestia in the mirror.

Celestia adjusted her long hair, revealing the luxury watch on her wrist.

"Ms. Sharp, just a friendly tip, you might want to leave the welcome party tonight," Celestia said, her red lips parting slightly.

Melinda's hand-washing paused. She looked at Celestia through the mirror.

Their eyes met in the mirror, and the atmosphere suddenly became tense.

Melinda sensed Celestia's hostility and narrowed her eyes. "What do you mean by that, Ms. Banks?"

Celestia crossed her arms and turned to face her, her gaze sharp. "Don't you get it? Tonight, Mr. Thomas and I will have many loving moments. I'm afraid it will be too much for you to handle."

To drive Melinda away, Celestia didn't hesitate to show her true colors.

She knew Melinda's beauty was a huge threat to her tonight.

Melinda was stunned for a few seconds, realizing that this seemingly innocent girl had another side.

She elegantly fixed her hair in the mirror, planning to leave this place of trouble. However, Celestia wasn't ready to let her go. She suddenly grabbed Melinda's wrist, her gaze warning.

"Melinda, I hope you leave and don't disturb me and Raymond."

This was a clear threat.

Melinda blinked and forcefully freed her wrist. "Don't worry, I won't disturb you." Her voice was firm and resolute.

Celestia's dissatisfaction grew, and she mocked, "Raymond only has eyes for me now. Don't embarrass yourself in front of everyone."

Her malice was fully exposed.

But Melinda wasn't defeated by her mockery. She smirked, "Ms. Banks, are you that insecure? Afraid I'll steal Raymond?" This made Celestia realize Melinda wasn't easy to deal with.

The tension between them grew...

Just then, footsteps were heard outside the restroom. Someone was coming in.

Both women composed themselves. Celestia shot Melinda a warning look before leaving.

Melinda took a deep breath and left the restroom as well.

She knew tonight's welcome party wouldn't be peaceful, but she was ready for any challenge...

Celestia bit her lip in frustration. She hadn't expected Melinda to be such a tough opponent.

Melinda returned to her seat, trying to act nonchalant.

Delilah whispered, "I just got a call. Mr. Thomas said we should start eating." Melinda

was slightly taken aback. Was Raymond not planning to show up?

Soon after, Celestia also returned to her seat. Their eyes met, and the tension was palpable.

Since Celestia had already revealed her true intentions, she no longer pretended to be polite to Melinda.

Melinda wondered if Raymond knew about Celestia's hidden side. But that wasn't her concern. Whoever he chose to marry was his own decision.

The dishes were served one by one. Delilah stood up and raised her glass. "Mr. Thomas isn't here yet, so on behalf of the lab, I welcome Celestia. Cheers." Melinda raised her glass, her eyes meeting Celestia's.

Celestia glanced at Melinda, then picked up her phone and called Raymond.

As soon as the call connected, she spoke in a sweet voice, "Raymond, why aren't you here yet? We're all waiting for you."

Melinda, sitting opposite her, heard her words and reached for her wine glass, taking a few sips in frustration.

"Don't drink too much," Delilah whispered in her ear.

Melinda realized she had already drunk half a glass of red wine and gave Delilah a grateful look.

Ten minutes later, the server's voice came from the door, "Welcome." Everyone looked

up to see Raymond, dressed in a tailored white shirt and black pants, walking in gracefully.

His presence silenced the entire room.

"Sorry to keep you waiting!" He scanned the room and saw that the only empty seat was next to Celestia. Without hesitation, he walked over and sat down.

When he looked up and saw Melinda across from him, a flicker of surprise crossed his deep eyes.

Tonight, she was stunningly beautiful, exuding an irresistible charm.

Had Melinda dressed up on purpose? A hint of a smile appeared in Raymond's eyes, as

if he had seen through her intentions.

"Raymond, you're late. You should have a drink," Celestia immediately handed him a glass of red wine, resting her chin on her hand and smiling sweetly.

Raymond took the glass and drank it elegantly.

The light reflected off the diamond cufflinks on his shirt, making him look even more distinguished.

Melinda half-closed her eyes, feeling frustrated as she sipped her champagne. Everyone was watching Raymond drink, but she just wanted to drink quietly by herself.

Celestia, resting her chin on her hand, looked at Raymond with eyes full of love. To Melinda, it was all so glaring.

Unknowingly, Melinda had already drunk several glasses of wine.

She felt dizzy, but her hand didn't stop.

Noticing her condition, Delilah asked with concern, "Melinda, are you okay? Why are

you drinking so much?"

Melinda shook her head slightly, indicating she was fine.

But inside, she felt bitter and helpless.

She just wanted to drink and forget the pain.

"Raymond, try this," Celestia said softly, placing a dish in front of him.

Raymond frowned slightly and said in a low voice, "I'll do it myself."

Celestia's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly withdrew her hand, not daring to make any more moves.
