Betrayal At the Altar by Dolores Delia
Betrayal At The Altar By Dolores Delia Chapter 123 âItâs a deal!â Rachel Grey smiled while looking at him.
David Jones looked at her smiling face and could not help but bend down gradually.
Rachel leaned back intuitively, her almondâshaped eyes flashing with confusion.
The cool woody fragrance gradually enveloped her.
He stared at the woman in front of him intently. Then their lips locked. His thin lips. parted slightly. âYes.â
Davidâs voice was low and hoarse, making Rachel feel as if she was intoxicated.
Rachelâs heart raced. Her fingertips curled up slightly as she cleared her throat. âCan you stay away from me?â
At such a close distance, she could not help but feel nervous because she didnât know when the other party would kiss her.
âWe are in a romantic relationship, and we will get more intimate in the future, so you have to learn to get used to it in advance.â
As David spoke, his fiery gaze landed on Rachelâs moist lips. âCan I kiss you?â
Rachelâs face instantly flushed with embarrassment. âYou didnât ask when you kissed me earlier...â
âSo youâre pretending to be gentlemanly now?â Rachel thought.
âSo youâre not against me kissing you.â
Rachel did not know how she should reply.
There was no way to continue this conversation.
At this moment, there was a knock on the office door.
-Rachel pushed David away at once and sat up straight. âYou may enter.â
Linda entered the room, immediately noticing David.
Lindaâs brows furrowed almost imperceptibly.
That was weird.
Linda hadnât seen this person earlier. How did he get in?
Linda gathered her thoughts and walked up to Rachel. âMs. Grey, this is the information you requested.â
Rachel nodded slightly. When Rachel looked up, she realized that Linda was staring at David.
There was no admiration in Lindaâs eyes. She only observed David intently as if trying to tell if David was someone who would hurt Rachel.
David did not care about Lindaâs judgemental stare at all. He took a glance at the furnishings of Rachelâs office.

David held the apartment key card between his fingers It was the key card that her uncleâs assistant had sent earlier. âWhatâs this?â
Rachel looked at the card and reached for it, putting it in her bag casually. âMy uncle arranged an apartment for me.â
âYou want to move out and live on your own?â An imperceptible glint flashed across Davidâs eyes.
Rachel flipped through the documents in her hand and explained patiently, âMy maternal grandfatherâs place is too far from the company. Itâs quite inconvenient traveling to and fro work.â
David nodded thoughtfully and blurted out, âWhy donât you just stay at my place?â
Rachel looked up at David in disbelief.
âWeâre officially a couple. There is nothing wrong about us living under the same roof,â David Jones said matterâofâfactly. âWe can go to work together in the future. More importantly, itâs easier for us to spend time together.â
âI think there is a need for us to maintain some distance at this point of our relationship.â âAre you not going to take complete responsibility for me?â David looked at her bitterly. Rachel chuckled. âI donât think I took advantage of you.â
âYouâve already kissed and hugged me. How else do you want to take advantage of me?â Davidâs lips curled into a faint suggestive smile. âYou can do whatever you want tonight if you want to.â
As he spoke, he wrapped his palm around Rachelâs soft and small hand, fiddling around with it.
âHow about moving out and coming to stay at my place?â
