Chapter 10
Love’s Cunning Ruse ( Mr.Kieran And Julie )
Chapter 10
Julie admitted, she only said that to get him angry. After three years of marriage, she knew too well of his wild side on bed.
She figured heâd get mad because no man can stomach having his sexual prowess be questioned. But Kieran just coolly stood up and started slowly walking towards her.
Julie was backing up, backing up, until finally her back was against the cold door. That was when he stopped. Heâs leaning against the door, looking down at her soft skin.
With him trapping her in his arms, Julieâs got nowhere to run. She just turned her face away, pretending not to see. But his scent, faint but familiar, was something Julieâs known since she was a kid.
He was pinching her skinny chin, forcing her to look at him. The pinch was hurt, a proof that heâs not showing her any mercy.
Julie was forced to stare back at him with a determined look. Kieran slowly leaned down, getting closer to her, their noses almost touching, close enough that you couldnât slide a piece of paper between them. His cold lips parted slightly, âDidnât know you still remember my stamina on bed.â
His breath was warm on her nose. Julie pretty much knew what heâs about to say next, so she quickly retorted, âIâve forgotten. Iâve got amnesia and canât remember a thing, so donât bother trying to jog my memory.â
Kieran was looking down at her, smirking. When he smiled, his eyes seemed deep and full of charm, the corners of his eyes curving up, very attractive. Thatâs how Julie fell for him in the first half of her life.
Kieran was not surprised by Julieâs rejection. He emotionlessly let her go, which was felt a bit off to Julie.
She looked up, surprised, at the guy who was keeping his distance. Julie had no clue what her face looks like right now. She saw him turn around, took out a stack of cash from his wallet on the bedside table, and handed it to her: âYou can leave now.â
Was he pitying her? Or mocking her? Julie couldnât tell it anymore. Kieranâs cold voice echoed in the room, âDonât forget youâre a top law student. Next time when we meet, donât let yourself be so pathetic.â
Should she throw the money in his face and say something like, âJust because youâre rich doesnât mean you are cocky. You think you can trample over peopleâs dignity just because youâre rich?â But the truth was, being rich was something. At least it could save Sansaâs life.
Quietly and calmly, she held the stack of cash, neatly tucked it into her bag, and then dumped out all the condoms from her bag, a smile on her face, âHereâs your purchase, thanks for the generous tip,
goodbye.â
With that, Julie made a deep bow to Kieran.
Goodbye?
Kieran got a cunning smile on his face as he watched her leaving, âFind a more dignified job! If you canât, I can help you out. A pathetic woman wonât get a manâs sympathy, or catch his eyes. It just makes me think youâve had hard time since you left me.â
Julie got a sarcastic smile on her face. From what he was saying, it sounded like she had some good time when she was with him. Wasnât her life always full of difficulties and challenges?
Julie stopped and turned around, with a big smile on her face, like sheâs wearing a perfect mask, âActually, Iâm doing great. I donât need to deal with the pressure of being a rich manâs wife, learning traditional moral codes, or getting ready to fend off those trying to ruin my marriage.â
After saying that, she didnât wait for his reaction, just turned around and walked away. When she got to the door, she suddenly stopped, like she had remembered something. She smiled at the guy behind her, âOh, right! Mr. Hernandez, I might look a bit pathetic, but it didnât affect your dignity, so you donât need to worry.â
