Chapter 241
Love’s Cunning Ruse ( Mr.Kieran And Julie )
Chapter 241
Kyle tightly held onto Julieâs waist, keeping her from falling flat on her face, while she instinctively clung to his arm.
Kieran attempted to grab Julie, but his hand stopped mid-air. Snowflakes fell on his coat, slowly melting away.
Snapping out of it, Julie quickly got up.
Kyle silently released Julieâs waist, lowered his head and smiled politely at her, âWhy are you hopping around like a kid without looking where youâre going?â After speaking, he turned to Kieran, as if he just noticed him, made a slight adjustment to his glasses, âAh, Mr. Hernandez, youâre here too, what a coincidence.â âIndeed.â Kieran looked at Kyle, then at Lisa standing next to him, turned his head, pulled Julie into his arms, lightly touched her nose, âYou should thank Kyleâ He was referring to Kyle helping Julie just now, Julie immediately understood, looked at Kyle and nodded with a smile, âThank you, Kyle.â
âSe more careful when you walk.â he said with a smile, the kind that youâd see from an elder towards a junior.
Julie nodded.
A voice came from the side, âMr. Kyle, we should get going.â
âMr. Kyle, youâve got something to do?â Kieran asked.
Their gaze met, making Julie a little nervous.
Kyle nodded, âIâve got some work stuff, Iâll head out first, weâll catch up over a meal when weâre free.â âSure.â Kieran agreed.
Lisa pointed down the road, Kyle smiled at Julie, then turned and walked in the direction Lisa pointed.
Once Kyle was out of sight, Julie suddenly grabbed Kieranâs hand, clenching it, wanting to catch up with Kyle.
Lisa suddenly turned around, Julie who was ready to tail Kyle had to awkwardly turn her head, resulting in her bumping into Kieranâs chest, leaving her a little dazed. Kieran couldnât help but laugh, âWhy donât you let Julien teach you some tricks?â
Embarrassed by her own actions, Julie rubbed her head and lowered it.
âDid they leave?â Julie, with her back towards Kyle, asked Kieran.
Kieran nodded, and asked, âDo you still want ice cream?â
She looked at the ice cream in his hand, although it was no longer as appealing, it hadnât completely melted. She took the vanilla ice cream, took a bite, and said, âI feel like Kyle⦠heâs changed, changed a lot.â
âLike what?â he asked.
She thought for a moment, then said, âKyle used to pamper Sansa a lot, the way he looked at Sansa was like⦠she was his whole world, everyone else seemed to be invisible to him. I didnât speak much with him before. But I know he really liked Sansa.â
Before Julieâs family went bankrupt, Sansa was the center of attention, a true rich girl. She was the successor cultivated by her mother, showing excellence in all aspects.
In Julieâs memory, Kyle was also incredibly outstanding.
She looked at Kieran and said, âBut now, Kyleâs like a puzzle⦠sometimes he seems to have feelings for Sansa, but sometimes it looks like he doesnât care about her at all. Even the way he speaks has become more thoughtful.â
âPeople change. Kieran said, âWhatâs important is why they change.â
âThe other day when Kyle was talking to Sansa in the ICU, I donât know what they talked about, but Iâm sure Sansaâs rising blood pressure and accelerated heart rate had something to do with him. I want to know if thereâs any dispute between them, or if Kyle is the key to wake up Sansa.â Julie was thinking.
Kieran suddenly stretched his hand out, lightly grabbing Julieâs shoulder, he looked deeply into her pale, frozen face, âIâll do everything I can to save Sansa.â She trusted him.
The distance between the two was very close, she kept looking up at his face. Snowflakes gently fell between them.
After a moment, she finally took a step back and said, âI should stick to wearing heels in the future, that way I can ease my chronic neck pain.â
âI guess it can also ease my chronic lumbar disc herniation.â he said.
Julie laughed, indeed, he was bending over when he grabbed her shoulder.
She said seriously, âIf I knew youâd grow this tall, I wouldnât have chased after you!â
âIf I knew you wouldnât chase me anymore, I definitely wouldnât have grown this tall.â
âYouâre always right.â As soon as Julie finished speaking, she was suddenly bumped into by someone.
Julie accidentally crashed into Kieranâs chest.
This wouldnât have been an issue, but Julie happened to be holding an ice cream cone in her hand. As a result, the ice cream got squashed between the two of them, getting all over their clothes.
The white cream, like a blooming white flower, was particularly noticeable on his black coat.
âDamn, this coat mustâve cost a fortune, right?â Seeing the courier who hit her and then rushed away, Julie pulled at his coat, said with a heartache.
Kieran looked at the anxious and distressed little woman, teased her, âHmm, itâs worth ten of you.â
âWhat?â Her eyes widened, she tipped her toes to check the brand of his coat, âHow much is ten of me?â
He grabbed her hand, pulled her in front of him, âI was joking, youâre priceless, I donât care if this coat gets dirty or torn, but I canât stand to see you get hurt, not even a bit.â
âYou really think Iâm a dumb bunny, believing whatever you say?â She arrogantly said to him, then turned and walked towards the shopping mall.
Inside a high-end private club.
Lisa led Kyle to a designated private room.
In the private room, a white-haired man sat on a sofa, wearing silver half-rimmed glasses. As soon as he saw Kyle entering the room, he immediately stood up.
âProfessor Fred, rest assured, as long as you do as I asked, I wonât harm Emily.â Kyle removed his gold-rimmed glasses and sat next to Fred.
Fred stood up and said, âLet my daughter go first, I promise you, I will do everything I can to treat Ms. Abraham, I wonât go back on my word!â
âDo everything you can to treat her?â Kyle pointed, shaking his head, his eyes flashing coldly, âNo, I think you might have misunderstood me, Professor Fred.â
âSo you dragged me all the way here just to have me work my ass off treating Ms. Abraham?â The Professor looked somewhat puzzled, turning his gaze to Kyle, âThen what was the point of threatening me to drag my butt here?â
Kyle smiled and waved at Fred. Then Fred slowly approached Kyleâ¦â¦
Noblewood Retreat.
Julie and Kieranâs car parked outside with a harsh piano sound blaring from inside.
Julie, holding grocery bags, looked at Kieran in surprise, âDidnât know we have a piano?â
Kieran took the bags from her, wrapping his arm around her, âYeah, we do. We even have a piano room.â
âWe have a piano room?â Julie was even more shocked. She grabbed Kieranâs hand and walked towards the room, âWhoever is making that sound must be a genius!â
In realityâ¦
It was Payne.
When Kieran and Julie entered the piano room, Payne was right there at the piano bench, clad in a hoodie, lost in his own world, banging the keys with no particular order.
Ivan was covering his ears, shouting at Payne, âPayne, Iâll pay you if you stop playing!â
Kieran coughed twice, making Payne stop immediately. He turned his gaze towards Kieran, pointing at Ivan, âHeâs the one who opened the door, not me!â
âKerry, let me tell you, Payne is also responsible.â
Payne dragged Ivan closer, âYouâre so young, do you even know what accomplice means?â
Kieran pointed at Payne, âExplain yourself.â
Payne explained that the room has always been locked. Ivan knew about the piano room since he was a kid, but he didnât know why Kieran locked it. Ivan knew Payne was good at picking locks, so he instigated Payne to unlock it. Unexpectedly, there was nothing in the room but a piano and sheet music.
Kieran looked at Payne hiding behind Ivan, âLook at what you did to my sonâs ears!â
âKieran, donât forget your son is also to blame.â
âSo you think itâs okay to break into my house just because my son told you to?â
âIt was your son who told me toâ¦
âWhat?â
âIâm sorryâ¦â Payne immediately apologized and quickly changed the subject, âAnyway, why did you call me here?â
âWait a little bit, I have something to discuss with you. Wait outside for my instructions,â Kieran said.
Payne obediently left.
Seeing that he might be the next one Kerry will deal with, Ivan smartly went up to Julie, hugging her leg tightly, âMom, do you know how to play the piano?â
His sweet voice warmed Julieâs heart, but she still kept her cool. She squatted down and said, âItâs wrong to make others pick locks, okay?â
âMom, Iâm sorry, I like you.â
*Just because you like me, you can let others pick locks? I also like your mom, so can I have someone break into your diary cabinet tomorrow, okay?â Kieran patted Ivanâs head.
Sometimes, to educate a smart kid, you need a direct approach. Seeing how Ivan and his dad interact, Julie felt it made sense.
He lowered his head obediently, âKerry, Iâm sorry, Iâll change. I like you too.â
âGo to the study and reflect on your actions. Write down where you went wrong and how you can improve in the future. Write it all down, okay?â Kieran instructed. Ivan looked helpless, âKerry, this is child abuse. I can hardly write anything and youâre making me write all this stuff. Itâs inhumane!â
âThen have Payne teach you,â he suggested.
What a brilliant idea.
Julie watched their son, head hanging and footsteps heavy. She looked at Kieran and chuckled, âAre you punishing Payne or our son?â
