Chapter 30
Love’s Cunning Ruse ( Mr.Kieran And Julie )
Chapter 30
Kieran was being a total jerk, just as expected.
Julie tried to pull away from Kieranâs grip on her chin but couldnât fight against his strength. So she gave up.
She, instead, stared at him with bright eyes and a sarcastic smile, âSo, tell me, how much is all this stuff you taught me worth?â
He released her chin, sat down, and stared right into Julieâs eyes, âHow much do you have?â
âI lost my only job and have no income. Arenât I looking for a new beau? If I find one, it depends on how much heâs willing to spend on me. Right now, itâs your fault I canât get my hands on any money because youâve messed up my plansâ
Julie was like a little wildcat with claws, who used to be docile towards Kieran, but now she was more like a prickly hedgehog, ready to spike at anyone
who came near
Kieran followed her gaze, then suddenly turned to look at Julie. âNeed help finding a job?â
She didnât believe he would be that kind.
In Kieranâs mind, the proud Julie would refuse him arrogantly.
But, to his surprise, a small smile spread across her face. She looked at him gently and said, âSure! If Mr. Hernandez wants to do a good deed, find me a highâpaying job that doesnât require much work. Iâd be so very grateful!â
Pride was something Julie used to have. But after all the years of hardship, she realized that only those who were alive had the privilege to talk about pride.
So, when she said this, there was little hesitation in her voice.
Kieran turned back, glaring at Julie, slowly echoing her words, âHigh pay, minimal workâ¦â
âWould you like to be my bedmate?â He asked.
Julie looked at Kieran, laughed, and gave him a sound slap on the face.
The crisp sound sent chills down Karlâs spine, who was sitting in the passenger seat.
âI thought you were just coldâhearted, but youâre also a jerk.â Julie stared at Kieran, âThis slap is overdue; I should have given you this five years ago.â
With that, Julie opened the car door and slammed it shut.
But as she turned around, her eyes reddened.
She thought that slapping Kieran would make her feel better. But why did it feel like there was a hole in her heart that was causing all sorts of
discomfort?
Inside the car, Kieran, who just got slapped, suddenly laughed.
Karl was at a loss for words
Ms. Abrahamâs slap was so powerful that it seemed to have knocked Mr. Hernandez silly.
Sitting in the passenger seat, Karl coughed and gathered his courage to tell Kieran, âMr. Hernandez, the young masterâs teacher called; they asked you to come to school.â
âHmm.â Kieran replied indifferently.
In the principals office at Ocean Breeze International Kindergarten, a little boy, about five or six, was sitting in the principalâs seat, looking all important. He was wearing a white shirt paired with a black vest, his feet were crossed, and he was humming an unknown nursery rhyme.
The boyâs uniform made him look quite dashing.
As soon as Kieran pushed open the door to the principalâs office, he saw the little boy clumsily spinning around in the office chair. Then the boy turned to Kieran with a smile, showing off his cute little canines, saying, âKerry, youâre finally here!â
