Chapter 34
Love’s Cunning Ruse ( Mr.Kieran And Julie )
Chapter 34
Iâm just after the dough, and Mr. Sanches happens to be rolling in it. Sounds like a match made in heaven to meâ Julie quipped, her voice dripping with elegance and poise.
Elliot had seriously overestimated her. She was definitely there to stir up trouble.
Adeline, who was painting her nails, looked up with a mischievous smile. She pointed at Julie with her nail polish brush, then at her brother. âShe and my brother make a great pair Relax, mom Theyâre into each other. Why are you trying to stick your nose in? Right, Elliot? I support you. So what if sheâs been married before? That just means sheâs got experienceâ
Victoria shot Adeline a glare, âShut your trap!*
Before Victoriaâs words had even faded, Raymonâs booming voice filled the room. âLetâs cut to the chase. Iâm not endorsing this marriage. If you have any conditions, Ms. Abraham, spit them outâ
Julie turned towards Raymon with a grin, âThat depends on how much you think Elliot is worthâ
Raymon rapped his cane on the floor, his gaze was icy as he said. âMs. Abraham; know your limits. You canât push your luck too far!â
Elliot, realizing Julie was there to make waves, retorted, âAnd how much am I worth to you?â
If it werenât for Raymon threatening to stop Julie from finding a job, he wouldnât have brought her here so rashly
Victoria snorted at Julie, âMs. Abraham, weâll wire you 20K. I guess thatâs what you are worth. Please stop hounding Elliot.â
Julie wanted to accept but stuck to her guns. She gave Victoria a sarcastic look, âDidnât know your family inherited the habit of throwing money at problems. But you undervalue your son. In my eyes, heâs worth more than 20 grand. Who I bother is my business. If youâre so capable, keep Elliot tied up
at home.â
With that, Julie stood up, straightened her outfit, and walked out with grace.
Elliot tried to follow but was stopped by Raymonâs sharp rebuke. Bodyguards immediately surrounded Elliot, preventing him from chasing after Julie.
This was Julieâs real goal She knew Elliot was thickâskinned and wouldnât give up no matter what she said. So, why not infuriate Raymon and get Elliot grounded once and for all.
As Julie stepped out of the Sanches Mansion, she realized a problem. The mansion was in the middle of nowhere, and there was not a cab in sight, let alone a soul. How was she supposed to leave?
Just as she was at her witâs end, Adeline appeared out of nowhere.
Before Julie could react, Adeline tossed her a set of car keys.
Adeline pointed at a red Ferrari. âTake it. Consider it a gift for my future sisterâinâlaw. If youâre not planning to become one, give me your address. Iâll pick it up when I have time. You seem smart. You wouldnât really plan to hoof it, would you?â
Julie looked at Adeline, shook the keys in resignation, gave her home address, and drove off in the red Ferrari.
Julie hadnât driven in a while, and her driving skills werenât the best. But after a bumpy ride, she was almost home.
What she didnât expect was that just a few hundred meters from home, she would crash someoneâs car.
