Chapter 36
Love’s Cunning Ruse ( Mr.Kieran And Julie )
Chapter 36
âKieran, hold your horses! What are you up to?â Julie turned her bead to glance at Karl, then went back to the hand Kieran was gripping tightly, speaking
angrily.
Even though Kieran was tipsy and his steps wobbly, he was steering her steadily towards her home.
She thought he would remain aloof and ignore her, but it wasnât until they reached her front door that he said, âI need a shower, open up.â
âWhy donât you go to your own place for a shower? What on earth brings you here?â Julie snapped, giving Kieran a kick, and then headed towards Karl.
Sheâd never seen Kieran drunk before! He was a real handful when he was!
No sooner had Julie turned around to leave than Kieran yanked her back.
She was forced to lean against the iron gate, and the pain made her wince.
She looked up at the man pressing against her with a steely gaze, only to have Kieran rudely snatch her bag away.
âKieran, what do you think youâre doing? Give it back!â Julie reached for her bag, but Kieran easily swung it over his head.
Kieran was just too tall. Julie, even on her tiptoes, couldnât get her bag back and ended up giving up.
It was only after Kieran couldnât find the key that he disdainfully tossed the bag back to Julie.
Just when Julie thought Kieran was giving up, he suddenly pressed her against the wall.
He bent slightly, making a nice arc.
The man, full of masculine allure, was suddenly close to Julie.
Julie instinctively turned her face away as Kieranâs cool lips brushed against her soft skin, then paused at her ear.
âJoyce, whereâs the key?â His deep voice resounded next to Julieâs ear, sending shivers down her spine..
As he spoke, his lips brushed against her earlobe, turning her ears a shade of crimson.
Julie put her hands between them, frowned, and said, âLet go. The keyâs not in my bag!â
âThen where is it?â Kieranâs hand somehow found its way to her waist, then slipped under her top.
His rough fingertips traced her stomach, making her tremble.
Her skin had goosebumps. Julie grabbed Kieranâs hand and finally relented, âLet go; Iâll open the door for you; isnât that enough?â
After Julie finally agreed, a satisfied smirk appeared on Kieranâs face. He took his hand off her waist and even took the time to straighten her top, looking anything but drunk.
Julie had to lift her carpet to retrieve the key.
She wasnât going to make it easy; she was ready to make a run for it the moment she got the key, but Kieran wrapped his long arm around her waist, hoisted her up, and spun her around, forcing her to face the front door.
Kieran, from behind her, took her hand with the key and shoved it in the keyhole.
The door clicked open..
Kieran released Julieâs hand and was about to step inside when Julie sprang into action, blocking the doorway with both arms outstretched, making a lastâditch effort.
He looked down at her, gave her a glance, and then he slipped his hands under her arms, hoisted her up like a barbell, carried her inside, kicked the door shut with his long leg, and then headed straight towards Julieâs bathroom.
