Chapter 95
Love’s Cunning Ruse ( Mr.Kieran And Julie )
Chapter 95
After spending so many days together, an indescribable bond had formed between Julie and Ivan Julieâs heart just melted when Ivan hugged her so innocently. She squatted down, patted him on the head, and said. âYouâre so adorable, how could anyone not want you?â
Julie clearly saw Ivan run out from Kieranâs villa, so she held his hand, âYour dad said Gilded Gate Residences is under renovation, so he asked me to bring you to Noblewood Retreat for a while. Can you show me the way?â
But Ivan looked toward Kieran as if waiting for him to speak.
Kieran just looked at Julie, âWhy donât you stay here with Ivan for a while?â
After hearing this, Ivan nodded frantically, âYeah, yeah! Dad said we should stay here!â
Wasnât that what his dad just said? He wasnât lying.
Julie held his hand tight, looking at Kieran, and asked, âWhy does his dad want us to stay here?â
Kieran glanced at the sky and said, âItâs about to rain. You can either stand here in the rain while Ivan struggles to explain, or you can come in and Iâll tell you.â
Julie looked up at the sky. She didnât trust Kieran completely so she hesitated.
But when a flash of lightning suddenly lit up the sky, Julie pulled Ivan and ran towards Kieranâs villa.
She had always been fearless, but she was scared of thunder. Whenever she saw lightning flash across the sky, she felt like it was going to hit her any second, which always scared her.
Kieran calmly watched Julie take Ivan into the room, then smiled slightly and followed them in.
Julie led Ivan through the door. They stood awkwardly on the doormat, like kids whoâd done something wrong, waiting for Kieran to speak.
Kieran said, âI donât like talking at the doorâ Then, he turned and walked over to a dark grey linen sofa.
âMama Julie, Kerryâs a nice guy. He wonât hurt us. Shall we shall we go sit?â Ivan tugged at Julieâs sleeve, trying to mitigate the awkward atmosphere.
Julie had no choice but to follow him.
After Ivan had Julie seated on the sofa, he winked at Kieran Whether Mama Julie could stay tonight all depended on Kieranâs performance
Julie looked at Kieran and asked, âWhat did you mean by what you said at the door?â
Ivanâs dad has returned to Noblewood Retreat with his ex-wife. They plan to stay there for a while Gilded Gate Residences is being renovated, so I hope you can stay here with Ivan for a while. Once the renovation is done, you can bring him back.â Kieran calmly explained.
Ivanâs eyes lit up as he listened. Kieran was his father, so his father did indeed return to Noblewood Retreat with his ex-wife. This was the truth, so Kieran -wasnât lying. Kerry was so smart! Heâd never fight him again, or heâd be doomed!
With this understanding, Ivan suddenly became very obedient; he even stood up straight.
Julie frowned at Kieran, âSo you mean, Mr. Kennedy is living with his ex-wife, and he wants me to stay here with his child?â
âDonât believe me? You can ask him yourself.â After saying this, Kieran stood up, âThe first guest room near the stairs on the second floor is yours. Ivan is In the bedroom on the left on the third floor.â
With that, Kieran went upstairs.
Behind him, Ivan shouted, âThank you, Kerry!â
Julie took out her phone, opened WhatsApp, and sent a message to J Kennedy Mr. Kennedy, are you suggesting that Ivan and I stay at Mr. Hernandezâs house?â
On the second floor, Kieran was leaning over the balcony, watching Julie downstairs, and messing around with his phone.
After receiving Julieâs message, Kieran chuckled and replied, âYesâ
Thinking his answer was too simple, he added, âIt took a lot of work to convince my ex-wife to come back. I hope you understand.â
Julie had to accept this. After all, she was just a nanny, and Kieran had taken good care of her these past few days. He was just asking for a small favor She couldnt refuse
So she replied, âOkay. Mr. Kennedyâ
Ivan ran to Kieran and tugged at his pants, âKerryâ¦â
Kieran glanced at the last message Julie sent, didnât reply, but squatted down in front of Ivan and asked, âWhatâs up?â
âThereâs thunder. Should I pretend to be really scared? Then Mama Julle con sleep with me.â
Your bed is only 1.3 meters long. It canât fit your Mama Julie. Kieran said as he picked up Ivan and headed to the third floor
Julle put down her phone and looked up just in time to see Kieran carrying Ivan to the third floor bedroom.
She shook her head helplessly and walked toward the guest room. It wasnât until she got there that she remembered that her luggage was still at Gilded
Gate Residences
Kieran had already left Ivan in the bedroom upstairs, and Julie had just come out of her room when she ran into Kieran.
âMake me a cup of coffee! Kieran said as he turned and headed for the study.
Julia was a bit lost. She was about to go upstairs and check on Ivan, then go back for her luggage, but Kieran suddenly wanted coffee.
Julie could only look at Kieranâs retreating figure and say, âSorry, Mr. Hernandez, Iâve got to go to Gilded Gate Residences to pick up my luggage. Youâll have to get your coffee fix from the butler.â
âWhat luggage? Didnât you leave all your stuff at your previous rental?â Kieran questioned.
Indeed, she didnât have much luggage, just a few newly bought clothes for changing The rest of her stuff was at the rental. Julie had hurt her foot before and was afraid to venture out to retrieve her things, so she bought some cheap clothes online while staying at Gilded Gate Residences.
Important stuff like her ID and passport were all in her bag. Her only luggage was a few ordinary clothes.
Kieran, who had clearly seen through Julie, turned back and stood at the doorway of the room next to hers, beckoning her, âCome here.â
Next door was Kieranâs bedroom, which Julie was well aware of.
She stood her ground.
Kieran leaned against the door frame, lazily saying, âCome here, or Ill come sweep you off your feet. Youâve got three seconds to decide. Three, two are you planning on making a run for it?â
At the count of two, Julie instinctively turned her back to Kieran and bolted.
Clearly, Kieran was trying to intimidate Julie, but instead of being intimidated, she was spurred to rebel.
Julie was darting upstairs, where Ivan was.
After hearing Kieranâs tone, she knew her only chance to avoid punishment was to get to Ivan.
But how could Julie possibly outrun Kieran? He caught up with her in three strides.
With a swift move, Kieran grabbed her arm, giving her a meaningful look, âNice. Youâve learned to fight back.â
Julie tried to shake off his grip, but his arm was like a vice, unyielding.
Whatâs wrong with her standing up for herself? Was she supposed to just sit back and take it? Just because she was on his turf didnât mean she was his prey!
âIvan is upstairs! Let go!â
âYouâve got legs, donât you? Once I let go, youâll run faster than a rabbit.â Kieran clearly had no intention of letting her go.
Julie weakly retorted, âRabbits⦠they hopâ¦â
âRabbits are herbivores Im not. Test me again, Julie!â
Who was provoking whom here? Julie chose to back down. She was well aware of the principle that discretion was the better part of valor. Knowing she couldnât take this man on, she tried to wriggle out of his grip, âLet go, it hurtsâ¦â
Iâve barely done anything, and youâre already crying out. Are you sure youâre not lying?â Kieran replied, bending down to scoop Julie into his arms while heading toward his room.
Julie wanted to cry for help but was afraid her voice would wake Ivan.
What a scene it would be if the child saw this!
Since she couldnât break free, Julie decided to just keep a straight face, allowing Kieran to carry her into his bedroom.
Only when they reached the door did Julie suddenly reach out to stop them using the door frame, blurting out, âI know rabbits are herbivores. butâ¦wolves, even though theyâre carnivores, they only mate from January to February. Get a grip: put me down first. Iâll apologize. Is an apology good?
