Chapter 21,Part2
Mob Protagonist ~ Mob in the Novel But There is a Problem
Chapter 21.2. An Undescribed Scene
-Masatoshiâs POV-
My brother was indeed a picture-perfect, dynamic man. He was a passionate man with a sense of justice, without thinking about anything complicated. He is the kind of man who I can perfectly describe as a man who rushes headlong with the hero. Thatâs because he is my, Masatoshiâs brother.
I never thought he would be able to meet my fatherâs expectations. And now I understood why I had not been forced out of my position as an heir apparent.
âWell, I knew Teijo would be suspicious and not accept our apology. I was just lucky if it worked out.â
My father didnât think it would go well. If I were in Teijoâs shoes, I would gladly accept the ruby.
âI still have a plan. This one is the real deal.â
âA plan?â
âYes. Iâll spread the word. The Teijo family has taken on and entrusted a rare recovery magician as an escort, yet they put her in danger. Since they are inadequate as guards, the Takanoâs daughter always keeps the magical jewelry given to her by Duke Aguni in her pocket.â
It was a vicious idea. It made sense for my father to give her the emerald. Iâm surprised and suddenly embarrassed that Iâm thinking of such a dreary idea as âSucking backâ at the protagonist.
But I quickly discarded the idea. I want to do the opposite and see the faces of the hero and heroine in despair. I shake my head to get rid of the feeling of shame from my memory, saying that I have thought a foolish thing.
I am a god. I know the story of The Night of Magic until the last episode, and I have read the novel book. I know the charactersâ personalities because I read the novel where they came from. I am a divine being. I can do whatever I want.
When I regain my composure, I turn my attention to the story with my father.
âCan you do something about that level of rumor?â
âOf course not. I donât think so.â
My father answers. I think that would be a waste of time, but I can read what my father thinks by the look on his face, and his father snickers.
âIâm teaming up with Count Takano family. Remember when I mentioned Count Takano when I was apologizing to you? Thatâs right. I expressed in? one word that I consider the young lady who is a recovery magician to be a member of the Count family.â
âHa, ha â¦â¦.â
I donât know whatâs wrong with that and gave a vague answer.
âWell, youâre only 9. Itâs not surprising if you donât know. Takano Miu is the daughter of Yoshiyuki, who gets thrown out of Count Takano family. The daughter of Yoshiyuki, who fell into commoner status, awakened as a recovery magician, so Count Takano family is in an uproar.â
âIs that so? Recovery magicians are indeed rare, but she is the daughter of a fallen commoner, isnât she?â
No longer able to comprehend what my father was saying, I repeated his words like a parrot.
âSince she fell into the commonerâs hands, the head of the Takano Countdom family was in a hurry to welcome her. But you know, I donât know what happened there, but the Teijo family took it from the side. The Teijo family is the only family that doesnât have a recovery magician. They must have wanted it by all means.â
Taking out a bottle of whiskey from the small chest by the limousine door, Enraku opens the lid and drinks directly from it. He swallows the whiskey very fast and wipes the whiskey dripping from his mouth with his hand.
âOf course, Count Takano protested. But that place has been on the decline lately. The companyâs idiotic heirâs sonâs business is full of losses. The family of the illegitimate son has a habit of spending lavishly, and his networking efforts are failing because heâs hated for his arrogant attitude. The protests of the countâs family, which has lost its power, wonât hurt the Teijo family.â
Whether he was getting excited or wanted to talk about his strategy, Enraku is in a good mood took another gulp of his whiskey and emptied it, setting it down roughly on the table.
âBut hey, what Count Takano is saying is ostensibly quite decent. He wants to get back together with his son, whom he had thrown away. He wants to live with his lovely granddaughter. It is a story that invites the compassion of a poor old man. But the Marquis of Teijo is interfering with that. Even the Marquis is too outrageous.â
âI see. â¦â¦ Youâre going to return them to nobility, arenât you? I donât think thereâs any good story about going from a commoner back to the life of a noble.â
Itâs a Cinderella story. I nod in agreement. That Cinderellaâs story befits that beautiful gray-haired girl.
With a sly look in his eyes, Enraku laughed at my intention.
âRight. So thatâs why I can help some duke a little bit to get back the poor recovery magician girl. Fortunately, as an apology, an edge we could also make. Not right away, but maybe in a few years we can successfully get the Count back, and maybe sheâll be engaged to our Dukedom.â
I looked at Enraku, who chuckled and could not hide my surprise that he was planning such a long-term plan to that extent.
This had never happened in the novel. The plot was hatched in the first half, and the protagonist exposed the plot and played an active role in the second half. It was a plot that lasted about a week. Compared to that, itâs roundabout, and cunning!
Even in the original story, Enraku had a big laugh with gahaha and helped the hero when he liked it, but I canât describe his feelings. From his behavior, I had assumed he was a bold and simple righteous planner.
But what if he was thinking of some conspiracy behind the scenes? What if he was using the main characterâs influence and power?
I had thought that the original work and Enraku were too different, but perhaps he was this kind of character.
Suddenly, I was horrified that the others might also be different from the original image. The heroines were simple-minded, but what if they only appeared like that but their true self different?? n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
âNo, that canât be â¦â¦ that canât be true.â
Masatoshi tried to convince himself that he was an all-knowing god, but the lump in his heart would not go away.
