“You really care about him!” Zachary’s tone sounded dangerous.

Charlotte thought, “That’s because Gordon cares about me too!”

But Charlotte didn’t say that out.

She only wanted to end the battle with Zachary as soon as possible. Charlotte knew the consequences wouldn’t be good if Zachary got irritated.

She looked back at Zachary and said, “And you care a lot about her.”

Charlotte meant Annie.

Zachary’s pupils suddenly shrank..

“I don’t know why you don’t want to divorce me. But there is one thing you need to know. Even if you don’t care about wasting so much time, your Annie won’t be so patient. She can’t wait to marry you!”

Charlotte sarcastically said Annie’s name through her gritted teeth.

“What did you do? Zachary agreed to drop the charges. And Allen said that he agreed to our terms and wanted to sign the contract right away.”

Charlotte was speechless.

She thought, “So, except for suing Gordon, Zachary also stopped Allen from cooperating with us.

Charlotte said, “I printed them myself.”

Gordes didn’t know what to say.

Charlotte also kept quiet.

They lapsed into silence again because of the funny news.

After quite a while, Gordon finally spoke. His tone was light, and he sounded amused. “Didn’t he find out that the papers were bogus?”

“No!”

Charlotte answered.

Zachary wouldn’t drop the charges if he had found out that the divorce papers were faked, and Allen wouldn’t leave Liene City right away.

So, the only explanation was that Zachary fell for Charlotte’s lie.

Gordon was always a steady and cool man.

But at that moment, he was so amused that he couldn’t help laughing.

“You can laugh out if you want to.” Charlotte could hear Gordon’s low laughter.

Gordon said, “I don’t want to laugh. I’m worried about you.”

Yes, Gordon was worried about Charlotte.

And it was reasonable.
