Chapter 436
Strict Wife Of The '70s Manages The Household
Liu Chunfang felt nothing but troubled. This could have been her husband and she could have very well been the wife of Director Han, but it just had to be Lin Lan who took advantage of the opportunity.
She felt sorry for herself and cried uncontrollably. Despite the fact that they werenât a couple, she believed that Han Qingsong would come up to comfort her and even couldnât help fantasising the possibility of him walking over to pat her shoulder, consoling her. Perhaps, he might even⦠Her indecent thoughts started to cause her cheeks to burn.
Han Qingsong didnât speak as he watched her do nothing but cry. He was feeling really impatient, so he said coldly, âSun Zhuowen!!â n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
.
Sun Zhuowen hurried in, âDirector Han?â
âWhat kind of messed up family member is this?â
Sun Zhuowen glanced at Liu Chunfang, a little puzzled, before he looked at Han Qingsongâs expression and immediately understood that he made a mistake.
The main reason was that when he saw Liu Chunfang declaring her intentions to see Director Han, it seemed as if her expressions and her words conveyed another meaning. It wasnât an exaggeration to say that he sincerely thought there was something going on between the two, so he assumed that this was his Directorâs wife, who had apparently gone through some trouble at home and showed up at her husbandâs workplace to talk about it.
Who would have thought that it wasnât the case.
He couldnât help but feel agitated, âWho are you?â
Liu Chunfang hurriedly apologised and said that she was from the same village as Director Han.
Sun Zhuowen broke out in a cold sweat as he quickly apologised with a shy smile, âDirector Han, it was my fault for not clarifying it properly. This will not happen again.â
Han Qingsong said, âFrom now on, besides Lin Lan, you need not entertain anyone from my village who wishes to see me. Instead, refer them to Luo Haicheng and Han Qingyun.â
Sun Zhuowen hurriedly nodded in agreement and asked Liu Chunfang to leave whilst wiping away the layer of cold sweat that formed on his skin.
Liu Chunfang immediately grabbed her son, âI⦠we are here to make a report.â
Han Qingsong became even more impatient as he waved his hand, telling them to find Luo Haicheng.
Liu Chunfang didnât expect that he would be this unreasonable and ruthless to her. After all, they went on a date before, so there should have been a minimum amount of politeness in his tone even if they couldnât be intimate with the other.
She sobbed twice, âQingsongâ¦â
Han Qingsong frowned before he suddenly asked, âWhich family do you belong to?â
In general, determining seniority in the countryside depended on the men. Some men who were mindful of their image would also refrain from simply addressing or contacting another manâs wife. After all, it was an unspoken rule to always seek the husband first when it came to discussions.
Hence, Han Qingsong asked this question.
Liu Chunfang said her husbandâs name. He was from the Hui family and according to his generation, he was technically Han Qingsongâs nephew when it came to their age(1).
(T/N: This doesnât mean theyâre related, but it wasnât clearly explained in the original novel. I assume that at some point along the line, the Hui family married earlier and had children faster, which resulted in their descendants being one generation ahead of the Han familyâs)
Han Qingsong looked at her sharply, âAddress me as uncle from now on.â
Liu Chunfangâs lips moved, âButâ¦F-for our Liu family, I have always called you brother.â
âNow that youâre married, you should follow your husbandâs method of addressing. In actual fact, our Han family is technically a senior to yours as well. Thatâs enough, you go ahead and make a complaint,â Han Qingsong waved his hands impatiently before he continued to work with his head bowed.
