Dahlia's POV

"That one looks like a boat." I grinned as I pointed up at the cloud that appeared to be passing by.

"I see a scooter," Madi said. I tilted my head, narrowed my eyes, and then nodded. "Yeah, I can see that."

Madi got to pick what we did today. Since yesterday was really busy, he decided that we should spend all of today just relaxing. He loves birdwatching and cloud watching, so that's what we're doing.

We drove to a nearby park which didn't have that many people there, thankfully, and now we're all just lying on the grass, staring up at the clouds.

I was iffy about spending most of my day outside since I fucking hate summer, but it's actually been really peaceful. It's not really that hot today and there's a nice breeze. The sun is pretty much hidden by the clouds, although it's still nice and bright out. It's mostly quiet, other than the sound of the trees rustling and the birds chirping. It's nice.

"That looks like a skirt." He pointed to another one. I nodded and let out a small hum.

This is the most relaxed I've been in a while. This is the fucking life. I let my eyes flutter shut for a few seconds, but they didn't stay closed for long.

"I see titties." Billie's voice interrupted my peace and I opened my eyes, only to see her standing over me with her hands on her knees, clearly staring at my boobs.

"I know you are talking about Dahlia's, but I see breasts too." Madi pointed to some clouds and we all looked at them. Huh. They really did look like tits.

"Why must you ruin my bliss?" I questioned Billie as she laid down beside me and intertwined our hands.

"It's my job, duh." She rolled her eyes before resting her head beside mine. "I love you."

"I love you too." I smiled.

"I do not like your cuteness. It makes me upset." Madi mumbled. I looked over at him and noticed that he really did look upset.

"Why?" I asked softly.

"I do not have a person to love like that." He grumbled. "I do want one, but I do not think I will find one."

"Don't say that!" I nearly shouted, quickly sitting up. "You're a great guy, Madi! Anyone would be lucky to have you!"

He looked down for a moment as he thought and then he shrugged. "Probably." He giggled.

I laughed and patted his knee softly.

"I do not like many people, though. People make me...Annoyed. Most times. I like to be alone. But not always." He continued.

"Well, I'm the same way, kinda. Trust me, you'll find someone one day that you won't mind spending most of your time with." I smiled. "I can't wait to find someone like that myself." I joked.

Billie slapped the back of my shoulder and grunted in response.

"Can I ask if you like guys or girls?" I tilted my head.

"I have thought about this a lot because most of my new friends seem to like the same sex." He smiled. "I do not. I like breasts a lot."

"I feel you, bro." Billie chimed in.

"I have learned not to tell people that, though." He sighed.

"That you're straight? Why?" I asked.

"No. I have learned not to tell people I like their breasts. I did like one girl and I told her that I liked her breasts to be nice and show her that I liked her. She did n-not appreciate my gesture." He explained.

"Oh." I nodded slowly. "Right, you might need to try complimenting something else. Like, if you like a girl's smile or something?"

"I did not like that girl's smile. It was uneven and it bothered me."

"Okay..." I drifted off. "You could compliment a girl's hair and I'm sure she'd like that!"

"Maybe." He mumbled before pointing at another cloud. "Looks like Billie."

I looked at it and noticed that it really looked like a crazy looking dog. He held his hand out for a high five which I gave him. Billie slapped the back of my shoulder again.

I laid down and grabbed her hand once again.

The peace didn't last that long.

"FUCKING KICK THE BALL YOU FRICKIN FRICK!" Cadence screamed as Caden tried yet again to kick the ball and missed. "YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD AT FUCKING SPORTS, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"

"I PLAY FOOTBALL, NOT FUCKING KICKBALL!" He screamed back.

On his last try, he finally managed to kick the ball and run two bases.

We decided to play kickball after Cora and Liza got into yet another argument and somehow decided to settle it on the 'field'.

It's Cora, Billie, Cadence, Caden and I versus Liza, Jessica, Kai, Heidi, and Hudson. Since this is a park and not an actual field, we didn't have any actual bases so Jules, Madi, Kit, and Ori are standing around representing the bases. Ken and Bea are standing around keeping a close eye on things and acting as referees. Gigi is rolling the ball.

We've been playing for only about fifteen minutes, but the game is pretty intense. I mean, what game of kickball isn't intense?

I was next up to kick after Caden and I kicked the ball pretty far on my first try. I ran as quickly as I could and Caden and I both made it back to the home plate and high fived each other.

"Yeah, we're the best!" He screamed loudly.

"Cool it. It took you three tries just to kick the damn ball. You need to get your head in the game before we fuck around and lose to that no good, bitch!" Cora screamed the last part and Liza flipped her off.

"You guys need to chill, for real." I sighed. "I know you're mad at each other but playing an overly aggressive game of kickball isn't going to solve anything."

"Dahlia, I appreciate your words of wisdom or whatever, but I literally don't care right now. All I care about is winning this game so I can show her what she's missing!" Cora whisper yelled.

"What she's missing?" I raised my brows.

"Amelia, the bitch she's leaving me for, sucks at kickball. I know that because I saw her play one time in gym class."

"I don't think she's leaving you for—"

"She said, and I quote, 'I want to see other people.' Who do you think 'other people' is, Dahlia?" Cora rolled her eyes. "They totally like each other, and hey, that's fucking fantastic, but I just want Liza to know at the end of the day that I am better than Amelia in every way. And I'm especially better than her at kickball."

"Don't you think that maybe you should just try to talk to her about—"

"Are you losers gonna chit chat all day or are we gonna continue the game?!" Liza screamed from the other side of the field.

It was Billie's turn to kick, and she managed to kick the ball...About three feet. She foolishly decided to try to get to first base and didn't make it.

"I'll kill her!" Cora screamed.

"That kick was pussy!" Kit yelled from across the field before laughing. I pouted as Billie trudged back over to us with her head down.

"Maybe next time, babe." I patted her shoulder.

The game went on for what seemed like ages. I was honestly starting to get sick of it, but it seemed like neither of our teams could win. We stayed tied the majority of the time and I'm pretty sure we weren't following the actual kickball rules so it made the game last longer.

It ended pretty abruptly after about forty-five minutes, though.

It was Cora's turn to kick and kick she did. She ran up to the ball, kicked it with all the force she could muster up, and it flew through the air, seemingly in slow motion, and then it smacked Liza right in the face, causing her to fall down.

We all gasped as we stared at her with wide eyes, waiting to see if she'd move or something. She didn't for quite some time.

We'd been playing with a basketball so...I really hoped she wasn't dead or something. That'd kinda suck.

After a few moments, we all sprinted toward her at the same time and tried to help her up. Her nose was bleeding like hell and I could already see a bruise forming.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" Cora shouted as soon as she was close to Liza. "I swear to god I did not mean to do that!"

"I swear to god, I meant to do this." Liza growled as she stood up and threw a punch at Cora. We all gasped again as Cora fell down, and Liza was quickly pulled away from her—and from me—By Hudson.

Cora stood up quickly and lunged forward, trying to hit her again and then it turned into a small brawl. They kept trying to get to each other to hit each other and we kept trying to hold them back.

I really wanted to turn around and take a swing at Liza myself, but I figured that wouldn't help the situation at all so I refrained.

"I can't believe I was ever with you!" Cora screamed.

"Right back at you, you psycho slut!" Liza spat.

"Aye, you need to chill before I beat your little ass, bitch. You must've forgot that that's my little sister?" I growled, narrowing my eyes at her.

"I don't give a shit! She could be the pope's sister and I still wouldn't fucking care! That stupid bitch probably broke my fucking nose!" She screamed.

"You keep talking and you're gonna have a broken ass to go with it," I warned her. "Y'all both need to just take a moment to chill and take some deep breaths, and then we're gonna get back on the bus, go back to the hotel, and you're gonna pack your shit and fuck off."

"What? No, I'm not leaving!" Liza shook her head quickly.

"Yeah, you are." I chuckled, stepping closer to her. "You're not gonna punch my little sister and then go on like nothing happened. The only reason your ass is here in the first place is because she wanted you here but now that's clearly not the case anymore so, bitch, you're gone. And if you wanna talk about it some more, me and you can go somewhere more private and have a one on one. Is that what you wanna do? Or do you wanna just do what the fuck I told you to and leave without me having to make you?" I glared.

She was silent for a few moments before she just rolled her eyes and turned to walk away, probably heading for the bus.

I turned to look at Cora and see if she was alright, and she seemed to be fine. She grinned at me and silently thanked me and I nodded.

"I hate to break the awkward tension, but that was hot." Billie said as she threw an arm around my shoulders.

***

We kinda ruined Madi's peaceful day at the park, so we decided to make it up to him by going to visit an aquarium. He loves aquariums!

After dropping Liza off at the hotel, we headed straight to the aquarium and Madi was beyond excited once we got there. I was too. I've never been to one before and I've always wanted to! I was iffy at first because I heard stories about how bad aquariums could be and how unfair they are to the animals, but we did some research before we picked which one to go to, and this one seems to be all good.

"I wonder if I take the time out to create a language to communicate with the shark if it'll be willing to bust out of there if I ask it to?" Billie questioned as she pressed her nose up against the glass.

I sighed. "Billie, please. Don't be ridiculous. You're much more likely to have luck with the dolphins. They seem like they'd be willing to break out if you asked them to."

"The shark is more of a challenge." She shrugged. "I like that."

"—Epaulette shark. Nocturnal. Lives 20 to 25 years. Typically 70 to...90 centimeters long. Found along the Southern coast of New Guinea to the Northern coast of Australia." Madi murmured to himself as he stared intently at the shark in front of him.

"Aww. He's so smart, isn't he Bil—" I cut myself off as I looked at her again and saw her doing some weird form of 'sign language' as she looked at the shark swimming around in front of her.

"Focus on me, please, Janice! I'm saying 'break out!' That's what this gesture means!" She said.

I smiled at a few people as they walked by, staring at her weirdly, and then slowly walked away from her. If anybody asks, I don't have a clue who she is, but I'm almost sure she's on drugs.

I walked for a while, eyeing all the weird-looking fish, big and small sharks, and all the sea creatures I didn't know the name of. The blue water swooshing around as they all swam peacefully made me feel really calm.

Of course, the rare moments of calm and peace that I get to experience never last long.

"You look stupid."

I didn't think the person was talking to me at first. I wasn't paying any attention to the chatter around me anyway. I was too focused on looking at the octopus in front of me.

I felt a tap on my hip, though, and that grabbed my attention. I looked down, beside me, and smiled as I saw a little girl standing there. She looked like she was five or six, and she was wearing a pink princess costume.

"Hi, there!" I greeted her.

"Did you hear what I said?" She asked. I shook my head. "I said you look stupid." She told me.

"Um...Why do you think that?" I questioned, not really sure how I was supposed to respond. Literally, who's child is this?

"Your clothes are useless. They don't cover anything. If my mommy was here, she'd say you look like a slut." She smiled.

"Aw, thank you. My girlfriend would be happy to hear that." I smiled fakely at her. "Where is your mommy?"

"Your girlfriend? Aren't you supposed to have a boyfriend?" She tilted her head.

"I can have whatever and whoever I want because I got it like that," I told her, flipping my hair behind my shoulder and rolling my eyes. "Aren't you supposed to be somewhere getting your diaper changed or something?"

"You are stupid. I'm seven, I don't wear diapers." She rolled her own eyes. I raised my brows. "Seven? You're pretty small for your age, runt." I smirked.

"I'd rather be small than big," She shrugged. "You're big and ugly."

My mouth flew open and I let out a shocked laugh. "Yeah? Well, you have a smart mouth and you don't seem very likable!" I shot back.

She scoffed. "Oh, I'm so hurt."

"Literally, where did you even come from?! Where's your mother?" I questioned.

"She got lost." She shrugged. "Why's your hair so oily? Do you wash it?"

"My hair is gorgeous!" I shouted. "What's your name?"

"Misty. Yours?"

"Dahlia."

"That's kind of stupid." She mumbled. "How old are you?"

"Eighteen."

"You look thirty."

"You must think I won't fight you just because you're seven and there are witnesses around?" I tilted my head. "I'm not beyond stomping a little bitch into the ground, don't fucking—"

"Oh my god, Dahlia, what the fuck?"

I turned to look behind me and saw Billie standing there with her mouth wide open. "And here I thought I was bad with kids."

"It's not what it looks like!" I told her quickly "She—"

"She's scaring me! I want my mommy!" The little bitch screamed as she pointed at me. Billie walked over and quickly picked her up when she started crying, and I rolled my eyes.

"Dahlia, what the fu—freak is wrong with you?! Why are you bullying a child?" She hissed. I placed my hands on my hips and raised my brows at her.

"You cannot possibly be this gullible." I chuckled. "She's clearly faking!"

"And why would she be faking?" She questioned.

"I don't know, maybe she's just evil?" I shrugged.

Billie shook her head at me before looking at Misty again. "Hey, why don't I go buy you some ice cream and then we can find your mommy, alright?"

"Okay." Misty smiled, showing off her missing teeth. Billie walked off, still holding her, and I let out a loud gasp as Misty gave me the finger before they disappeared.

I cannot believe this shit.
