"I'm not saying that I'm the baddest bitch alive, but...I'm one of the baddest bitches alive." Cadence smirked as she twirled around in the mirror and then blew herself a kiss.

"I agree." Kit smirked as she looked her up and down.

"Stop cheating on me! God!" Billie huffed before walking away. I smirked and shook my head before taking my lip gloss out and reapplying some. I smacked my lips together a few times and Kit tsk'd.

"You have a real pretty mouth, Doe." She winked.

"Don't flirt if you're not trying to fuck," I warned her before putting my gloss back in my purse. "Is everyone ready?!" I yelled loudly. Everyone yelled their responses, most of which were 'Yes'

"Okay, you two, time to have a chit chat," I told Madi and Cora as I pulled them to the side. "Cora, there will be nothing but sober fun for you tonight, understand? I'll be watching you—Everyone here will be watching you, and like a hawk at that—and I promise you if I spot you holding one alcoholic beverage we're all gonna come back to this hotel and I'm gonna whoop your ass."

"Sis—"

"Don't you sis me! You're too young to drink and I won't allow it. Stay close to someone you know at all times, keep your cellphone in your hand at all times, and make sure you don't drink anything that you didn't fix yourself. And don't take your eyes off anything you're drinking either. And make sure you keep your purse on you at all times. Don't leave it anywhere! Your keys and your mace are in it, and you need those just in case. Call me if you need anything and I will come running. Cadence doesn't really drink, and she's agreed to keep a special eye on you tonight—"

"But I don't need—"

"And there will be no going anywhere alone, especially with people you don't know. Keep your hands off of people and make sure people keep their hands off of you. No flirting either. You're fifteen, and I'll make sure everybody within a hundred-mile radius knows it. No grown ass dude should be trying to get with you. No grown ass girl should be trying to get with you. Matter of fact, nobody should even be talking to you."

"Do you wanna tattoo the words 'You're not allowed to talk to her' on my forehead or something?" She rolled her eyes.

"Do you have the ink and a needle?" I raised a brow.

"You're being ridiculous."

"I'm being a good big sister. You're welcome, bitch. Don't do anything stupid tonight. Not that you'll be able to." I made the 'I'm watching you' signal with my hands. "Like a fucking hawk."

I gestured for her to go on and she walked off. I turned to Madi and smiled at him. "Now you."

"I do not have a purse to keep my mace in," He giggled before holding his hand up for a high five. I narrowed my eyes at him but gave him a high five anyway.

"This is no joking matter, Madi. Parties can be a lot. You need to make sure you stay close to someone you know at all times too, and text me or call me if you need me at any point. And no going off with someone you don't know either!"

"Yes, mom." He smirked. "Anything else?"

"No excessive drinking!" I told him before reaching up to ruffle his hair. "And remember, if you find a pretty girl, what do you say?"

"I do not like your breasts, I like your eyes instead!" He clapped.

"N-No, leave the first part out. Just say 'I like your eyes' okay?" I smiled.

"Sure."

I patted him on the shoulder and then went to get my shoes on.

***

The party was a little less than fifteen minutes away from our hotel. When we got there, a good amount of people were there but it was nothing too crazy. It looked really nice and there was so much neon! It honestly made my neon heart happy.

"Everyone on their best behavior tonight!" I yelled to my friends as they all walked off. I quickly grabbed Billie's hand as she was about to walk away too.

"Hey, I just wanted to say I'm sorry about earlier." I smiled. "I didn't cheat on you. I'd never do that. And I wasn't flirting with that girl, but I get why you have a hard time trusting—"

"Do you think we're gonna stand here, in the middle of this loud ass party, and have a deep fucking discussion about our relationship?" She rolled her eyes. "I'll see you in a couple of hours or something." She muttered before walking off.

I let out a frustrated groan before heading toward the kitchen. She just needs space and time, I guess.

I poured myself a drink and then walked out of the kitchen, slowly sipping on it and looking around as I tried to find someone to talk to.

I've been to a few parties now, so you'd think I wouldn't be so damn awkward, but I am. If I'm not talking to any of my friends, I don't really know what to do, and none of my friends are around so...

I guess I can try to find Bridget and her girlfriend. Maybe I can talk to them for a bit and then let them meet Billie. Then she'll see that Bridget has a girlfriend and hopefully she'll chill on the 'You flirt too much' bullshit.

I walked around for a while trying to find them, and it didn't take long. They were leaning against the wall, looking really cool in some adorable matching outfits.

I went over to them quickly and greeted them each with hugs once they noticed me.

"You look great!" Elise, Bridget's girlfriend, grinned.

"So do you guys!"

We easily dived into a nice conversation as we traveled back into the kitchen which was a little quieter than the main area.

We honestly sat in there talking for a good two hours, mostly about how Bridget made her music. It was nice hearing about what inspired her to write, what her process was, and all that.

I was interested in what she was saying but I also kept zoning out as I thought about Billie. All the times she'd talked to me about her incredible music. Watching her write lyrics and drum her fingers on her legs as she thought of a beat to go with her songs. Watching her and Finneas bicker as they tried to decide how they wanted the music they made to sound. Listening to her hum and sing random-ass notes here and there without even realizing she was doing it, and she always sounded incredible.

Bridget somehow started talking about how in middle school, she used to be a huge art nerd and she was always drawing. That made me think of Billie too. She was always drawing in her journal, and sometimes she'd just draw the same things over and over again, but it didn't matter. All the stuff she showed me looked great.

Bridget began talking about her childhood at some point too, and she and Elise would laugh at the dumb shit she said she'd done when she was a kid. It was funny, but I was still only half paying attention.

Billie had shown me a lot of pictures and told me a lot of stories about her childhood, and they were all pretty funny too. She was an adorable kid, and she seemed so different, and I really loved getting to see what she was like back then.

"Hey, I'm sorry to dip, but I'm gonna go see if I can find my girlfriend. I might be back soon? I'd love for you guys to meet her!" I smiled as I stood up from the kitchen table that'd been pushed to the side. They both nodded and waved at me before I walked off.

I don't know why I can't get my mind off of her. Every time I try to think of something different, she just pops right back into my head. She's taking over all my thoughts, and it's a little scary, but I can't say I mind it. I love her.

It genuinely hurts my heart when she's angry at me and I'm not gonna feel any better until we make up. If we just sit down and talk this shit out, it'll all be fine and we can get back to being our usual, annoying selves.

It took me about ten minutes to find her, and when I did, she was sitting on the couch with some girl on her lap.

They were both laughing, Billie's hand was resting on her waist and the girl's arm was draped over Billie's shoulder.

I stood there looking at them for a few minutes, watching every move closely, and I guess she felt me watching because she turned her head to look in my direction. She looked around for a bit until she spotted me, and rather than doing what I expected her to do—Throw the girl off of her and claim that it wasn't what it looked like—She simply smirked at me and pulled the girl closer, burying her face in the girl's hair and moving her hand so that it was resting on the girl's thigh instead of her hip.

She looked back over at me afterward, and I smiled, waved at her, and blew her a kiss before walking over to the couch that wasn't too far away from there's and taking a seat. I crossed one of my legs over the other and pulled out my phone, beginning to look through all my notifications.

I could feel her glaring right at me, but I didn't look up from my phone.

I wanted to run to the bathroom and have a breakdown, but I wouldn't allow myself to do it. It's pretty fucking obvious that she wants me to be jealous and she wants to hurt me, and I'm not about to let her see that she's doing that.

I couldn't hear their conversation very well, despite being fairly close to them because the loud music was covering it up, but what I did catch of it made my blood boil.

The bitch on her lap was flirting like fuck, clearly intoxicated, or at least I hoped so since her voice was so fucking annoying. She slurred all her words, but somehow I figured that that was just her usual voice. She was a total valley girl.

Billie was calling her all sorts of pet names, making no efforts to let it be known that she had a fucking girlfriend who was sitting right the fuck across from them, and every time I took a quick glance at them, it looked like they were practically groping each other. The bitch wouldn't keep her hands off of Billie to save her life.

And I just remember thinking, 'I'm about to beat this bitch up.'

Fuck, Dahlia, no! Damn it, this isn't the time for memes!

I sat over there for about an hour, silently plotting how I was gonna murder them both, and then some guy came and sat down next to me.

"What's a pretty girl like you doing sitting here all alone?" He questioned, scooting closer to me than necessary.

Now, at first, I was just going to do what I did to every other guy that approached me in a flirty manner. Tell him I'm gay, hope that gets rid of him and then if it doesn't, emasculate him until he cries or gets mad and leaves. But then I thought...Well, if Billie's having fun then why can't I?

I mean, not that that's not fun. But you know...I'll have a different type of fun tonight.

"Oh, all my friends are off somewhere doing their own thing, so I'm just...Here." I giggled, flipping my hair over my shoulder as I sent him a wide smile and put down my phone.

"Yeah? Where's your boyfriend at?" He asked, putting his arm over the couch.

"Oh, I don't have a boyfriend!" I giggled, resting my chin on my fist as I blinked at him. "I do have a girlfriend, though."

"Oh...Are you gay?" He cleared his throat, blushing slightly.

"Yeah, I am." I sighed. "My girlfriends making me rethink that, though." I let out a bitter laugh, my eyes flickering over to Billie. The smirk she'd been wearing for the majority of the time I'd been over here had been wiped off and I could literally see her shaking with anger.

"Oh, is she giving you trouble?" He tilted his head. "What is it? Not keeping you satisfied?" He chuckled lowly. "I bet I could." He leaned in closer.

"Yeah?" I raised a brow.

"Yeah." He rested his grubby little hand on my thigh and brought his lips to my neck.

"Yo, get the fuck away from her before I end your fucking life, bitch."

I quickly looked over and saw that Billie was now standing up, coming closer to us as she spoke. Since the girl that had previously been sitting on her lap was now on the floor looking mad and confused as hell...I'm guessing Billie got up pretty quickly.

"Who the hell—"

"You fucking look at her again tonight and I promise you it'll be the last thing you ever do in your pathetic little life." She warned him lowly before grabbing my wrist and yanking me up.

I quickly grabbed my phone and mouthed a quick 'Sorry' to him before we were out of his sight.

"Where the fuck are we going?" I questioned angrily. "And why the fuck do you wanna talk to me now? You didn't give a fuck about talking to me when you were over there flirting with your new bitch." I spat.

She didn't say anything to me as she continued storming through the house. She yanked me all the way up the stairs and halfway down the hallway before quickly opening a random door. She pulled me in the room after her and I gasped as I saw a girl and guy on the bed, just about to start having sex.

"Get the fucking fuck out of here now." Billie growled. She glared at them both and after a few seconds, they slowly got up, grabbed their clothes and walked out, keeping a close eye on her as they did.

She slammed the door closed behind them and I rolled my eyes as I went over to open it right back up. I don't even wanna look at her right now.

I only got the door halfway open before she pushed it closed again, turned me around and pushed me up against it. My eyes widened as her hand found its way to my throat and she glared down at me, looking angrier than I'd probably ever seen her. Well, she's never been this angry at me at least.

"What the fuck were you thinking letting that guy talk to you like that? Get close to you like that, look at you like that?! You know you didn't fucking want him, you're not into dick." She huffed. "You're mine, you understand that? You don't fucking let anyone get close to you like that except for me."

"Shut the actual fuck up," I scoffed. "You don't get to give me that speech after letting that bitch sit on your lap and feel you up for all that time. You might as well have finger fucked her on the couch. What was up with that? You were trying to make me jealous, but why—"

"I wanted you to feel as shitty as I felt when I found out you cheated on me! I wanted you to be jealous and hurt, but apparently, you don't give a shit about me because it didn't work! Instead, you just sat there, smiling at your stupid phone until some prick decided to come flirt with you!" She seethed.

"Tell me why the fuck you think I cheated on you! I didn't fucking cheat on you, when would I even have the fucking time?! We're together, like, all the time, and when we're not I'm with our friends!" I screamed.

She chuckled and pulled out her phone. She tapped on it hastily for a few seconds before turning it around to face me. I narrowed my eyes as I looked at the screen.

It was a picture of some girl—who did happen to look like me from the back—straddling another girl. She was wearing something that I'd wear too, and her hair was just like mine—I could see why someone might think it was me, but still. I had to laugh.

"You think this is funny?!" She questioned as I snorted.

"Girl, I love you but you're dumb stupid." I shook my head. "You mean to tell me you've been pissed off at me all fucking day because of this picture? This is your proof?"

"That's literally you—"

"It's literally not! I don't own that outfit, even though it's super cute and I need to know where those pants came from..." I stared at the picture for a few seconds as I tried to figure out where the girl might've gotten them. Focus, Dahlia. "Plus, she looks like she's a bit taller than me and her skin is the tiniest bit tanner. And if you look closely, her hair is a tad bit lighter than mine."

"No, no, no, I've been staring at this picture for ages and I've decided that this is totally you!" She told me. I rolled my eyes. "Well, you've decided wrong. When do you even think this was taken? Shouldn't you have known that that wasn't me since I haven't worn an outfit even remotely close to that one since we've been on vacation?"

"Oh, well..." She blushed, letting out a small sigh. "Um...The person who sent me this picture told me that it was taken a little earlier in the year and that they wanted to show me sooner but didn't wanna hurt my feelings..." She mumbled.

I crossed my arms over my chest, raising my brows. "And who exactly sent it to you?" I tilted my head, a small smirk on my face. I know exactly who sent that bullshit.

"Don't make me say it."

"Tell me who sent you that picture, Billie."

"...Liza..." She whispered.

"Mhm, and was this before or after she and my sister got into a fight which resulted in me sending her ass home and her being pissed off because of that?" I questioned.

She squeezed her eyes shut and sighed. "I wasn't thinking, alright? I should've seen that coming, but I just—I got so mad, I just wasn't thinking!" She tried to explain. I continued glaring at her and she sighed again. "Well, at least we've solved this, huh? We can stop fighting now, right baby?"

"Oh, so now we're just supposed to move on?" I chuckled bitterly. "Billie, I don't even—I can't even tell you how pissed I am right now. You fucking believe everyone over me always. I'm your girlfriend and you should fucking trust me. I stared you dead in your eyes and told you the truth and you still didn't believe me!"

I shook my head. "And not only that, but rather than talking to me like an actual fucking human being you decided to yell at me, ice me out, and then had me out here looking fucking stupid by allowing some random ass bitch to sit on your fucking lap and touch on you for fucking hours and the only reason you got your ass up was because you were mad that somebody else was giving me the fucking attention that you weren't!"

"And now you want me to just fucking drop this shit and forgive you just like that because I took two seconds to point out that the girl in that dumbass picture isn't me! Which, by the way, you could've done yourself! All you had to do was do a quick google search of this image and I'm willing to bet that it would've popped up, and then you would've known that Liza's stupid ass got it offline! Are you fucking—" I quit yelling and let out a sigh as I slapped my hands against my thighs.

Her phone had been buzzing like crazy during my whole speech and instead of ignoring it, she was staring at it intently, clearly reading the messages instead of listening to me.

"Is everything okay? Did something happen?" I questioned.

"No, everything's good." She mumbled, not really paying me any attention.

"Well, it must be important since you're not fucking listening to me yell at you—"

She quickly turned the phone away from me and locked it as I went over to look. "It's fucking fine, Dahlia, God! You don't have to be in my business all the time." She rolled her eyes. "Look, I'm really sorry about tonight, but..."

She drifted off as her phone began buzzing again. She stepped away from me and unlocked it again, scrolling through the messages.

Great. She's so focused on her stupid phone that she can't even pay attention to our argument. And yet she had no problem paying every bit of attention to the bitch that'd been sitting on her lap earlier. Great.

"Billie, I'm trying to talk to you about—"

"I'm fucking busy right now, dude, just...Just give me a few seconds!" She yelled angrily, still staring at her phone.

I stood there looking at her for a minute before I decided to just walk out of the room. I slammed the door shut behind me and waited a few seconds to see if she'd come after me, but she didn't.

What the fuck ever, I'm over that shit.
