Dahlia's POV
************
"You have the prettiest little moan I've ever heard." Billie chuckled before reattaching her lips to my neck. I sucked in a sharp breath as she slowly slid her hand up my thigh, the water sloshing around us as she swam backward, bringing us closer to the edge of the pool.
"Are you two fucking in the pool right now? Is nothing sacred anymore?" Ken's voice interrupted us.
"Right, like, seriously? Right in front of my banana nut muffin?" Caden shook his head before shoving the rest of his muffin into his mouth.
"Did we say anything to you when you were banging Ken in the movie theater bathroom yesterday?" Billie raised a brow.
"At least we had the decency to go into a stall!" He defended.
"We were not banging in the bathroom!" She shouted, elbowing him in the stomach.
"And we're not fucking in the pool." I sighed.
"Well, had they not interrupted, maybe we would be." She huffed.
"You two have been fucking like bunnies since you made up." Ken smirked.
Billie shrugged. "It's our therapy and an important part of our schedule. I eat her for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, andâ"
"Shut up!" I rolled my eyes. Why are these people so dirty? Glad I'm a sweet, innocent child of God.
"Well, you two need to get out and get dressed! We've only got two more days left at this hotel after today and we need to make the most of it! We've only eaten at the breakfast buffet six times! We haven't even attended any of the special events the hotel has been holding! We're slacking!" Caden exclaimed, leaning down and literally picking me up to get me out of the pool.
He did the same to Billie, but threw her over his shoulder rather than putting her down. Before I could protest, he slung me over his other shoulder. "We don't have time to waste! You two need to go get dressed!"
"Put me down, you fucking ogre!" I shouted.
"Calm down, Dahlia, at least this way we don't have to walk." Billie shrugged.
Ken skipped along beside us as Caden carried us all the way inside the hotel and into the elevator. He finally put us down when we were on it and I glared at him. "What are we even supposed to be doing today?" I asked.
"Well, the hotel is having a charity auction later on tonight!" He chuckled nervously. "I was talking to the manager a while back and she was telling me about the auction and she was telling me that all the money they earn will go toward keeping our oceans clean! Building devices that can filter out trash and all that, you know?"
"Aw, that's amazing!" I clapped excitedly.
"Yeah, I thought you might think so! So...I kinda signed you up to be in the auction." He mumbled.
"You what?!" I asked quickly.
"Well, it's just that they needed more people and things to auction and I just figured that maybe you'd want toâ"
"Why the fuckâWhen the fuck did youâWhy the fuckâ"
"Calm down! It's okay!"
"No, it is not okay! I don't want anybody to buy me, I mean, what if some creep fucking buys me?!" I questioned loudly, backing him into the corner of the elevator.
"Calm down, baby, you have nothing to worry about. I'll buy you." Billie grinned, pulling me away from him. "Although, I've gotta tell you right now, if I spend big money on you then I'm gonna be expecting some sex."
"You see? You see what you've done?" I glared at him. "Now I have to have sex with my girlfriend! Thanks a lot!"
"I'm gonna pretend that didn't hurt my feelings." Billie mumbled.
"I just wanna know why out of all our friends you decided to volunteer me!" I grumbled.
"You weren't around to say no." Caden shrugged.
***
Well, if I'm gonna do this then I'm gonna go all out.
I smirked as I pulled my pants up and turned to look at my ass in the mirror. Plaid makes me look thick. That's why I wear it so much.
"You look good, Mamacita." Kit smirked as she looked me up and down. I gotta agree with her. My face is beat to perfection, my eye makeup is perfect, my highlighter is popping and I've got a nice shade of red lipstick on. I look really fucking good.
"I'm feelin' myself." I grinned before high fiving Hudson, who'd helped Cadence do my make up.
"I would've bought you even if you were wearing your sweats! But I'm not complaining about this look." Billie chuckled as she grabbed my ponytail and wrapped it around her finger.
I feel like this ponytail makes me look like a cheap version of Ariana Grande. Which isn't as bad as it sounds! I'd rather be the cheap version of Ariana Grande than no version of Ariana Grande. Yuh.
"Okay, we need to start heading down to the lobby now. You look great, loser!" Caden poked my side as he walked by me.
Earlier, after he told me that he got me put into the auction, I spoke to the manager and figured out what it was that I was supposed to be doing. It's simple. All I have to do is stand on the stage and look pretty and hope that someone is willing to 'buy me' for the nightâIn a totally not dirty way. Since I know that Billie's buying me, I don't have to be worried about standing there looking like an idiot and desperately hoping that someone will take an interest in me. I'm glad I don't have to go through that anxiety.
"Okay, everyone got everything?" I asked my friends. They all nodded and we all started walking out of the room.
We all piled onto the elevator and chatted amongst ourselves during the ride. When we got to the lobby, I felt myself starting to get nervous. There were a lot more people here than what I'd been expecting. It was packed full.
Fuck. I'm gonna be on the little stage in front of all these people. They're all gonna be looking at me! Shit.
I'm not usually nervous when I'm in front of people, I mean, I've had to stand at the front of large classes and give speeches and shit plenty of times in school! It's just that...These people are gonna be judging me and bidding on me based solely on my looks.
It's a bad time to be fucking ugly.
"What's your spot?" Cora asked.
"I'm going on fifth, I think." I sighed.
"I'm gonna take so many pictures of you!" Cadence grinned. "You look so good!"
"Thanks," I mumbled shyly. I do not like this attention. This was a really bad idea. Well, it's not like it was mine in the first fucking place, but still!
"Come on, I'll walk you to the 'backstage' area." Caden smiled before wrapping an arm around my shoulder. I glared up at him as my friends began telling me bye.
"See you in a while! You're gonna be the sexiest bitch to step foot on that stage!" Billie yelled.
"I hate you for this, you know?" I grumbled as me and Caden reached the spot where everyone participating in tonight's event was gathered.
"Oh, shut up. You're gonna be saving some oceans! You should be happy!" He shoved me over toward everybody else. "Good luck!"
"You're gonna need it."
I spun around quickly after hearing the evil voice and let out a loud groan as I saw Misty standing there. "You again? Seriously?! You pop up like a pimple everywhere I go. What are you doing here?"
"What are you doing here? I didn't know poor people could stay in this hotel." She frowned.
"I'm not poor, bitch." I scoffed.
"Well, if you're not poor then why do you dress like...That?" She questioned, looking me up and down.
I looked at her outfit and shook my head. She was wearing a shit ton of makeup, her hair was curled to perfection, and she was wearing a really fancy, bedazzled, pink pageant dress. "Festive." I mumbled.
"This is the dress I wore when I won my 40th pageant," She smirked. "It's really expensive! So, don't touch it."
"I'm guessing your parents put you in this auction with hopes of finding someone willing to buy you and take you away from them." I rolled my eyes.
"No, actually, I'm being auctioned off to a pageant coach. There are six pageant coaches here, and whoever pays the most gets the honor of coaching me!" She giggled before straightening out her tiara and then her satchel. She frowned as she stepped away from me. "Don't get to close. I don't want your cheap perfume covering up the smell of my Chanel."
"So, you're rich, huh?" I questioned.
"Duh."
"Good! That's great!" I smiled as I leaned down, resting my hands on my knees and staring at her. "You're gonna need a lot of money to fix all the damage that bleach is doing to your precious hair."
I plucked a piece of her hair out and she winced, backing away from me. "My hair is naturally blonde!" She stomped her foot.
"Your badly done roots say otherwise, darling."
"If my mommy was over here she'd call you a bitch!" She whisper yelled before sending a big smile to a man passing by.
I scoffed. "Well, your mommy isn't here, so I'm just gonna go ahead and tell you to suck my big, fat, diâ"
"Dahlia Jane Delilah Doe!"
Why does she literally always pop up at the wrong fucking time?
"I can't believe what I'm hearing. I mean, seriously, she's seven!" Billie hissed as she came to stand in front of the little demon.
"Billie, I would never be rude to a child just to be rude, you know that! She's a fucking demon-spawn and every time you're not aroundâ"
"I don't believe you," She shook her head. "I just came back here to make sure you're doing okay, but apparently, you're doing just fine. We're going to have a long talk about this later!" She hissed before walking off. She made sure to hug little Musty before she did, and I rolled my eyes again.
"Your girlfriend loves me more than you. How's that feel?" Misty smirked.
"She's gonna realize you're a bitch one of these days." I grumbled before walking off.
***
The little demon spawn went on right before me and only earned $5000. I'm hoping Billie ends up having to pay $5001 for me so I can rub it in Misty's face later.
I awkwardly clambered onto the stage and stood in the middle, waiting for people's polite cheers to die down. "Yeah, that's my bitch!" Billie screamed at the top of her lungs despite the fact that she was pretty close to the stage and I would've heard her even if she'd just spoken normally.
"Billie, this is a family event!" Cadence nudged her before clapping and whisper yelling. "Fuck it up, bitch!"
When the cheering stopped for the most part, the host spoke from the podium toward the side of the stage. "Ladies and gentlemen, this is Dahlia Doe! Bid on her and get to spend the rest of the night with her!"
Why does that sound so damn dirty?
"Why don't we start the bidding at one hundred dollars?" The host smiled.
Some guy toward the back raised his hand and my eyes quickly darted over to Billie.
"Do I hear $150?" The host asked.
"I got $150!" Kit smirked at me from her spot beside Billie. I pointed at her and looked at the host. "Sold!"
"That's not how it works, dear." The host shook her head and I frowned.
That went on for a while, the number slowly rising as more and more people began to bid. Billie remained silent until it seemed as if nobody else was willing to bid any higher than the last person, and then she'd shout out a price.
Eventually, I'm guessing my friends made it into a game because they all started shouting out prices that they couldn't afford.
"$2700!" Bea screamed.
"$2800!" Jessica.
"$2900!" Cora.
"$3000!" Orbi.
"Guys, shut the fuck up! You're just raising the fucking price!" Billie hissed.
"Are you implying that I'm not worth $3000?" I narrowed my eyes at her.
"No, I'm just saying if I can get an expensive bitch for cheap, then that's what I wanna do." She shrugged.
"$4000!" A random girl yelled.
"$4500!" Jules.
"$5500!" Billie grinned. Fuck yeah! Take that, Musty hoe! I bet she's quaking in her little pageant dress right now!
"Going once...Going twice..."
"$6000!" Madi clapped.
"W-Wait a minute, buddyâ" Billie tried to quiet him but he quickly yelled out '$7000!'
"Madi, stop yelling things!" Jules whisper yelled.
"Oh, sorry. This is just so exciting!" He giggled.
"Going once..."
"$8000!" A girl yelled.
I looked over at Billie and she just shrugged at me, making my eyes bulge. "What the fuck, Billie?!" I yelled.
"I'm using Finneas' money and I don't know if he has more than $6000 on his card right now!" She tried to defend herself.
"Why the fuck are you using Finneas' money?!" I questioned.
"Why would I use my own?" She furrowed her brows.
"You seriously need to stop using that poor boy's money all the time!" I shook my head.
"Well, who else's money am I gonna use?" She scoffed. "Have you seen the things I buy? I'm always buying dumb shit. I'm not dare about to spend my own money onâ"
"Going once...Going twiceâ"
"That girl right there said she's gonna buy me for $10000!" I screamed, pointing at Billie. I glared at her when it looked like she was about to object and she sighed. "Guess I'll have to dip into my own money." She rolled her eyes.
"Sold, to the generous little lady in the front!" The host smiled.
