Don't Hug Me I'm Scared {Billie Eilish}

Dahlia's POV

************

Friday rolled around pretty quickly and once again I was excited for something I'd dreaded at first. I've never been to a football game before. Not in middle school and not in high school before tonight. It's not that I don't like football, I actually love it. I'm obsessed with college football! But high school football? Eh.

Denver was super excited for me to come and watch him play, and Caden was pretty pumped too. Cadence was happy to finally have someone besides Julia to sit with and of course, Billie was happy I'd agreed to come with her.

"You went all out." She smirked as soon as she saw me. I was wearing some black denim jeans, a white tank top and white sneakers with blue and white makeup. I'd painted Caden and Denver's numbers on each of my cheeks in blue and put my hair up into pigtails with blue Pom poms hanging out of them. My school's colors are white and blue, in case it isn't obvious.

"Go hard or go home." I shrugged before sliding into her car. "Just for the record, after tonight, I will not be eating unhealthily no matter where we go. Seriously, my diet is always long forgotten as soon as I hang out with you."

"Good. Your body is already banging and the only thing big on you is—"

"Comment on my ass and I will fling myself out of this car."

"Your boobs." She grinned. I rolled my eyes before reaching over to shove her. Probably not a great idea considering she'd began driving.

"So, What are we doing when we get to your house?" I asked curiously.

"Whatever you want to, baby." She looked me up and down and licked her lips before looking back at the road. "Anything."

"I want to do you—"

"YES!"

"—r makeup." I finished with a loud laugh. Billie was apparently in the mood for a shit ton of dirty jokes tonight.

"Are you saying I'm ugly?" She pouted. I shrugged. "You said it, not me."

"Dude, I could run faster than that in my sleep! Pick up the fucking pace!" Cadence screamed as she wagged her fist in the air like a lunatic. I leaned into Billie and tried to hold in my laughter as I watched Cadence yell at her brother. "If you didn't spend more than half your life shoving greasy food down your throat you might be able to run faster! I don't give a shit how many abs you've got, you are not in fucking shape if this is any indication!"

It's fourth quarter and our team is winning 28-0. I'd hate to see how she'd act if they weren't winning.

She plopped back down and shook her head before shoving some candy into her mouth. "And he wanted to be quarterback." She scoffed. "I'm glad he didn't get it."

Billie wrapped an arm around my shoulder and I leaned into her, breathing in deeply. Her hair smelled fucking amazing and whatever perfume she was wearing made her smell as rich as she is.

"Are you enjoying yourself, baby?" She nearly whispered in my ear. I nodded. "I am. I'm happy I'll get to tease my brother about all his fuck ups when we get home. And I'll get to tease Caden about his weird-ass run."

"You're evil." She laughed.

"You don't seem like the type to watch football." I told her, pulling away so I could look at her better.

"It's cool. I watch it sometimes, but I only came tonight so I could hang out with you."

I blushed and looked away from her, biting my lip. She put a knuckle under my chin and forced me to look at her again. "You're cute when you blush, Doe eyes. Don't try to hide it."

"Why don't you ever ask me to hang out at your house?" I asked.

"You're coming over tonight."

"Yeah, but that's because my brother is. You only invite me when he's coming too. Other than that, we just hang out at football games or bowling alleys or something."

"I don't know..." she frowned, thinking. "I guess I just like that there are other people around? You know, in case you get all shy." She tried to cover up her own shyness and I laughed.

I decided to be bold, leaning in closer to her as I whispered in her ear. "You don't have to be afraid of being with me, Billie. I promise I don't bite...Unless you like that."

What possessed me to nibble on her ear for a few seconds before pulling completely away from her, I have no idea. But I'm glad I did it. For once, she was the one left speechless, a pink tint appearing on her cheeks.

"This is literally disgusting, guys." Cadence reached over to grab some of Billie's takis. Billie was so shocked that she didn't even say anything. I don't think she even noticed.

I looked around to make sure no one saw that little exchange, and I caught Kai's eye. She was sitting a few bleachers up, staring right down at me. I felt a little bad for doing that, knowing how she feels, but she'll be okay.

I raised my brows as she stood up and slowly descended down the bleachers. She got to the bleacher below ours and stood there, smiling at us. I saw Billie tense up and send her a harsh glare.

"Sorry to interrupt, but I literally forgot until like right now that this is your jacket." She took off the denim jacket she was wearing and smiled before tossing it to me. I'd been looking for this damn jacket since the party! I guess I'd given it to her for the night and she forgot to give it back until now.

"Thanks." I smiled. She nodded and I quickly put it on, feeling a little chilly. I shoved my hands in the pockets and called out to Kai as she began to walk away.

"Hey, I think you left something!"

She turned around, sending me a questioning look as she placed a hand on her hip. "What is it?"

"Oh it's a pictu—" I cut myself off with a loud gasp as I looked down and noticed that it was a picture. Of me. Topless.

I don't remember ever taking it so I'm guessing this happened at the party? Why the hell—

"Oh, yikes." Kai gritted her teeth and drew in a breath. "I totally forgot about that picture."

I turned it over quickly as Billie looked over my shoulder, trying to see it. She stood up quickly, moving to the bleacher below us.

"Ugh—um—how—"

"I took that picture at the party, remember, silly?" She pushed past Billie and walked closer to me, leaning down so we could be eye to eye. I tried to hide the tears in my eyes as I stared at her.

I can't fucking believe there was a picture of me like this just floating around out there and I had no idea about it. Why hadn't she mentioned the fact that she'd taken this picture and—why the hell had she printed it out?

"Why didn't you tell me—"

"Why didn't Billie?" She growled. "I told her if she didn't stay away from you I'd show it to everyone and she's been up your ass even more ever since."

I gasped, looking over at Billie. She knew about this and she didn't fucking tell me?

"And I told you that I would end you if you showed that picture to anybody!" Billie hissed.

"What the fuck?! How could you not tell me about this, Billie? You didn't think it'd be important to mention to me that I had a fucking nude photo that I didn't know about?!" I yelled. "Did you look at it?!"

"No! I mean, yeah, obviously, but not longer than I needed too?!" It came out more like a question and I scoffed before angrily wiping the tears off my cheeks. "I fucking swear I deleted it!"

"Oh, you did? That's okay. I've got more."

Kai reached into her purse and pulled out a huge stack of pictures. My eyes widened as I reached out to grab them, but she threw them away from me before I could get a hold of them. They fluttered all over the bleachers and I panicked as random people began picking them up and passing them to their friends to see.

"Oh my god, bitch, are you fucking crazy?!" Cadence yelled as she tried to collect some of the pictures quickly. It was too late though. People were already looking at them, judging them, talking about them, and pointing at me as they did it.

"Maybe next time you'll listen to me." She giggled, getting in Billie's face. "And maybe next time you'll think twice before rejecting me. Why would you do that anyway? I'm better looking than you, smarter than you—I don't even know why I wanted you. You're pathetic." She spat, staring at me. "And, btw, you can find that picture on Facebook too. Just in case all the pictures I printed are gone by the time you start looking for them."

"Fucking bitch!" Billie screamed before throwing a punch at Kai. After the first one, they just kept coming. Eventually, Billie was on top of Kai punching the hell out of her as kids crowded around them, shouting and recording. Cadence ran to get Billie off of her, but she made sure to step all over Kai before actually pulling Billie off.

I shook my head and ran down the bleachers as fast as I could. I'd never been so pissed off about not having an actual driver's license until now.
