Don't Hug Me I'm Scared {Billie Eilish}
Dahlia's POV
************
"Bea? The Bea from the party?!" Cadence questioned. I stabbed my watermelon and shoved some into my mouth before looking toward Billie's table. There she fucking is, sitting on top of it as she usually does, but this time Bea is sitting on top of it as well, right next to her. They're both laughing with their large group of friends.
"Yep." I mumbled before shoving another piece into my mouth.
"Well, bitch, what the fuck? Why aren't you over there dragging her ass? Get that bitch away from your bitch before I do it, bitch."
"Cadence, Billie and I have not been together for a whole damn week yet. I don't wanna scare her away by acting like some clingy, jealous little bitch. She told me Bea is like the first friend she's ever had." I pouted as I stared at them. "Honestly, she's really cool and I totally get why Billie wants to be friends with her."
"Excuse me?"
"She's a really interesting person, sis." I shrugged. I can't even fucking deny it, that girl is really cool and I really do enjoy her...I'm just a little jealous of her.
"She really is an interesting person, sis." Cadence mocked, making an ugly face. "An interesting person who slept with your girlfriend."
"Who wasn't my girlfriend at the time of that happening." I sighed. "I still talk to Kai and Billie doesn't say anything about that. I'm not gonna make a big deal about this. Bea honestly doesn't seem like she's into Billie at all, and actually, when they came over last night she spent a good bit talking about some girl she's thinking about asking out soon."
"I don't know, bro." She sighed and shook her head. "It couldn't be me, but you do you."
I laughed at that. "Trust me, I really don't think I have to worry about her...That doesn't make me any less jealous. Billie really likes her and she's so proud of her new little friend." I rolled my eyes as I spoke in a childish voice and then let out a small laugh. I'm being fucking ridiculous. "I'm really boring compared to her. Hell, Billie's boring compared to her. Do you know how fucking cool you have to be to make Billie seem boring?"
Cadence shrugged before flicking a piece of popcorn at Caden, who'd been silent this whole time. He hasn't even eaten any of his food, and he didn't get extra today. I sent Cadence a look and she shook her head at me.
She told me that they made up after their argument, but he's still down. I think it's just that he's upset about what almost happened to her. Plus, he and Julian were friends before all this. I know this has to be hard for him.
I was going to say something to him, but I was cut off by loud laughter coming from Billie's table. Everyone over there was cackling at something Bea had said.
"Yeah, she's really funny." I muttered to Cadence.
"The bitch looks haha hilarious, alright." She grumbled. "...Damn, she's pretty."
"Mhm."
I stabbed my watermelon once again and sighed as the juice got all over my white shirt. I kept eating, not giving a shit.
"Did Billie ask you to the dance?"
"Nope." I droned. "It sucks. I really liked that damn dress I saw."
"Maybe she's waiting for you to ask her? Sadie Hawkins is girls ask guys and she's like the guy in the relationship, right? So shouldn't you ask her?"
I pursed my lips as I thought about it for a moment. She kinda has a point...But then again no she doesn't.
"There is no guy in this lesbian ass relationship. That's the whole point."
"I'm just saying, if either of you were to sprout a dick tomorrow it'd totally be Billie. She's got big pussy energy, big dick energy, big titty energy, bigâ"
"Okay, bitch, damn!" I glared at her. "Do you have a crush on my girl or something?"
"Who the hell doesn't?" That was Caden's contribution. I sighed and Cadence shrugged. "I like dick, but like I said, if anyone's gonna sprout a dick randomly it's gonna be her, and when that day comes..."
"I'm not asking her to the dance." I changed the subject, my voice sharp and my eyes still narrowed. "Billie would laugh in my fucking face."
"Not gonna lie, I could see that..." She smirked. "But she'd also probably still say yes. You just need to let her know you wanna go. Just mention it or something."
"How do I bring it up without being obvious?"
"Tell her you have to go dress shopping for the dance with me tomorrow after you hang out with Caden...Because, like, you actually do..."
I groaned.
I honestly don't think we're gonna end up going to the dance. It's literally next Friday and I just feel like if she doesn't ask by like...today...It's probably not gonna happen.
"I'll do that, but if she doesn't say anythingâ"
"I think you should ask her, D. But make it special and shit. Maybe ask her this weekend?" Caden cut in. I stared at him for a moment.
I do wanna go pretty badly...But I've never asked someone to a dance before and I'm terrified that she'll reject me. What if she gets mad I asked and dumps me? What if she gets so mad she moves into a forest, never to be seen again? That's worst case scenario but, I guess it's possible.
But I wanna go so bad and I think it'd be a lot of fun. Plus, I think she'd look really hot all dressed up.
"We'll see." I mumbled.
***
"I'm not gonna be at school Thursday because I'm finally going to get my license!" I rolled my eyes at myself. It's about fucking time.
"I'll miss you," Billie pouted, putting on her best baby voice. I smirked at her. "I know."
"Who am I gonna cheat off of now? Thursday is that stupid ass health quizâ"
"Bitch, we both would've failed if you were gonna cheat off of my paper." I laughed. It got quiet again and I smiled as Billie reached over and grabbed my hand.
I playfully tried to snatch my hand away, but she grabbed it again and held it firmly. I sighed a little as I stared out the window. I wish I could spend the rest of the day with her, but she's just driving me home. I'm spending time with Cora today, and I'm excited to hang with my little sister, but damn I really wish I could just cancel that and be with Billie instead.
"What are you gonna be up to tomorrow?" I asked slyly. Now is my chance to mention the dance. My heart speeds up at the thought of it. What if she catches on to what I'm doing and realizes I wanna go?
"Bullying Finneas."
I giggled and shook my head at her. "Stop being so mean to him. He's a sweetheart."
"To you." She said loudly.
"I'm hanging out with Caden and then dress shopping with Cadence."
"Dress shopping?" She smirked, raising a brow. I nodded. "Yeah, she's going to the Sadie Hawkins dance so, I'm helping her pick out a dress...For the dance."
"Nice."
I nodded and smiled before turning to look out of the window again, mentally throwing a fit. That was my confirmation that she's not asking me to go. If she was, she would've done it then.
I bet some other bitch is staring at my dream dress right now. Fuck.
When we pulled into my driveway I let out a small groan before turning to look at Billie who was already staring at me.
"Stay here and make out with me." She whined.
"Don't tempt me." I laughed before unbuckling my seatbelt. It was a hard task, trying to get it off when she refused to let go of my hand, but I managed. I slid out of the car, only to be yanked back in a second later. I fell clumsily over the seat, half into Billie's lap. She smiled as she looked down at me and then leaned down to give me a kiss.
Her offer to stay and make out really did sound tempting. She's a good fucking kisser, I know that.
I was just getting into it when she pulled away and helped me sit up straight again. "You'd better get to your sister." She smirked.
I sighed and flipped her off before hopping out of the car again. "I'm gonna beat your ass one of these days, Pirate."
She cringed at the name and shook her head at me. "I'd fucking love that, Delilah."
