Don't Hug Me I'm Scared {Billie Eilish}
Dahlia's POV
************
I stared at myself in the mirror, honestly feeling myself. I think I look pretty good. I'd taken the time to straighten my hair and do my makeup, a nice smokey eye, and a dark lip. My outfit is pretty simple but it's still really cute. A skin-tight black dress with an oversized dark denim jacket and chunky black sneakers.
I took about a hundred selfies and mirror pics before finally putting my phone in my purse and opening my door. I practically ran down the stairs, excitement coursing through my veins as I did. Parties aren't really my thing and I've honestly only been to one in my whole life, but I'm kinda happy I agreed to go. It's something different for me and who knows? I might just enjoy it.
Plus, Billie.
My phone buzzed and her name popped up on the screen. I grinned as I opened up her message.
Bilboa:
We're gonna have a lot of fun tonight, dude. See you soon.
We'd been texting on and off all day and it was just making me even more excited to see her.
"I'm gone!" I yelled quickly before opening the door and stepping outside. I jogged over to the twins' house and opened the back door of Caden's car, sliding in quickly.
"I was gonna drive over to your house." He chuckled, shaking his head at me.
"Well, now there's no need! Let's get this show on the road dude!"
"Somebody's eager to see their girlfriend." Cadence giggled.
I didn't bother replying. I couldn't deny I was excited to see Billie.
The drive to the party was a short one, filled with the sound of Caden and Cadence bickering over the music. When we pulled up to the large house, I could hear the loud music and smell the weed before we'd even opened the car doors. My excitement turned into nerves quickly, but it was too late to go back now.
"My phones gonna be on and in my hand all night. If either of you need anything, don't be afraid to call." Caden told us sternly. "And don't fucking go anywhere without telling me first."
"Okay, dad, can we go in now?" Cadence grumbled before hopping out of the car. Caden turned to me and narrowed his eyes at me.
"What?" I questioned.
"I'm not kidding, bro. You need anything you call me. Look, I'm getting wasted tonight but Cadence doesn't drink so whenever it's time to go she'll be driving us home. Don't drink too much. Your body isn't used to it. Trust me, two or three drinks and you'll already be falling all over the place."
I smiled softly at Caden before patting his shoulder. As annoying as his overprotectiveness could be at times, it was actually really sweet of him to be looking out for me like this. I'm glad I've got friends who genuinely care about me.
"I'm gonna be fine. Thanks, Cade." I leaned over to kiss his cheek and mess up his hair before jumping out and slamming the door behind me. I heard him yelling and let out a small laugh. He hated people touching his curls.
Cadence and I walked inside, our arms wrapped around each other's hip. I took in the scenery, my eyes widening as I realized just how big this house was. It honestly looked like a mansion.
Caden really hadn't been exaggerating either. People were piled on top of each other, making out and some even halfway undressed. I looked away from the living room and into the kitchen. Tons of drinks on the counter along with a few bongs andâa shit ton of snacks?! Were those nachos?
I guess I did make a good choice coming to this party.
"My phone is on too. Ring if you need me!" Cadence shouted before running off probably to find Julian. I was just about to text Billie when I felt an arm resting on my shoulder. I smiled as I looked at her.
Damn, she looked really fucking good.
She was wearing another all black outfit, but this time she was wearing Adidas shorts. Other than my clothes, it was actually the most revealing thing I'd ever seen her in.
"You look great!" I shouted over the music. She lead me over to the kitchen, looking me up and down the way she always did, unashamed. "You're one to talk. Hottest girl in here, baby."
My cheeks flushed as I waved off her compliment and focused on the drinks, my brows furrowing as I read the names on all the bottles. "Never drank before?" She questioned knowingly. I shook my head. "You can start with a regular beer then. That's not too bad."
I agreed and grabbed a bottle, staring at it as I wondered how to open it. I didn't see a bottle opener anywhere and my teeth are too damn sensitive to open it. I thought back to how I'd seen people open beer bottles in all the movies and tried it that way. Billie laughed as she watched me try to get the top off with the edge of the counter.
After a few moments of me struggling, she took the bottle and opened it quickly, handing it back to me. I sighed as I let out a small, embarrassed laugh. "This is off to a great start." I muttered.
"It is." She said seriously. "Come on, it's a little calmer in the upstairs den."
Upstairs den? What the actual fuck? Was this Beyoncé's house or something? Who has an upstairs den?
I nodded and allowed her to grab my hand and lead me up the stairs and into the den. There were still a shit ton of people, but most of them weren't making out. She lead me over to the large couch where most of the people were gathered and shooed a girl away so we could sit.
"You've gotta stop doing that." I laughed. "It's rude."
"She'll live."
Billie sat down and pulled me down quickly as well. I was half on her lap to avoid being half on the random guy next to us' lap. I adjusted myself so I was more comfortable before turning to look at her. "So like...what now?"
She chuckled before grabbing my bottle and holding it up to my lips. She rubbed the edge of it along my bottom lip before looking into my eyes for a few seconds. "Open up, baby."
I did as told, practically hypnotized. The taste of the beer was honestly disgusting and it burned my throat going down, but I kinda liked it. Or maybe I just liked that I was drinking something that most other teenagers drink for fun. I love being included in shit.
Billie took the bottle away from me once I'd taken a few sips and then downed the rest. She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and grinned as I pouted. "That was mine." I informed her.
"You'll get more later. I don't want you getting too shitfaced too fast."
***
"Yes!" Everyone cheered as I licked Billie's stomach and then her neck before taking the lime out of her mouth with my own. I threw my arms up, proud of my accomplishment.
My first ever body shot. How amazing!
"Did I do good?" I slurred, wiggling my brows at Billie as she sat up and pushed her shirt back down. She hopped off the table and threw her arm around my shoulder as she always did, kissing my cheek and nodding. "You did awesome, Doe. Maybe even better than me."
I giggled at that before grabbing her hand and dragging her to the other room where I knew they were playing beer pong. I'm surprisingly good at it!
"No, no, no I can't play this stupid game again." Billie pouted. She is not good at beer pong. Not at all.
"BetterâYou got a better idea?" I questioned, tilting my head from side to side like a puppy would. I laughed loudly as my eyes blurred and unblurred over and over again.
"Yes I do," she smirked. "I'm gonna get you some water so you can sober up a little and then we're going to find your friends and get you home."
I thought for a second, frowning. "Doesn't sound better."
"You've had four drinks. You're probably gonna pass out soon." She laughed.
"So? Aren't you having fun?" I sulked. We'd only been here a couple hours and I hadn't been drinking nearly as much as everyone else. Everything was tame and chill the whole time I'd been here, probably because I was with Billie and she spent most of the night making sure I didn't do anything stupid and scaring off everyone who tried to talk to me. She really hadn't been lying about staying by my side the whole night.
I'm happy she stuck to her word and I got to spend the night with her, but I'm definitely not ready to go home yet. I never do anything fucking stupid or wild or crazy. I want to tonight. And I can't possibly do anything too stupid with only four drinks in me.
"I'm having a shit ton of fun, butâ"
"Dance with me, Billie, please?" We hadn't really danced all night so I figured this was the best way to stall.
She stared at me for a moment before letting out an exasperated sigh. "You know I can't say no when you look at me like that."
I squealed and grabbed her hand, dragging her out of the little room we were in and downstairs to the living room where everyone was dancing. The music was much louder down here and it made my head pound, but in a good way.
I'm not the worst dancer but I'm definitely not the best, and I'm pretty sure the dances I was doing were embarrassing as hell, but I didn't care. Nobody was paying attention to me besides Billie, and she was dancing way worse than me.
I shimmied my shoulders and 'twerked' the best I could before throwing my hands in the air and spinning around in circles. I tried to think back on how I'd seen people dancing in movies.
I smirked as I walked toward Billie and turned around, grinding on her. She stopped all her movements for a second before grabbing my hips and guiding them from side to side.
I felt so fucking great. Here I am at a party, my first real high school party, a little drunk, dancing on my crush. A girl. In public. It feels amazing! Just getting to be free and not think about shit but having fun.
"This is so great, Billie!" I turned around to face her, laughing at the disappointed look on her face as I stopped grinding on her. "I have to piss though."
I practically ran away from her before she could respond. Not only did I actually have to pee, but I also needed to find myself another drink and I knew she wouldn't let me do that if she was with me.
I climbed the stairs two at a time trying to find a bathroom. I knocked on a few doors before finally getting to the right one and walking in. I locked it behind me and sat down on the toilet, quickly relieving myself.
Once I finished I flushed the toilet and wiped my hands before unlocking the door and walking back out, only getting a few steps before somebody grabbed my arm and pulled me into a nearby room. I laughed loudly, fully expecting Billie or one of the twins but instead I saw Kai.
I remembered then that I was supposed to be talking to her. She hadn't sat by me on Friday either so I knew she was still mad.
"Kai!" I hugged her, causing her to spill some of her drink. She pushed me away, flipped some of her hair over her shoulder and then put a hand on her hip. "So, are you with that tramp now?" She narrowed her eyes. I stared at her blankly and she sighed. "Billie."
"Oh!" I reached over to grab her cup and drank the rest of what was in it. She scoffed as I handed the empty cup back. "I-I'm not with her."
"Well, then why has she been all over you this entire night? Why's she been following you around like a lost fucking puppy?"
"She'sâUghâprotecting me?" I giggled as I leaned back against the door.
"From what, the fucking Cookie Monster?" Kai grumbled before throwing her cup down and walking toward me. "She interrupted something very important the other day. When exactly are you gonna make that up to me?"
"I sh-should get back to Billie..." I drifted off as I stared at Kai. Her dress was tight, short, and pretty fucking revealing. I'd be lying if I said she didn't look attractive as shit.
To be honest, I don't want to do anything with Kai though. I mean, I'd love to, but also I'd rather it was Billie. But Billie, as much as she flirts, hasn't made any move on me and she obviously doesn't want me. Here Kai is asking me to fuck her. Why should I say no?
"She can wait a few minutes." I shrugged before pushing her toward the bed.
