Chapter 38

Things have been so good for these past weeks. Arjun and I have become more close.

It's Christmas time. Even though we don't actually celebrate it like how people do, we are going on a mini vacation to god knows where. The whole family actually and only Sonia and I don't know.

What is it with this family and surprises?

This time even though I wanted to pack my bag, end moment there was some emergency work and I had to unwillingly tell the two ladies to pack my bag and I know what they'll do that's why I told Arjun to pack some of my dresses with his.

But, there exists a twist this time which Sonia has to enjoy because I'm planning something. We're going to travel in our cars. Mom and dad will take one and we will take one.

It was 4 in the morning when we all left. Sonia and I were literally mumbling curses as we sat in the back seat. Mom said she could take Natasha with her. I was glaring at Arjun while he smiled as he spoke with Roshan while he held Aryan.

"Look at them, they seem so cheerful", Sonia grumbled before sitting in the car. I just kept glaring at him even when he turned to look at me. I sat in the car and retrieved my travelling pillow from the back seat and tired to sleep. The car we were taking was an SUV so the back seat was empty while the middle seat was occupied by us both and Arjun was driving while Roshan sat in the passenger seat.

"Aren't you a ball of sunshine?", Arjun cheekily asked me.

"Don't tempt me to strangle you", I said.

"Come on Bhabi, we all know you wouldn't do it and we all know why", Roshan chimed and I chucked my pillow at him.

"Grasshole!"

"Can y'all shut up?", Sonia grumbled.

"Look at that, my wife is a sunshine too!"

"Shut up and let me sleep or else you'll take the sofa!"

That shut Roshan immediately and I let out a small chuckle before getting comfortable and letting sleep overcome me.

"Anvi!", I heard as someone shook me.

"Let me sleep", I whined and swatted the hand away.

"Baby, wake up, let's get you something to eat", I heard him try once again.

"If you don't stop, I will bite you finger", I threatened and I heard a few chuckles but I ignored it and tried to sleep.

"Fine then don't say I didn't warn you", I heard him say as he let out a sigh. I smiled after realising that now they are going to leave me alone to sleep. Finally!

Just then arms wrapped around me and I was lifted up.

"Put me down you caveman!"

"No, I like it when you're in my arms"

"Arjun, my good for nothing husband, put me down, atleast you should have given me a warning"

"I did but you were to busy enjoying your sleep"

"Arjun!", I whined.

"Baby!", He copied my tone.

"Fine then!", I said and wrapped my arms around his neck and placed a kiss on his neck that made him stop dead in his tracks. He turned to look at me, his eyes clearly warning me to not do anything. He loosened his hold around me and I quickly jumped out of his hold.

I adjusted my hair a little whit my hands just to make it look less like a nest. Then I walked into the restaurant. Arjun still stood there opening and closing his mouth like a fish. I just chuckled as I sat with the others.

He quickly composed himself and came inside and sat next to Roshan because I was sitting between mom and Sonia. All of us ordered breakfast and quickly ate it before moving on with the journey.

This time Roshan was driving and Sonia was sitting in the passenger seat. Aryan was placed in his car seat and I was sitting in the back seat while Arjun sat next to Aryan. I plugged in my ear phones and enjoy started listening to some music as I watched the scenery pass. It was pretty foggy considering the fact that it was winter and this area was pretty cold.

I didn't even realise that I had fallen asleep but when I woke up, my head was in Arjun's lap and he was caressing my hair as he spoke with Roshan and Sonia.

I honestly didn't know why but car rides usually make me sleepy. And the lazy ass I am, I prioritise sleep and food so it's either eating or sleeping.

It was around 8:30 in the night when we reached our destination. It was a hill station. My teeth were chattering as I shivered. Natasha was laughing at me. Lucky for her, she wore a thick jacket while I didn't even bother wearing a jacket in the morning because I was too busy cursing Arjun.

I soon realized that Arjun also hadn't worn a jacket. Poor me, otherwise I would have asked him for his jacket and he would have given it to me.

"Serves you both right! I told Arjun to wear a jacket but he didn't, now come hear and take this shawl that I have, the other winter thermals are in the bag so adjust with this shawl", mom said, trying to act serious but I couldn't help but notice the sheepish smile. She threw the shawl which Arjun happily caught in his hand and them draped it over both of us, hugging my body closer to his. I punched him but he just ignored me and kissed my cheek and just then I heard the click of the camera.

"Mom!", I whined and hit my face in his chest which was covered by the shawl. Then I heard the sound of footsteps approaching us.

"The luggage will be sent in the rooms, Roshan and family your room is 121, Arjun and Tanu yours is 120 and ours is 119, now let's just go and eat something before we call it a night", dad said and we walked over to the buffet and started eating.

After eating a lot of pasta, pizza slices and pastries we finally returned to our room.

Hi guys! So I'm back with another update. Sorry couldn't update the other two days. It was like I face a writer's block on Wednesday and Thursday because I didn't know what to write and yesterday, I wanted to draw something so I focused on that and I finished reading one of my book and today I finally wrote something.

So here's a cute doggie picture I found today and it is of a dog who had an injury and so one of its ear had to be chopped of and the other ear somehow travelled to the top of his head and now he is the unicorn dog❤️😍
