Chapter 42

Christmas went really well, with all of us gifting each other presents. We danced during the evening party held by the resort. Sonia also did get drunk but before she could do something stupid, Roshan was quick enough to take her to their room, because apparently, she wanted to strip and dance for them. I was laughing my ass off. Somebody had spiked her drink. Luckily, her kids were with mom and dad as they didn't want to join the party so volunteered to take charge of the kids.

Sonia had even dared us both to kiss under the mistletoe. I was hesitant but Arjun had that goofy smile on his face before he had dragged me under the mistletoe and kissed me, but it was merely longer than a peck but shorter than an exact kiss. But, to be fair, I even dared Roshan and just like his brother, he dragged his wife and kissed her.

It was an amazing night. But, I precisely didn't open Sonia's gift because I knew the obsession she had with gifting me skimpy outfits. But this time, I gifted her something like that too.

The next day when she had woken up, she was glaring at me for the amazing gift I had given her, but Roshan was rolling on the floor as he laughed.

Roshan gave me a novel which was released a week ago, that too with the sign of the author. God bless his soul. Sonia should learn something from him.

Mom and dad gave us small frames. One for Roshan and family which had a collage of their family. One for us, consisting of our pictures. It was an amazing gift.

As for my husband, he gifted me a limited edition watch which has a small message written on the back.

I'm not good with gifts, so I just gave him a small locket. It had our initials on it. I liked it. I know it was nothing when compared to the gift he had given me.

"Even though I know you're thinking that your gift is nothing as compared to mine, I must tell you this, it's an amazing gift Anvi, and I'm going to wear it every time from now on", I remember him telling me and he had immediately clasped it around his neck.

Today is New Years Eve. The resort was going to take us hiking and we're going to stay a night on the site with bonfires and fireworks.

Mom and dad had wanted to stay behind, wanting to give their children some alone time with their partners. Once again, they had volunteered to take care of kids. Even though Sonia was hesitant on leaving Aryan alone, mom had convinced her. But I must say, it must have taken a lot to convince that stubborn ass human. She gave mom all the essentials, mom would need.

"Mom, don't worry, I'll take care of my baby brother as well", Natasha had told Sonia. My heart warmed as the little girl said those words. Sibling love.

Now it's been an hour since we've all been walking up the hill. Won't say I'm enjoying it.

"Well aren't you a ball of sunshine today", Arjun teased me as I mumbled cuss words.

"Shut up!", I grumbled and increased my pace joining Sonia who was no better than me. She was cussing as well. Oh how we love hiking. For today, mom had packed a dress for us. They were pretty decent for a cold night even though they weren't the best.

Tanvi wore the yellow one and Sonia wore the pink one.

Sonia was apparently pissed at how a group of teenage girls would just keep staring at her husband and her husband would smile at them, adding fuel to the fire that was starting to form in Sonia. Roshan was just chuckling all the way until she just fastened her pace.

Well, I couldn't deny I didn't feel the same because they gawked at my husband as well. As soon as I fastened my pace, I realised the girls were coming closer but then I turned around and narrowed my eyes at them before gesturing that I'd slit their throats if they even moved more closer than they already were. They looked alarmed and then ran away to gawk at someone else.

"Awee baby, if it makes you feel better, I have my eyes only at you", Roshan said as he slung an arm around Sonia, she just shrugged his hand off. God! They're so cute. I secretly click a picture.

"Jealousy truly suits you", a voice whispered near me which made me jump due to the suddenness.

I just ignored him and continued to admire the scenery. Oh the long tree that looked so lifeless. The leaves swayed with the cool air.

"Wai---Roshan!",Sonia squealed as she was picked up in bridal style. I quickly clicked a few more shots before putting my phone in my pocket and plugging in my earphones.

"They're so cute", I said absent mindedly as I walked behind them as I hummed the lyrics of the song.

I honestly can't even walk properly, because while I was trying to multitask by listening to the song and walk. My clumsy self, slipped on something and was about to fall if it wasn't for Arjun who wrapped his arm around my body, saving me from the fall on the right time.

"Th-thanks", I said, a little flushed.

"Oh baby, don't mention, I'll always be there to pick you up whenever you fall", he said.

"Aren't they cute?", Sonia squealed as she clicked pictures.

"Not more than us babe", Roshan said.

"Come on Roshan, don't be jealous of us", Arjun commented as he walked with me, keeping an arm around my waist just to make sure I wouldn't fall again.

I honestly wasn't complaining since I enjoyed his warm body heat.

After a long time we were finally at the peak. Well, it was worth the hardwork because the view was honestly mesmerising.

"Wow!", Sonia and I whispered at the same time.

"Are you both done? Because if so then please be generous and help us set the tents!", Roshan grumbled.

"Oh no honey, you were enjoying the attention those girls were giving you right? You too Arjun! So now be good boys and do this all on your own!", Sonia said glaring at them.

"Come on baby! I thought we were over that!"

"No! We're not over that", Sonia shouted and stomped her feet. I watched with an amused smile. Wow! This girl surely is something.

"Anvi, you'll help me?"

"No, she's not gonna help you, isn't that right Tanvi?"

"I- Urmm... You see-"

"There, you have it, she won't help you!"

"She didn't even say anything", Arjun said throwing his hands in the air.

"Well, she stuttered and that enough", she said with narrowed eyes before we both turned and enjoyed the view.

"Ok then, we'll ask those girl only for help"

"Yes, I'm sure they'll be willing to help us"

We both looked at each other and turned around to see them sheepishly walk backwards.

"Oh no you don't!"

"Over my dead body Arjun!"

Both of us said at the same time and we both ran off to catch those two idiots before pulling them by their ears and getting them to our spots.

"Do this on your own, or else we will ask some hot guy to do it only for us and leave your ass to freeze the whole night", Sonia said as she glared at them.

"Fine!", Roshan said and Arjun reluctantly helped his set the both the tents.

Finally when they were done, they dramatically walked towards where we sat.

"Oh god! I think I'm going to die", Roshan said as he slumped in Sonia's lap.

"Drama queen"

"You know you love this drama queen, baby", Roshan said cockily. Just how does he go from all this drama queen to cocky.

"Ow! I think one of my finger broke", Arjun said as he shook his head.

"It's ok, Tanvi will kiss it", Sonia said as she played with Roshan's hair.

"Oh! I like the idea", Arjun said and moved his finger so it was in front of my face. Being the good human I am, I gave a peck on his finger.

"Oh shut up! You know you wanted to kiss it", my inner voice said. I ignored it as usual.

"Dinner's served", one of the resort guy yelled and we all made our way to that area.

While we walked, Arjun whispered something in my ears that cause me to halt.

"My lips hurt! Will you kiss them better!", He whispered and I just shoved him as I slapped his chest.

"Shut up!"

"Come on baby"

"Shut up!"

"Oh well, if you don't, I will"

"Wh-what do you me-", he pecked me before I could even finish the sentence which caused me to blush.

"Cute!", He gushed at my red face, which just caused it to go more red.

"Cut it you too, or else the food will be finished", Sonia said with a smirk.
