Chapter 55

Arjun's P.O.V.

I woke up with a jolt when I heard the room door slam open. I felt a weight on my chest and realised that Anvi was still sleeping.

I heard the snap of a camera and without even looking up I knew it was my family. My mom especially.

"Hi mom", I said.

"Hi", she said softly as she smiled at Anvi.

"She's finally asleep?", Yashvi said as she stared at her best friend.

"Oh hi Arjun, was just here for a checkup and thought we'd give you a visit", Sanjay said as he draped an arm around Yashvi and pulled her close.

I felt Tanvi shift a little and she nuzzled her head in my chest feeling comfortable.

"How are you feeling?", Mom asked me as she sat in the chair.

"I'm feeling good mom", I said with a smile.

"Wait, what happened to my daughter?", Dad said.

"Look at that not even greeting your son", I said as I shook my head.

"Oh shut up and tell me what happened to her"

"Well, she fainted yesterday, it was the lack of nutrients and rest", I said as I caressed her hair.

"I knew it, I told this girl to eat, to rest but she didn't listen to me", mom said as she pouted.

"It's ok, now that I'm awake, I'll take care of her"

"That we know you will", Sanjay said as he smiled at me.

"She was a wreck without you, but now that you're awake I'm sure you'll take care of her", Yashvi said and then the couple left the room as they were getting late for something.

"Well, the doctor said that they'll discharge you today, so we can take you home today", mom said.

"Oh you're awake", dad said as he stared at Tanvi with a smirk.

"Looked like you had a good night sleep", dad said cheekily.

"Dad!", She whined and hid her face in my chest.

"Oh shut up", mom said.

After chatting for some time, with Anvi still in my arms, mom and dad left promising to come in the afternoon to pick us up.

"Hi baby", I said.

"Hello, good morning", she said cutely.

"Slept nicely?", I asked her as I caressed her face.

"Yeah, it's the most I've slept in a whole week", she said.

"Don't mention it", I grumbled. It still hurt to know that she hadn't slept properly or eaten anything since my accident.

"I love you Arjun", she said.

"I love you too baby", I said as I hugged her body closer to mine and kissed her head.

"Your stubble tickles", she said as she giggled.

"Really?", I asked as I started rubbing my face on hers.

"Stop", she whined as she laughed.

Tanvi's P.O.V.

"Well, Mrs. Malhotra as we have shown, dress the wounds on the time to avoid any infection. He can only wash himself after a week considering the fact that half of his wounds are still healing, your hand will take some some more time to heal", the doctor said and then we all left the hospital.

After that we drove home and I helped him up in the room and after feeding him the medicines, I let him sleep.

"Anvi, that's it I can't eat more", he whined.

"Arjun, just three more bites and then only can I give the medicines", I said. It's been two days since he was discharged. He been a total baby since then. Not eating properly because apparently the food didn't taste nice for him.

"Ok fine", he said and opened his mouth as I fed him the food. What can I say? It was boiled food, nobody would like it but he had to eat it.

"I also have to dress your wounds", I mentioned.

After he was done eating, I kept the vessels to the side and forced him to take those bitter medicines. All the while he complained like a five year old to not take the medicines.

"Shut up and take the medicines or no kisses", I warned and chuckled at my threat.

"Ok I'll take the medicines", and he gulped the medicines.

After that I got the first aid kit put and went ahead with dressing the wounds. Today was the first time after two days we were supposed to do it. As I started removing the bandage, my hands shook. After removing the first bandage, I just stared at this injury. Fifteen stitches on his back. Tears welled in my eyes as I stared at him.

"Baby, you aren't supposed to stare at it", he joked.

"I'll do it", I sniffled as I started applying the antiseptic cream and put a bandage around it. Then as he turned around, I undresses the wound on his chest.

"Anvi", he said softly as he lifted my chin up.

"What is it? Why do you have tears in your eyes?"

"It's nothing", I said as I went ahead to wipe them but he beat me to it.

"These injuries don't hurt anymore baby, they don't hurt at all"

"B-but--"

"Anvi, I'm okay", he said as he held my face in his hands.

"Ok", I said and went ahead to redress that wound.

After I was done, I washed my hands and my face and changed into something comfortable and went to the kitchen to get milk for him. As mom had told, milk will help him sleep better.

"Drink this Arjun"

He took a sip and immediately made faces.

"What?"

"You forgot to put sugar in this", he said with an adorable pout.

"What? Kuch bhi, I know I put sugar in this"

"Well, taste it!", He said as he offered me the glass. I took a sip and cringed at the taste of milk but gulped it down. I only drink milk once in a day that too without sugar and this one was with sugar.

"It has sugar!", I scolded as I handed the glass back to him.

"W-what?", He said as he took a sip from where I took a sip. We just kissed each other indirectly.

"Oh now it tastes sweet", he said cheekily before he drank the milk. Realisation hit me and I gasped.

Sneaky little bitch.

"Tanvi", I ignored him.

"Pstt.. Tanvi"

"Anvi"

"Baby"

"Ok ignore me but don't forget to give me the kisses now"

"What?"

"You said you would kiss me if I finish that bland food"

"I didn't say anything like that"

"Please, just one kiss"

"Are you a five year old?"

"Yes, if being a five year old means I'm getting a kiss then yes I am a five year old"

"Hayeee rabba", I said as I face palmed myself. I pecked his cheeks and ran out of the room with the glass as I started laughing.

I'm back with another update. I couldn't update yesterday because I was very sad to hear that another star had walked away from earth. Two actors in two days was too much for me.💔

Anyways, I wrote another little something:
