Kalli's POV

"What would you ask of me in return?"

"I will ask of two things. The first is you must have children. I ask this of all your friends really. I want your offspring to lead in an unstoppable dragon army. With Zicko's blood, your children will be powerful and the gods will be able to control the forces who corrupt the Earth. And second,  you will become the Dragon ambassador so that way the dark clans can be eradicated."

I felt as if she was giving us a light task considering all she was doing for us.

"Then I accept. I chose to return with Zicko."

I feel him squeeze me close to him. His grip is a bit tight but I gain warmth from the embrace. Io smiles and snaps her fingers. I see my body dissipate before my eyes and Zicko sees it as well. He was not dissolving though.

"Why am I not going back?"

He starts to freak out and I miss out on what happens next. When I wake up I come to find that I am in my bed in the treehouse. I sigh in relief that I didn't wake up in the grave. I walk out of the room and run into Maddie. She gasps and brings me in for a spine crushing hug.

"I have missed you so much. But how is it possible that you came back?"

"That is a story for a later time. Do you know where Zicko is?"

"He always stays at your grave so that is where he is."

"Where did you bury me?"

"The only place he wanted was where we all first met."

My heart lurches. That day was special to him as well? I run out of the main house and down the countless swirling stairs until I burst through the door at the bottom. I run and run to the point that I think I will collapse from lack of oxygen. Finally I reach the small lagoon where we met and I look around for him. I see a tree a little further away from the water's edge and see Zicko curled up. I walk over to his still form and kneel down to wake him. I put my hand on his arm and he snaps awake. He looks around a little disoriented from his dream. When he sees me he lets out a breath and falls towards me. I wrap my arms around his shoulders as he shakes with pent up pain and grief. I hear his cries and the cut me deeper than any sword could.

"I'm so glad that dream was real. I thought it was some cruel joke and I would never see you again. Do you know how lost I have been without you?"

"I don't really remember what happened but I'm glad I can be with you once again."

"Promise me to never leave me again. If you do I will follow you without a second thought. I cannot handle that a second time. I don't even want you to go anywhere without me."

I know he was scared pretty badly but I need my independence every once in a while. But for now I will let him be protective. He pulls away to look at me. I see that he has lost a lot of weight and his eyes are bloodshot. I want to ease his suffering so I take his hand and walk back toward the treehouse. He seems confused but offers no resistance. When we reach the top of the treehouse I walk to our private room. Since Maddie and Enway mated they got their own room that was separate from the main house. I know that all the couples have one so I walk to ours. I find the smaller cabin type room with our names on it and walk inside. They were fully furbished and were brand new since the guys built them after we moved in.

"Why are we in here?"

"Because we need our privacy for a few days. I want to be alone with you and no one else. We need time to be together after the incident."

He smiles and I stop. He looks younger somehow, almost as if he let go of all that was on his mind. I continued to drag him behind me until we were in the bathroom. He lifted his eyebrows suspiciously. I know that I died in my bathroom but there were other things that I had in store than remembering the tragic past.

"Why are we in here?"

"Well I thought you needed a shower and so do I. After we will complete the mating because I will not wait another minute to have you as mine."

He blushes slightly at the direction of my thoughts. I let go of his hand to turn the shower on. I turn around and stare at him. He looks a little uneasy with how bold I am. Although I want to comfort him I know the only way to help him through his trauma is to act like I never left him.

"Are you sure about this? To be my mate means that you are mine forever. I will know everything you feel and I will be possessive as hell. Can you deal with that?"

"Yep. Now the water is warm so lets get in."

I didn't want to hesitate anymore. He was my heart and I already left him before I had the chance to be mated to him. Now I am determined to keep him as mine forever. No longer will I wait. I grab the hem of my shirt and lift it over my head. I hear his shocked gasp and smile. He thought I was bluffing. Next I unbutton my pants and slide them off. He is still standing there with a dumbfounded look on his face.

"Is this the first time you've seen a woman naked?"

"Y-yes."

Now that is surprising.

"Why?"

"I am to remain pure for my mate. All of us are to be that way. I didn't care to see anyone else but my mate."

I have never known a man to be like him. For him to be pure is shocking since no one has those morals anymore. I'm glad he is mine and I want him even more knowing this. I turn and walk into the shower. Once I'm inside I shuck my underwear and toss them over the top. I hear a growl and a sound like clothing being torn. Next thing I know I'm pushed up on the fucking cold tile and am lip locked with Zicko. Tonight we would be mated and I couldn't wait.

I know it's been a long time but I have finally finished another chapter. The much awaited mating between Kalli and Zicko! Once again thank you to everyone who reads my story. I truly love your feedback and all the votes. I will continue to write but I will have more time after next week to put out more chapters. Until then my chapters will probably be short.
