Chapter 37 ~ Last Chapter
Taylor's Journey (BWWM) ~Interracial~
Y'all gonna hate me! Lol
Enjoy!
"Whatcha lookin' for?" Kevin, Jeremy's brother, asked me while walking more into the room.
I ignored his tempting behavior and continued looking through Jeremy's belongings. "The remote."
She watched as he walked over towards the night stand, opening it and digging through it before throwing the remote towards her.
"Thanks." She said smiling at him before go back over to Chase and turning on the TV. She turned away from him hoping he'll get the clue that she didn't want to be bothered, but he didn't catch it.
She felt the bed dip and turned to see Kevin sitting on the bed, staring at Chase.
"I never thought Jeremy would be the first to have kids." He said playing with Chase's foot. "We thought it would be Carly."
"Hmm." Taylor hummed, not to interested in this conversation.
"You're probably wondering why I'm up here." Kevin said, chuckling.
'Or how you unlocked that damn door.' Taylor thought. She just smiled at him.
"We all want you to come back down stairs," Kevin started, which immediately got Taylor's attention. "My father would like to apologize for my mothers behavior."
"Why can't your mother apologize for herself?" Taylor asked.
"She has a very high ego and feels she's too good to apologize to you." Kevin said, rolling his eyes at the thought of his mother. "I would like to apologize for being disrespectful towards you earlier."
Taylor smiled at him. "You're forgiven and thank you."
"You're very nice, Taylor." They sat in silence for awhile.
"Why are you so mean to Jeremy?" Taylor asked boldly.
"He's mean to me too." Kevin playfully said.
"Jeremy said you've bullied him every since y'all were kids."
Kevin chuckled. "We've just never really gotten alone." He paused. "He's done some cruel things to me and I've done some awful things back. We just have that relationship where we fight."
"What cruel things has he done to you?" Taylor asked.
Kevin took in a breath. "I remember in highschool, I was a senior, Jeremy was a freshman. I use to date this girl who I really liked. Like a lot, almost love. Afterschool, we had planned to watch movies at my house that day, but I had track practice, so I told her to just go to my place and wait in my room." He dry laughed before continuing the story. "Long story short, I found Jeremy fucking her in my bed."
Taylor eyes widen, she couldn't believe Jeremy would do something like that. Kevin saw the look on her face and turned towards her.
"The thing that got me was that he didn't stop. Not even try to get off of her when he realized I was there."
"Damn. I'm sorry to hear that." Taylor said, she would have to ask Jeremy about this later. "What did you do?"
"I chased his naked ass around the house until I caught him." Kevin laughed at the memory. "It doesn't bother me anymore, but I'm just letting you know so you can see the type of person Jeremy really is."
"Thanks for telling me." Taylor said, thinking. That was such a long time ago. Jeremy should've outgrown that immaturity.
"So, are you going to come back down? You didn't finish your food, so you must be starving."
Taylor glanced back at Chase. "I would, but Chase is already asleep and if he wakes up he will not go back to sleep and I don't want to leave him here by himself."
Kevin looked hurt. "I understand." He stood and began walking out the door.
Taylor prayed he wouldn't turn around but she thought to soon. He quickly turned around with an excited smile on his face.
"I'll just bring Father up here."
~*~
Taylor heard the heavy footsteps of Kevin and Gregory before she heard them come through the door.
"Hello again, Taylor." Gregory said holding his hand out towards Taylor. She happily took it, thinking about how white people had such soft hands.
"My son here has informed me that you won't be coming back down to the dinner, because of baby Chase." He said, gesturing towards Kevin.
Taylor nodded. "Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm pretty sure the food was delicious."
"It certainly was." Gregory said sitting down in a chair. "If you like, we can have the chefs toss something together of your liking for you. You must be starving."
Taylor smiled happily. "That would great."
"What would you like?"
Taylor thought for a moment. She could really go for some fried chicken, but after that comment from Evanly she didn't want to bring fried chicken up anymore.
"I would love some pizza."
"Kevin, would you mind telling the chefs to prepare the best pizza." Gregory said to his son.
"Yes sir." After saying that he left closing the door behind him.
"How have you been, Taylor, with the baby and all?" Gregory asked.
"It's been stressful and tiring."
"Well if you want, I would be happy to babysit." Gregory said, smiling while looking at Chase.
"I would love that, but I'd have to check with Jeremy first." Taylor said.
"Chase is your child too, Taylor, you shouldn't have to ask permission." Gregory said. "I know Jeremy can be a little overprotective, but you have to stand up for yourself."
Taylor laughed. "I know. I just want to make sure we both agree what to do with Chase. Besides that would upset Jeremy if I agreed behind his back."
"In my twenty plus years of raising him, I've only seen Jeremy upset once, so trust me, he won't be upset with you. Maybe angry."
Taylor was shocked. "You've only seen him be upset once?"
Gregory nodded.
"Why was he upset?"
"It's a long story," Gregory glanced at his watch. "But we have time. As you know most of my children often get what they want. I spoil them because it pleases me to see them happy. Jeremy has always been the one to never want anything, up until now with these damn cars, but one day when he was around 5 years old he asked for a puppy. A puppy of his own that no one could touch, play, or even look at."
Taylor laughed at Jeremy's possessiveness.
"Jeremy would play with this dog everyday and keep him locked up in his room. Till this day, I still believe that was his only friend at the time. Anyway, one day he was playing with the dog outside and threw the ball a little too far and the poor puppy never came back." Gregory said, looking at Taylor giving her a sad look. "Jeremy cried night and day. I tried getting him new one, but he refused. Till this day, Jeremy doesn't know what happened to the dog. He believes it just ran away, but don't tell him that a few months later, after the dog ran away, I found its body stuck under a huge fallen branch. Poor thing."
Taylor eyes watered up thinking about Jeremy knowing the truth. "That's awful."
"It surely is. Every time he sees a dog his mood changes drastically."
They were interrupted by a knock on the door and a squeal. Taylor saw a pretty bright blonde walk in the room with a plate.
"Carly, sweetheart, you didn't have to bring up Taylor's food. One of the maids could've brought it up." Gregory said standing taking the food from her and handing it to Tayor.
"I wanted to Papa and Mama wants you." Carly said, but once she noticed Chase she immediately went to the bed and touch him. "Aww he's so cute."
Gregory walked towards the door. "Well Taylor it was nice talking to. I would love to stay longer, but my wife needs me."
"Of course." Taylor said back to him, giving him a warm smile. She watched his retreating back then turned to Carly who had picked up Chase and was cradling him on her chest.
"Careful don't wake him." Taylor said kindly. She didn't want to be rude and yell at her to never touch her baby again and to leave since she just met her today.
"Oh sorry." Carly said, gently placing him down. Carly extended her hand. "I'm Carly."
Taylor laughed and shook her hand. "Taylor."
"Seeing Chase makes me want a baby so bad." Carly said, rubbing Chase's hands.
"Why don't you have some?" Taylor asked, not interested in this conversation.
"I don't know." Carly paused. "Can't find the right person."
"Don't worry you'll find that special person one day." Taylor said, getting ready to turn the TV back on.
"There was this one guy. I thought we'd get married and have kids and just be a big happy family, but things don't always turn out how you plan it."
"Ain't that the truth." Taylor laughed and turned back to Carly who's face had saddened. "I'm sorry, what happened between you two?"
"He abused my heart. He cheated on me and treated me like shit even after I forgave him." Carly eyes watered. "And you know the only person that was there to comfort me was Jeremy. My entire family hated him and told me not to be with him, but I didn't listen, so when we broke up no one cared that I was hurt except for Jeremy. He let me cry on his shoulder and told me everything will be alright. We may hate each other but we still love each other."
Taylor smiled. "That was so nice of Jeremy."
"It was, but, don't worry, karma came biting him in the ass, because, about two weeks ago, I heard he mysteriously lost his job and now he's sucking dick for money." Carly said laughing so hard her face turned red.
Taylor smiled awkwardly at her. 'How does she find that funny?'
Carly was about to start talking again but was interrupted by the door slamming open and a frantic Kevin running in.
"Y'all need to get downstairs now."
Taylor grabbed Chase and hurriedly followed behind Carly.
Taylor quickly walked down the stairs with Chase in her hands. She saw the entire family crowded around the door. She got anxious when she neared the door. At the door, stood two police officers with sorrowful faces.
Everyone had tear stained cheeks and Evanly was weeping against Gregory.
"What's wrong?" Carly asked, looking at her family worriedly.
No one answered her.
Taylor swallowed a lump in her throat before yelling. "Would some please tell me what's going on?!"
Gregory turned towards them and grabbed Taylor's hand giving it a tight squeeze.
"Jeremy got into a car accident."
~*~
Taylor couldn't breath as she sat between Kevin and Gregory in the Hospital Waiting Room. When she heard Jeremy got into a car accident she almost fainted. She never felt so scared to lose someone so close to you.
Everyone's eyes fell upon a doctor who walked out with a huge smile on his face. He looked down at his clip board and read out the name.
"Greyworth." About 20 people stood and walked towards the doctor. He nervously smiled at all of us before speaking. "Can I please just have the closes family to Jeremy come with me."
Gregory, Evanly, Carly, Kevin, David and myself and Chase walked behind the doctor as he was leading us towards Jeremy's room.
He turned around stopping at a door and looked to us. "Jeremy's doing just fine. He just hit his head pretty hard. He's actually awake right now and waiting to see all of you."
Gregory was the first to push the door open and walk in. Everyone else following behind. Gregory clapped his hands to see Jeremy sitting up in his bed glaring at all of them with a huge bandage around his head.
"Jeremy, my boy, you gave us all a scare." Gregory said.
"Father, please, my head is killing me." Jeremy said grabbing his head and closing his eyes.
Evanly ran to her son and wrapped her arms around Jeremy causing him to flinch back. "Oh you had me so worried."
"Mother, no touching, please." Jeremy said, looking at everyone who walked in. His eyes stopped on Taylor.
"Jeremy well don't you look awful." Kevin playfully said purposely hitting him on the back to hard.
"I hate you." Jeremy snapped pushing away Kevin.
Carly walked over to him. "I think the appropriate thing to do is not let Jeremy drive any more and give all his cars to me."
Jeremy kissed his teeth. "Never."
Taylor cautiously walked over to him, handing him a wide awake Chase. She smiled at him before talking. "Jeremy I was scared. I thought you died when those cops came to the house. You even gave Chase a scare."
Jeremy confusedly looked between Taylor and Chase, who he was holding in an uncomfortable position. "I'm sorry," Jeremy started forcefully pushing Chase back into Taylor's arms. "But do I know you?"
Yes, its over.
