Taylor's Journey (BWWM) ~Interracial~

Enjoy! Natalie above!

It's been two weeks since Taylor and Antonio have seen each other nor have they spoken. During that time Taylor had to work double shifts to pay off her apartment rent. She was basically living off Antonio, because he paid her rent from time to time. His mother, the owner of the bakery Taylor worked at, has been questioning the both of them on why she hasn't been seeing them together lately.

"Good Morning Mrs.Natalie." Taylor walked into Momma's Sweet House, the bakery, and greeted Antonio's mom. The bakery was very popular in their city. It was mostly crowded in the mornings when everyone wanted a nice homemade breakfast. During the afternoon, not too many people came to get a donut or bagel.

"Morning Sweetie." Natalie replied glancing around the now open bakery. "If you don't mind can you get started on the coffee. That's what everyone wants these days."

Nodding her head she walked over to the coffee machine preparing it. Before her argument with Antonio, he used to come everyday to the bakery at Taylor's lunch break. In the beginning, he was very sweet and kind. Always bringing her flowers and kisses, but lately she's been seeing this 'I Don't Care' attitude in him.

"All done! I'm gonna go ahead and start the muffins. I already see people pulling in." Taylor said glancing out the large window, while walking away from the machine to the back to bake the muffins.

"You do that, darling."

The day went by pretty fast and no show from Antonio. Taylor didn't care, that much.

"Taylor, honey. Can you come here for a minute?" Taylor heard Natalie call to her.

"Yes, Ma'am?" Taylor walked into her office and took a seat in the comfy chair in front of her desk.

"I'm just going to get to the point. What's up with you and my baby boy? I've noticed the distance between you two."

"Oh. Well I thought you knew. He didn't tell you?" Taylor questioned.

"Well, of course not. If he would've, I would've already fixed y'all little problem. So go ahead and tell me."

Taylor leaned back in her chair. "It's not a little problem, Ma'am. Maybe Antonio and I should tell you together."

"Is it that serious that you can't tell me?" Natalie said while crossing her arms.

"I'd rather tell you while he's with me." Taylor would've told the lady right there that she was pregnant, but she wanted his mom to see the way he acted about her pregnancy. To show his mom that he isn't her innocent little baby boy.

"Fine. I'm having a cookout tomorrow at 1 PM. You should come and bring your friend. Antonio is most likely going to be there."

"Thank you, Mrs. Natalie. Now I have to go. See you tomorrow." Taylor got up and walked out to the bus stop and sat on the bench.

It didn't take long for the crowded bus to come. Taking a look at her phone for the time, Taylor stood up, stepped on the bus, and looked for an empty seat. Finding one upfront she sat down and waited patiently for the bus to pull off. She placed her headphones in her ears and happily listened to K. Michelle.

After about 30 minutes of getting off and on buses she finally arrived at Raquel's house. Taylor looked up at all the condos that were glued together and all looked the same except they were different colors. Taylor never knew why Raquel would buy a $250,000 condo that was almost the size of a one bedroom apartment, but she guess it was the low maintenance and it was on the rich side of town.

"Hey, girl!" Raquel said once she opened up the door to reveal Taylor.

"Hey. Did you buy new furniture?" Taylor questioned when she saw a completely different sofa than what she had before.

"Yeah I got tired of the old red one."

"But didn't you just buy that red one last week?" Taylor said about to walk to Raquel's bedroom.

"Wait! Don't go back there. I have um company." Raquel nervously said.

"Oh. Who's here? And why are you in a robe?"

"I was doing something...with um...my company. If you know what I mean." Raquel said wiggling her eyebrows while smirking.

Taylor smirked back. "Oh that kind of company."

"Yeah he's asleep, so let's talk out side." Raquel walked over to the front door and put on her shoes.

"But it's a little chilly out there." Taylor frowned. "I guess it's fine. I wanted to ask if you wanted to come with me to a cookout."

Taking a seat on the porch, Raquel replied, "Who's cookout?"

"Mrs. Natalie's." Taylor took a seat as well.

"Who?"

"Antonio's mom." Taylor notice a change in attitude when she mentioned his name.

"Oh. Uh. Yeah I'll go with you. I got nothing better to do anyway. When is it?"

"Tomorrow at 12."

Raquel laughed, "Ya know, this is like the old days, when we use to go out almost every day."

"Ha. Yeah. The last time we went out was about a month ago. We went to th-"

"That new club that opened up on the East Side. That shit was fun as hell. We both got drunk and we both don't know how we got home that night. So much fun." Raquel interrupted her.

"I know how I got home. I took a cab, because someone left me."

"Not my fault. You weren't at the club the next morning. Ya know, that has me thinking. Where did you wake up? I woke up on the club floor."

"I told you this story a thousand times. I woke up in a hotel room."

"What!" Raquel yelled.

"Calm down. I already told you this. When we arrived at the club, I got super drunk and all I remember was myself talking to this guy with the brightest blue eyes. Then I woke up in a hotel."

"Naked or clothed?" Raquel questioned.

"I don't know what you're saying?"

"Did you have fucking clothes on or not!" Raquel yelled.

"No need to yell. And I was naked. Okay. I don't see the big deal."

"It is a big fucking deal. You had a one night stand, Taylor."

"How do you know that?" Taylor said.

"I swear you are so fucking stupid. Put the pieces together. You got drunk while talking to some guy who oblivious wanted sex. Then you woke up in a hotel room naked. The naked part doesn't click in your brain!"

"I've never thought about it like that."

"Oh my fucking gosh. How long have you been pregnant?"

"I don't know." Taylor said rubbing her belly.

"How do you not fucking know! Have you gone to the doctor yet?"

"Yes I have. I'm think I'm a month and one week pregnant or 6 weeks. I can't remember what the doctor said."

"How do you even know that baby is Antonio's?" Raquel asked.

"Are you fucking serious? How can you ask something like that?" Taylor jumped out of her seat pointing a finger at Raquel.

"It's just a question."

"Well it's a question that we already know the answer to." Taylor sat back down.

"Do you really know the answer?"

"I don't know. Maybe you're right. Maybe it isn't his baby. And I wasn't on birth control back then. So, maybe you're right." Taylor began to cry.

"Why weren't you?"

"I didn't think I'd need it. I always forgot to take it, so some days I didn't even worry about taking it. Besides, Antonio's pull out game is strong."

"Yeah it is." Raquel whispered.

"What?"

"Nothing. It's going to be okay, Taylor. I'm here for you. And you won't know who the real father is until the baby is born."

Taylor wiped her tears away and stood up.

"Well it's getting late. I'm gonna go ahead and head home." Taylor started walking down the porch steps but stopped when she saw an extra car in the driveway. "Is that your company's car?"

Raquel smirked.

"Antonio has a car that looks just like that. Your company has good taste." Taylor said while laughing.

"Yeah. You get home safe, girl."

"Okay. See you tomorrow!" Taylor called to her while making her way to the bus stop.

*Tell me what you think!*
