She shoved the bag into his hands forcefully. "Elijah, the baby just moved in my belly. Every word you're saying now, he can hear it."

He froze like he'd been electrocuted, staring at her in disbelief. "May I... May I touch your belly?" He awkwardly asked.

"He's stopped moving now. He's still really small, so the movements aren't that frequent yet."

This was her second pregnancy, but it felt entirely different from the first.

During her first pregnancy, she was afraid of him finding out, so she bore all the changes silently. The fear overshadowed the joy of motherhood.

But this time around, she was able to fully enjoy the pregnancy.

"It doesn't. He's not strong enough yet."

"Are you hungry? I can take you out for food." Elijah’s heart was aflame. He didn't care about their issues; he just wanted to take care of her.

"I'm not hungry. But if you are, we can go back to the hotel!" She shyly suggested.

"Alright." He helped her up, and they started walking back to the hotel.

She never thought that they would stop arguing because of the baby’s movements. Just like how their arguments often started over nothing.

Sarah called Kaleb into her room and shut the door.

“Kaleb, you say you’re with Violette now. Are you taking me for a fool? You’re so scared of your uncle, would you dare mess with her? Do you even realize how far along she is?” Sarah mocked coldly. “What are you after, Kaleb? A thrill?”

Kaleb replied haughtily, “Sarah, you’re really not doing yourself any favors right now.”
