Chapter 1067 - Waiting To Talk...

Once Lu Lijun left, Lu Jinhai and Mr. Wen looked worried.

"What do you suggest?" Lu Jinhai asked.

"I’ll talk to Liwei and ask her to avoid these things for some time," Mr. Wen said, knowing Lu Lijun wouldn’t listen.

"I apologize for my son’s behavior."

"You don’t need to. Young people these days don’t understand the effect of such things," Mr. Wen consoled, though he himself was worried.

When Lu Lijun returned to his office, he heard Xiao Min talking to Noah outside in front of the reception area of that floor.

"I’m going to see off President Lu. You need to take care of the meeting with the fourth young master. Ms. Yu Fan is there to guide you."

Noah nodded, and Xiao Min left.

Lu Lijun returned to his office, thinking Jiang Yuyan was yet to leave, but she didn’t care about visiting the office or to see if he was fine after that argument.

’Will she understand only if I end up doing something worse,’ he thought and clenched his fists.

Noah entered the office, "Boss, it’s time for the meeting."

Lu Lijun was immersed in his thoughts that he didn’t care what Noah called him and stood up to leave for the meeting.

"It’s about the main project we are handling, so it would be fine even if President Lu is not here," Noah said, but Lu Lijun didn’t reply. He looked silent and cold.

During the meeting, Lu Lijun silently listened to everything, but whenever there was something wrong, the others heard him talking coldly that made others scared of him. It was the first time he led the meeting and showed his scary side to everyone.

Once the meeting finished, everyone ended up having more work in their hand thanks to the cold guy, and they could see their future was no better than what it was under President Lu.

Noah could only sigh inside as he knew why Lu Lijun was like that, but he was right in place when it came to working and had to confront the mistakes.

"We have to visit the project site today," Noah informed, and the two were ready to leave.

In Jiang Yuyan’s home, Xiao Min was busy instructing San Zemin about Jiang Yuyan as San Zemin accompanied her to France.

Jiang Yuyan came out where the servant already brought her bags. She went to her car, where the two busy men looked at her and bowed.

"Now, are you willing to fly a plane for me?" Jiang Yuyan commented.

"Apology for my incapability to do so," Xiao Min replied, bowing slightly, and San Zemin smiled.

Jiang Yuyan was not in a mood to argue as she just wanted to leave as soon as possible. She heard Xiao Min talking again.

"If San Zemin failed to take care of things, I would be there personally, so the boss doesn’t need to worry."

It was his way to say she has to listen to San Zemin and control her tantrums.

She glared at him, "Dare to follow me, and I’ll make sure you will reach assistant Li the next moment."

Xiao Min could only cough awkwardly and stepped aside to let his boss sit inside the car.

Jiang Yuyan left, and Xiao Min calmed himself down. His boss was dangerous sometimes.

"Is father worried about something?" Wen Zac asked.

"About Lu Lijun and Liwei."

"I don’t see anything wrong if they like each other," Wen Zac suggested.

"If it continues, then we have to decide something after discussing with the Lu Family. Lu Lijun didn’t seem to have any problem with engagement."

"What did uncle Lu said when father went to see him?"

"He things as what I do." Mr. Wen thought about something and spoke again, "We have a way to divert everyone’s attention from this news."

"I think you should get engaged with Lu Lian. She is a nice girl, and there is nothing for you to say no."

"You took enough time," Mr. Wen countered, "You and your friend Ming Rusheng both are the same. You two only know how to trouble your parents."

"From where Ming Rusheng jumped into our talk?"

"His father told me they wanted him to marry Lu Lian, but just like you, he said no."

"What?" It surprised Wen Zac.

His father continued, I don’t understand what’s the problem with you young men. Such a nice girl is in front of you, but no one recognizes it."

Wen Zac was still shocked that Ming Rusheng didn’t mention anything about it when the two always shared everything. Moreover, Ming Rusheng knew the talk going on between Lu and the Wen family.

"You are meeting Lu Lian again and decide. I wish the decision to be positive," Mr. Wen declared.

"Father.."

"You promised to listen to me," Mr. Wen interrupted, "Also, it’s for your sister’s sake."

Wen Zac could only agree to it silently and left the office.

Wen Zac returned to his office and sat in the chair, not knowing what to do. He wanted to talk to Ming Rusheng about what his father said.

Just then, his secretary entered the office, "Mr. Wen, we have to leave for the project site."

Wen Zac stood up and thought, ’Ming Rusheng would be on the site. I can talk to him there.’
