Chapter 529 I Will Listen To You...

The next day, it was the day of elder Lu’s surgery. The whole family was worried about him. The surgery went well and as Jiang Yuyan informed them that everything was fine; they gave out a sigh of relief.

The next few days were busy for Lu Qiang as he had work to do for the coming project and he was also busy visiting his grandpa in the hospital, trying to spend more time with him.

During those days, Su Hui was torturing her sons by using her all means. She stopped eating and didn’t go out of her room. When others asked, she gave an excuse saying she was not well and as others were busy with elder Lu’s surgery and taking care of him, no one paid much attention to it but her. Lu Chen was out of the city for some work as Lu Jinhai was busy taking care of his father and Lu Chen had to take the responsibility of some important work in his hands but his sons were aware of their mother’s doing.

Finally, at the end of the week, Lu Han went to Lu Feng, who was in his room. "Don’t you know our mother’s condition that you didn’t even come to see her."

"No one asked her to do it," Lu Feng replied coldly, continuing his work.

"How can you be so cruel to her? Come with me to see her. She is expecting you to visit her. Don’t break her heart by making her think that you don’t care about her."

"I don’t want to as it would be like I am surrendering in front of her useless demands." Lu Feng denied.

"I know nothing. Come with me and I am asking you this as your elder brother." Lu Han insisted, and he looked serious and worried about his mother.

Lu Feng always respected his elder brother who never asked him to do anything or never confronted him when he left the home. He always tried to understand his younger brother thinking he must have his own reasons and supported him like a responsible elder brother so it was hard for Lu Feng to say no to him when he was this much desperate to take him to his mother.

"Okay!" Saying, Lu Feng went to his mother with his elder brother.

On the way to their mother’s room, Lu Han said, "She ate nothing for days so you have to offer her something because it is the only way she will eat something."

"Why didn’t you try to give her anything."

Sighing, Lu Han replied, "As if you don’t know. She won’t eat until she sees the reason for going through all the trouble in front of her eyes and that reason is you."

Just then, both reached Su Hui’s room. Seeing Lu Feng Su Hui didn’t react and continued sitting in a bed and closed her eyes. She looked weak and pale. Seeing, his always so bright mother weak like this, Lu Feng felt sad, but he didn’t show it on his face.

Lu Han signaled Lu Feng to go to their mother and talk to her.

Lu Feng didn’t know how to avoid this situation as he was aware of the end result but as his brother asked him, he stepped forward and sat on the edge of the bed.

Su Hui didn’t reply to him. Just then Lu Han came to Lu Feng with the tray in his hands that was on the center table in front of the couch and handed it over to Lu Feng. It had a bowl of soup.

As Su Hui didn’t respond to him earlier, Lu Feng spoke. "Mother, please eat something."

"You need not waste your time behind me. You can go back," said Su Hui, without opening her eyes to look at him.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"You are doing this to get me here and as I am here, you don’t want to even look at me then what’s the use of troubling yourself?" Lu Feng asked, stirring the soup in the bowl with the spoon.

"I am doing it so that both my sons can understand it but I think it’s not possible even if I die," said Su Hui as tears rolled down from her eyes.

Lu Feng and Lu Han were used to seeing her stubborn, but they were not used to seeing their mother weak like this and that too seeing her sheding tears.

Both brothers looked at each other in worry for her as however, she was but she was the one to give them birth and raise them to be good human beings. Moreover, no doubt she was the person who loved both of them the most.

Lu Feng, who was acting tough till the moment couldn’t deny the fact that it hurt him to see her like this, though he tried not to show it. Lu Han, who was standing near the bed, sat on the bed beside his mother, opposite to Lu Feng. Taking her hand in his, he said, "Mother, it hurts to see you like this. Please eat something first and we can talk later."

"Don’t worry about me. I am not that weak yet that it’s hurting you," She replied coldly.

Seeing his mother won’t listen to him, Lu Han signaled Lu Feng to talk to her and Lu Feng nodded.

"Mother, first eat this if you want to have a nice chat after this. I will listen to what you want to say."

Hearing it, Su Hui opened her eyes and looked at him. "Do you mean it?"

Lu Feng nodded, and without wasting a second, he offered her a spoon full of soup. A light smile painted on her lips to see her son cared for her. She was happy and emotional. Lu Han finally gave out a sigh of relief.

Soon she happily finished the soup as her son who was distant from her for a long time was feeding her and she couldn’t help but feel joy inside.
