Chapter 114 Save me

Another day. Another target. Clara is not at peace as she was shivering all time

whenever the message tone rings up. She wrapped the bathrobe and unlocked her screen to see the message. Her forehead filled with instant sweat and she clutched the washbasin for support. She could see the danger behind the message.

"Come out. I have to get ready for office" Alex was banging on the door for fifteen minutes but Clara was inside the washroom without even replying to him.

Clara was super nervous about the new message she got. She used her lipstick to write them on the paper and kept them inside her shampoo bottle. She just wishes to end this crime thriller version of her life soon. She just hopes that Alex would find out about that guy.

"I am coming inside. I don't know why you are playing with me now" Alex is in full mood to drag a fake fight so that the guy believes them completely. But his words made Clara nervous and she opened the door instantly.

Alex was holding his towel in his hand. But seeing Clara in just a bathrobe, he dropped them. The water was dripping from her face and hair, making it more tempting for him to drag her right there.

"I was just" Clara is in a shock and she didn't realise that she actually came out without dressing up properly. The message she got was scary for her and she just wants Alex to read it before it's too late.

Mac called Alex at the same time.

"Cancel the meeting" Alex replied to him in the call and that's when Clara looked at her reflection in the mirror. Damn, shouldn't she be more cautious?

"Is it a new drama to get me back in your life?" Alex asked, walking to her side and her face turned red with realization.

"Stop. I was just" Before she could complete her words, he smashed his lips over hers and kissed her. Clara was more scared that Alex would not stop with a kiss now.

"Yeah, right. I don't have the plan to stop with the kiss" he mumbled as he daughter her mind talk.

"I have some important work" Clara stopped Alex and ran to the wardrobe to pick her dress. Alex is so determined to stop this game by catching that new guy in their life who is hell-bent on spoiling their little moments.

"Everything is ready. I have mailed you the tickets." Elena smiled broadly as she heard the old man say those. Everything is finally ending. Elena hung up the call.

"I didn't plan to get this game dirtier. But now I am ready for everything." Elena took the sharp knife. She can't afford to use a gun and let the police trace her easily.

"Just make sure she reaches there. I will personally meet her before I leave from here" Elena ordered her henchman to have a close watch over Clara.

Sandy and Alex stood there shocked.

"When did she leave?" Alex asked the watchman.

"It's one hour" The reply he got was not at all the pleasant one. Sandy suddenly pulled the collars of Alex angrily.

"How could you be so irresponsible?" Sandy yelled at Alex and he had no reply though. Alex hung his head low with so much guilt.

"Dad fell down from the stairs today. So, I didn't check her note" Alex knew that his words can't be used as an excuse but it was the truth.

"I will kill you, Alex if something happens to her" Sandy screamed again and pushed Alex away. He ran to his car while Alex was so startled by the sudden events.

Clara left a note for Alex. But he couldn't check them beforehand as Frank fell down the stairs at that right moment.

Alex looked at the content.

"He asked me to bring Roselyn to Ferny Garden." Alex read the note again and he is not sure what this Ferny Garden is. It doesn't seem to be a known place. What the hell is this guy planning?

Alex had an unsettling feeling all of a sudden and he is not sure what is there in that place.

Alex tried calling Rose but her number was switched off and it started worrying him to the next level.

Alex took his car and followed Sandy. They have to at least be together.

Clara stood there all alone. She took a deep breath before she read the message. She got another message right before she could get Roselyn.

'I am bored with weak targets. So, let's leave Roselyn.' Clara's heart picked up its race

as she knew that this guy's next demand would rip her off.

'I have kept green tablets in your bag. Replace them with John Willam's tablets' Clara widened her eyes with the demand.

She could feel that the guy purposely changed his demand. Maybe he knew that she was giving notes to Alex. The realization made Clara shiver visibly. She is one smart girl to connect all the odd dots. Of course, it must be the case. Also, his targets have no connection in between as he doesn't want to get caught easily.

Clara entered the hospital with so many thoughts and worries. Maybe if they find that Rose is safe, they would search for Clara. Maybe they would check the hospital washroom. With hope, she kept the note there.

"Your son loves you so much." the doctor commented as he prescribed some more tablets to John Williams. He smiled in response.

"He was so scared" The doctor's words made John sad. He didn't want to scare his son.

"It's just a mild attack. So, you have to be careful from now on. I have changed your diet plan." John grabbed the file and was surfing the content with an annoyed face. He can't eat salad and live. But he has to do this for his son.

"Don't take stress" With that, the doctor left the room. John closed his eyes to have a small sleep but his nap was broken with a screeching sound from the entrance. Clara stood there with a worried face.

"Hi, dear. Come inside" John greeted her and tried to sit. Clara came to his side to help him sit there.

She was fighting with her conscience to not do this and let the guy do anything he wishes for. But at the same time, she is not ready to face the consequences. It might be too dangerous for her to regret this.

"Thanks" John mumbled and he looked at the pendant she was wearing.

"Who gave you this?" John asked in a panic tone. Clara looked baffled with the sudden change in his expression.

"Alex" She replied calmly and touched the pendant which has a heart-shaped outline with a small eye in the middle. She was damn touched by the way he gifted her this

one.

'I will be watching you every second' his words made her heart flutter even now. But she was scared now to see the expression of John.

"Tell me the truth!" John's words confused her more. She straightened herself and looked directly into his eyes.

Before Clara could say anything further, he grabbed the pendant swiftly and kept them inside a pouch thereby. He dragged Clara to the next room. Clara couldn't come out from the shock. She stood there baffled with the sudden actions of John. What has triggered him to do that?

"Clara, only one chance. Tell me the truth" John's intimidating voice scared the shit out of Clara.

"What truth?" Clara stuttered in panic.

"The pendant has a small device that records everything inside a room." The moment John said those, she froze. So, her guess was right. The guy was listening to everything she was saying. And that's how he could guess her next move.

"Someone is following you?" John asked, finally connecting the dots with her shocked expression. She was not aware of the device in her chain. So, it's obvious that someone is watching her.

John is grateful that he caught such a device from his cabin many years ago to catch his enemy. Now it helped him again "Uncle, I don't know who he is. He is sending me messages and threatening me." Clara blurted out suddenly. She knows that John is one smart man and he will help her for sure. He easily caught the device and maybe now then it can't track her actions.

"Relax. Let me call my friend" John tried to make a phone call to his detective friend.

"Please uncle. It's not that safe." Clara stopped him and explained about everything. John was shocked for some minutes to even react.

"Let's take that necklace again. You have to continue his orders. We can hatch a plan." John gave the pendant to her side and asked her to follow him to someplace first.

Both sat inside the car.

"Hello Jason," Clara got a call from Jason on her new phone at last.

"Why the hell are you having a phone if you are not going to attend any calls?" Jason yelled at Clara. She kept the phone far away from her ears but still could hear his words loud and clear.

"Listen. I am in Airport right now. I will come and explain things. But right now, you have to be careful with only one person" Jason's words confused her more. Already she has so many problems here and here he is giving extra troubles to her mind.

"Who?" Clara asked calmly.

"John Willams" Clara widened her eyes with the mention of John but soon she composed herself before John could notice her changes.

"Why?" Clara asked in a low tone.

"He was the one who blackmailed Sana to separate Sandy and Alex." Clara couldn't control her shiver as she looked at her left side. John was listening to something on his phone with a small smile on his lips.

John switched on the speakers to let Clara listen. Clara widened her eyes when she realized that John was listening to her phone conversation only.

"Save me" Jason heard her scream but the line was dead long ago. Jason stood there shocked as the phone slipped away from his hand.
