Chapter 129 How can you do this?

Alex reached his home and he felt so light for the first time since his accident. He was always troubled because of some unseen memory. But now he doesn't care about any of those flashes. As for now, he wants to enjoy the little excitement he gets whenever he is with Clara. This girl surely captured his heart.

He entered the hall and saw everyone was playing something.

"Dare dare dare" Clara was singing with a broad smile. Sandy had a very naughty expression on his face. Alex entered the circle right at the moment.

They were playing Truth or Dare.

"Dare. That's so fun now." Edward exclaimed and he knew what it meant to get a dare from Sandy. Sandy's attack would always be made the person to give up and accept the punishment. Clara entered the den with her sane mind now.

"Today I don't want to be so harsh on you. So, a simple dare which you would love to complete but not sure from the other side." Sandy whispered to Clara and eyed Alex who became the victim for the round they were planning for.

"Dance with Alex." Sandy looked at Clara. Clara looked at Alex. She has already crossed her line today. He must be still in that frustration. She can't add more miseries to him, right?

"I can accept the punishment" Clara's words shocked Sandy more. He thought Clara would grab this opportunity but she is in another zone right now.

Alex didn't like it. He wanted her to be like before. He sat there joining the game with a blank expression. He needs to talk to her before another hot guy steals her away from him.

"Punishment should be as scary as hell so that she should think 1000 times before giving up on her game" Alex's words made everyone look between Clara and Alex. Did something happen between them?

"Punishment is, you should stay away from Edward and Alex for a full day. You shouldn't talk to them." Sandy can't take Alex's name alone. So, he added Edward's name too. But Alex looked at Sandy through his gritted teeth. One should have a friend like Sandy.

"Agreed." Alex was shocked to hear that from Clara. Did that hot guy propose to her already? Did she accept that? He felt anxious all of a sudden. He can't lose his opportunity.

"If she is not able to follow the punishment, there is more penalty" Alex tried to add some as he feels like one day will be like one year for him. But his actions and words gave a wrong impression to Clara. He wants to keep away from her as much as he can. That's what Clara thought.

"I don't say things which I can't follow," Clara snapped at him angrily. Why does he have to hurt her like this?

Sandy twisted the bottle again and it pointed at Alex now. Alex was just staring at Clara.

"Dare," Alex said sternly.

"Try breaking Clara's punishment." Sandy didn't regret his words while Clara looked at him angrily. Alex stared at his friend with a small smile as if thanking him. Sandy caught the expression that he wondered if Alex wants to spend time with Clara.

"Alex never loses any dare," Alex said and walked near Clara. She walked back till she was locked in the wall.

Sandy and Edward were having a great time watching their drama.

"Why does your face go red whenever I am near," Alex asked dangerously standing near her and Clara's heart was beating rapidly fast.

"You should have agreed to that dare. Because it would have ended with a dance if- then" His words confused her like hell. What does it even mean?

"Because I have no idea how to stop it with a dance." He whispered near her ears as she widened her eyes with his words. He placed his both hands on her either side perfectly to lock her in his area. Clara looked at his face and saw the smirk. It was a flirty smirk.

"What? I mean. Why? I mean?" Clara stammered, not able to understand what he is up

to.

"Dare finished." Alex proudly announced as Clara was taken aback. He was just playing his game. Here, she thought that her Alex is back finally. She glared at him while he was busy laughing and clapping with Sandy.

Clara walked to the middle and grabbed Sandy's phone and broke them into pieces, startling everyone there.

"Your game is as shitty as you" Clara yelled at Sandy and walked to her room with tears threatening to spill from her eyes. Sandy gaped at her. It's Alex who played with her feelings and why the hell did she break his mobile?

Alex walked to her room showing that he will handle it. But he had some thoughts in his mind before he talked with Clara. What if she laughs at his words? What if she was just playing with him and he was taking everything so seriously? The words made Alex stop his track.

He sat there in front of his room on a couch with so much confusion. He searched for

his kerchief and his hand got hold of his old wallet which he got earlier that morning from his drawer.

He stood up all shocked to discover something. What the hell?

Alex entered the room with a blank face.

Alex sat beside her as she stiffened.

"When I was in the hospital, I saw a new girl in my room. Her face was fully red because of continuous crying. She had very bulged eyes as if she didn't sleep for days." Alex said and Clara was shocked to hear those. She thought that he didn't even notice her.

"I was curious to see if she would come and talk to me or not. But she never came.

Neither anyone talked about her. It felt weird." Alex added with a chuckle.

"Why are you telling this to me now?" Clara asked, turning to his side. She is done. She can't play his word game anymore.

"We knew each other, right?" Alex asked gently.

"Not just knew. We have something between us." Alex spoke looking directly at her eyes.

"When I was with Sana, I felt like searching for you. I wanted to see if you are okay or not. I thought I was cheating on Sana. But" Alex broke all those things which are troubling him.

"But today, when I asked Sana if we broke up in the past and she said yes, I felt nothing. I didn't even feel sad. I just got a clear answer that I have someone already in my life and that's you." Alex is always more calculative than anyone could think. He connected all dots and cleared his heart to see the truth himself.

Clara felt like she was standing on the top of the world. He didn't even remember anything but his heart still beats for her. She doesn't need anything more than this.

"I think." Alex cupped her cheeks and all the while Clara was just blank.

"I love you, Clara." He confessed his feelings and Clara was stunned to hear it. It's more thrilling than the last time when he proposed to her.

"Don't date any hot guy from now. I can't see you with anyone." His words were like sparkles to her heart and she has no words to explain what she is feeling right now.

"I can give more interest than any other bank interest to keep you with me forever" Alex confessed again. He can't just play this game more.

Clara grabbed him for a hug with a sob, startling him. The sob was a little louder than

the previous one and he was scared to see her like that.

"No one can separate you from me. Not even death" Clara mumbled with a smile through her tears.

"I love you, Alex. More than you could even imagine" She confessed.

"Love?" Alex asked gently, releasing from her clutch.

"If that's what love is, I am scared I would want it for the rest of my life" Alex's puzzled words scared the shit out of Clara. The feeling of everything getting snatched away right before she could grab it came back to her in full force.

"Sandy told me not to watch any news or check anything online. He even gave me a new mobile. I just wanted to respect everyone as they have concerns for me. I didn't see anything." Alex added as he gently took something from his wallet.

"But I found my wallet under my table." He showed his wallet where he kept Clara's pic in it.

"I couldn't stop myself from checking this." he showed their marriage article and the

look on Alex's face was too harsh to even mention it.

"If you can't run to me when I was in the hospital, I don't think you can love me enough." Alex's words startled her. She didn't expect this for sure. By this time, Sandy too joined them.

"Alex, you are getting it wrong." Sandy tried to make some sense to Alex but he showed his palm to his face.

"If you are enjoying my state of confusion and frustration, I am scared to even fall in love with you" Alex snapped at her calmly as he stood up to leave the place Of course,

he realized that Clara is that girl whose flashes he is getting lately. But he is more frustrated to know that she was just playing with his state. He is hurt beyond imagination to realize the foul play when he saw his marriage article. She is not just a lover to him but a wife.

How can she do this to him?
