Chapter 13 Gift

Taylor's home. "This reception would be our first step," Elena smirked as she helped Elsa in getting ready.

"Why is she in this costume?" Bella gasped seeing Elsa.

"Don't worry. I will take care of it. You go with Ron" Elena smartly made Bella go so that she could get Elsa there.

"I have heard about Edward. He is equally handsome" Elsa said, calculating something else.

"Stupid. Just keep in mind that the first heir will be the powerful one till the end. You should make your decisions wise" Elena slapped over her shoulders.

Left side room in Fernandez mansion Drinking his sixth shot Edward Fernandez entered the side room which was allocated for the family members. He wanted to take some rest before he appeared before the media or his family members. Life is too hard for a 23-year-old guy. He felt his head spinning around because of the alcohol effect. Before he could walk straight, Chunk Edward shot his glares toward the person who slipped the glass of juice over his dress. The girl looked up to see him. He was dressed up nicely for the function.

"How dare you?" Edward grabbed her hand and she flinched with his harshness. His anger was not only because of her actions but because of his mood too.

"Are you blind?" Edward yelled at her.

"I guessed you are "Clara replied with short eyes spitting fire toward Edward. Edward widened his eyes at her words. Who has this audacity to yell at him in his home?

"Who the hell walks like this? It was you who bumped into me" She replied gritting her teeth still under his clutch.

"Whoever bumped, it doesn't matter. If I am hurt, the reason is you" Edward spoke, grabbing her arms more harshly this time.

"But I have a habit of forgiving if it's a beautiful girl" Edward smiled sheepishly and Clara knew that smile for sure. She didn't think twice as she pushed him and before Edward could see what was happening, she slapped him hard. Edward cupped his cheeks which were burning like hell. They both turn around hearing gasps from the entrance.

"Why did you slap him?" Sharon seemed furious at Clara's actions while Alex entered the room noticing everything in the scene. It was not the expected scenery.

"I just asked her to apologize for spilling juice over my dress" Edward snapped angrily as he jumped to attack Clara once again. Alex came in between as if protecting his wife.

"Sorry for the juice. But for the slap, you better be sorry for misbehaving with me" Clara spoke calmly and Sharon looked at her wide-eyed. This girl is not at all like Elsa who was a perfect girl with buttering words. Clara is one venomous-filled girl.

"Mind your language, You Idi" Edward's voice stopped abruptly when Alex walked fast towards him to close his mouth.

"Mrs. Clara Alex Fernandez. Hope you don't repeat this mistake of messing with her again" Alex spoke as Edward widened his eyes. The alcohol effect drained up completely as he looked at his brother again to confirm the news.

"And you, this is my son, Edward Fernandez. I hope you give him the same respect" Sharon replied, eyeing Clara to at least be sorry for her actions. Clara didn't like to be ordered not at least when she had escaped her jail. She is not bound to listen to anyone just like that. Moreover, they don't have anything to blackmail her "Respect is not anything to beg for" Clara didn't regret her words. But she didn't dare to be loud enough for all to hear them. Alex looked at her wide-eyed as if he heard her words. She snaps at almost everyone. He smiled realizing that he was not alone.

"Let's go. Everyone is wondering where the whole family" Roselyn grabbed Clara and Alex with a smile to switch off the situation. Sharon is not at all impressed with anything that has happened just now.

The function went smoothly until Sandy climbed up the stairs to congratulate the couple. Roselyn clutched Alex's hands to calm him down.

"Congratulations," Sandy gave his hand to Clara as Alex fisted his hand.

Clara took his hand with a small smile.

"Myself, Sandy Willams. You would hear a lot about me from your handsome husband" Sandy spoke with a cheesy smile as Clara looked at Alex for further information but Alex stood there with no expression.

"Thanks for coming," Clara replied humbly as her eyes itched on the entrance. Taylor's family entered the hall. Several pictures were taken to highlight Elsa attending the reception. Elsa purposefully dressed up in a black colour simple gown with no highlighting makeup. Her face lost its glow as her eyes showed her grief visibly.

"Did you run away from the marriage?" Daniel, Head of the gossip column on a News Today channel, asked Elsa directly. He has no filter at all in his mouth and that's how he gives the most interesting gossip.

"That's how it was designed," Elsa replied glaring at Clara. Of course, she must repay the insult in the restaurant.

"What do you mean?" Daniel felt so curious to know the details. Elena signalled Elsa to speak further. Bella didn't like the way it was designed but she had no voice in anything. Ron on the other hand has no interest in anything as he is now enjoying his victory.

"I was unconscious and when I regained my consciousness, everything happened." Clara widened her eyes at Elsa's story. Does she want to blame Clara and humiliate her in front of everyone? Elsa is a celebrity and no one would want to go against her.

"Someone kidnapped you?" Daniel wrote a story with an attractive title Clash between sisters.

"I don't know. Honestly, I don't care now. I have no interest in my life now" Elsa's eyes teared up and if Clara didn't know about her cunning nature, she would have pitied

her.

"Welcome everyone" Alex came as he gently grabbed Daniel aside. With his one look, everyone knew that no news would flash the next day about anything. Elsa didn't like it at all. She knew what she should do to highlight this news. He can't stop it all. "Alex, I was telling the truth. I was trapped" Elsa cried as she followed Alex to the stage. "With my security around the hall, you are blaming no one but my arrangement. I highly doubt if anyone could easily kidnap the bride of Alex unless she willingly went" Alex's words sent chills to Elsa as Clara went blank with the sudden support from someone for her.

"I would appreciate it if you don't talk like this to media people involving my name or my family members' names" Alex again gave a warning look to Elsa showing that he doesn't give a damn about her lies but if it concerns him or his wife, he won't spare anyone.

Elsa walked away wiping her tears as if she was telling the truth. Clara sighed tiredly. This girl won't let her live peacefully even after making her life like this.

"Thanks" Clara mumbled softly as Alex looked at her.

"For not thinking that I have trapped her to marry you" Clara added.

"If you had to trap her, you wouldn't have denied our proposal in the first place." Alex

is damn right. Of course, the proposal was first for Clara and Alex. But because of Clara's denial, they had to propose it to Elsa.

"Why did you deny it?" Alex wanted to smash himself to ask that. He knew that this girl wouldn't open up easily and he vowed to not interfere in anything. Damn, his mouth.

"Marriage is nothing but betrayal," Clara replied absentmindedly. Alex looked at her face. He wanted to ask many things about it.

"Oh!" Alex wanted to ask why she didn't deny it then. She is not like that girl to marry anyone just to save her father's reputation. What compelled her to marry him? But he chose to stop his mind to work towards her side.

"A small gift from my side" Sandy gave a pass to the couple as the audience cheered up for them. Alex opened the envelope.

"Just a honeymoon suite booked for you both" Sandy mentioned the gift and of course, everyone is very curious to click their pictures there.

"Thank you." Clara smiled at Sandy and she somehow could feel the hot atmosphere around her when these guys came face to face.

The dinner started and that's when Clara was left alone in a corner. A little part of her felt so divine to live like this. No tortures which seemed to be not really for her till yesterday. But today she is living like a queen.

"Did you think that you will live like this forever?" Clara turned to see Elena who was smirking at her. Clara's blood rushed to her face to see this woman there. She could conclude that Elsa's stunt was originally Elena's plan.

How can this woman appear especially when Clara thinks that she is living a peaceful life? Her eyes trembled in fear as her throat blocked her confidence and words.
