Chapter 21 Drunken Angel

Clara silently cried as Paxton told them everything that happened. She hell never expected that Paxton would face her fate this soon. For some reasons, Elena's hatred always directed towards Clara and she would use Paxton only to blackmail Clara. "Do you know why she did this?" Clara asked softly cupping his cheeks.

"There is no such reason for her actions. Don't blame yourself" Paxton is surely a mature kid. Clara sometimes wondered how he could behave like a father to her.

"You have gathered courage at last to confront her. I don't want you to back off only because she hurts me. It's my battle now. You have endured a lot. But she should know that I don't have any Paxton to protect. So, she better not behave like she behaved with you" Paxton's words made Clara so proud. She brought up her brother in a very courageous way. But she can't let him suffer alone.

"I am not there to protect you anymore. You can't always be a kid. So, grow up and protect yourself. She should never treat you like this again." Clara advised her brother and they both knew that the time was up already. Alex was getting annoyed with their delay.

"Such a grumpy man you have got" Paxton mumbled as he entered the restaurant. "How can he order these all?" Paxton was now mad at Alex completely.

"Pax, relax. It's not a big deal. I shall" Clara's voice dead as Paxton gave her a cold stare. Alex is amazed at how Clara became a scared rabbit in front of Paxton.

"For your kind information, she should not have spicy food as she is under medication for her ulcer treatment. It's worse than you can ever think" Paxton's pained voice is clear to only Clara while Alex is shocked with the revelation. Just now her grandma gave something spicier to her. Didn't they know about her condition?

"I shall take this white pasta" Clara happily took the bowl and started her dinner. But Paxton was just murdering Alex with his eyes.

Taylor's home "Grandma" Elsa cried as she saw the worst side of Elena. She was throwing everything in Clara's room as her eyes threw fire through everything.

"That little dog" Elena yelled as she crushed the picture of Clara hanging in a corner.

"I will kill her with my bare hands" Elena screamed as Elsa tried hard to control her. Ron

is already home; they can't anger him to get the worst of him.

"She tried to over-smart me?" Elena asked as she gave a loud laughter.

"I should teach her a big lesson to show what will happen if she tries to act smart"

Elena smirked at her reflection and at this point Elsa decided that she would never come in the opposite side ever.

"Relax Grandma. Don't worry" Elsa finally made that old woman calm down.

Restaurant "Stop accusing me. I was checking my mail. I don't know where she went" Alex replied, all annoyed. This little boy is nitpicking with him since they met.

"You didn't even realize that she is not here till I come back from the washroom" Paxton is hell annoyed with Alex. How can anyone lose their wife in just five minutes? "Didn't you see? She is amazing. I have never seen someone dance as gracefully as this" Alex and Paxton turned to the poolside where the waiters and many people gathered to watch something so interesting.

"Someone is dancing. Guess she would have gone there to see that. She loves dancing" Paxton told Alex and both stood up to see her.

When they reached the main area of the poolside, both looked at the scenery with wide-eyed eyes as both mumbled the same thing together.

"OMG" Paxton looked at Alex and both ran to the centre where Clara was dancing as if she forgot everything around her.

"It's the time to disco" Clara screamed the song lyrics which seemed to be some party song. Her dance steps and her pretty big smile didn't match her attitude at all. Alex who came to check on her was just mesmerised with her actions. He looked at her face reactions which synchronised with the lyrics as her hair danced in its own will. Her hips waved from west to east as her legs did the opposite side making her whole movement so se*y.

"Did you order any alcohol?" Paxton asked who calculated the cause already. Alex widened his eyes realising what could have happened.

"It's a mild one. I just wanted to have a glass" Alex defended his actions.

"Guess, I am sleepy. You should take care of your wife. I shall return to our car and wait for you there." Paxton's words gave a warning bell to Alex who was clueless.

"Clara, let's go home" Alex said, ignoring Paxton who stood there as if he was not a part of their family.

"Home?" Clara asked as she threw her arms over his shoulders and her eyes had some effect of magnet that made Alex lose his senses for split seconds.

"I don't think I should listen to anyone here" Her words didn't reach his ears but before that she pushed him so hard that he stumbled back till he hit the wall behind him.

Alex looked at Paxton now and he is like don't look at me for solutions.

"It's your wife so I guess you should clear this mess" Paxton shrugged off his shoulders clearly expressing his disinterest in this drama.

"Whoever wins my heart, I will give you a chance to have a dance with me" Alex

widened his eyes at her challenge and moreover the gentlemen there jumped in joy as

if they got a jackpot there. Their partners gave a death glare to their partners, boyfriend, or husbands but these guys wanted to not miss this chance to have a dance with Clara.

There is no way anyone could take their eyes off Clara. Her simple tired attire was so se*y when she waved her hips. Her smooth cheeks turned red due to alcohol's effect. Her pouting lips were the highlighting part. Alex had a sense of responsibility all of a sudden to take his wife away from these wolf men who were ready to grab her if given a chance.

"Shall we perform to see who wins your heart?" Someone from the crowd asked and they all ran to the stage by pushing Alex to a corner who was just flustered with the sudden events. He had never faced such a thing in his life.

He called his driver and asked Paxton to get back home with him. Now he should get Clara out of this restaurant before she creates another ruckus.

In left wing of the restaurant "I was busy, that's why I couldn't come yesterday," Rose explained as she sat across from him. She wore a beautiful long gown and anyone could see that she had been on a date. Daniel smiled at the girl in front of him. He has admired her since day one. But now the little innocent girl is nowhere visible. All there is a matured woman who maintained her status and posture well intact. Her replies and gestures have changed a lot and it made her more attractive than before.

"I am so happy that you have come. So please no sorry. Let's order something first" Daniel grabbed the menu card and placed the order.

Rose is just impressed as to how he can remember her likes even now. He carefully picked all her favourite and expects a compliment from her side. She smiled brightly with her twinkling eyes.

Sandy crushed the paper glass as he saw how easily both mingled with each other. He didn't like the way she was smiling at his jokes or whatever he was telling her.

Tipping the bartender, Sandy is excited to see how Daniel will be behaving once he has that strong liquor. It would be worth watching.

"Date this man and see how long you can survive" Sandy smirked as he still remembered how this guy made a ruckus with just a peck of alcohol.

Rose noticed Sandy there and was wondering if he came there by chance or if he followed her to see this? She purposefully grabbed Daniel's hands as she started laughing at the lame jokes of Danny. She looked at the mirror in front of her which had the reflection of Sandy. He threw the phone in anger. Seeing her happy made him madder. The thought was painful but she wants to make him madder than this. This dinner should be long.

She selected the special dish of Grand paradise and knew that it would take time for them to give this dish. She starts talking with Danny again ignoring Sandy who is not at all pleased with the happenings.

But what she doesn't know is that her brother too was here somewhere managing his wife.
