Chapter 24 First fight

Taylor's home. "You didn't talk to her?" Alina asked Jason in a call.

"She should have run away from the marriage. No one will understand her." Jason was worried for her. He wanted to save her from this family and give her a new life. But she chose to be in hell for the rest of her life.

"Trust me. Alex brother-in-law is genuinely amazing. She is blessed." Alina tried to give hope to Jason.

"Her rude behaviour makes people hate her. They can't understand her real intentions. One must break her walls to enter her heart so that they can read her intentions. Alex will never understand her." Jason is worried for everyone around her. She is not a normal girl who gets angry sometimes and is happy some other times.

"Her mood swings make people stay away from her and she can't bear the pain" Jason knew about Clara like a mirror and that's why he thinks that she can be happy only with him. It's not that he is in love with her or something like that. It's just he knew that she deserved a good life.

"I am not worried at all. They might fight with each other or even hurt each other. But I am sure if both started knowing each other better, they would be the world's best couple" Alina spoke dreaming. She can understand Alex in a short period and she always wanted someone like Alex to enter Clara's life.

"Relax, Jason. She will have to open up. She can't live her life with that angry face forever" Alina cheered up Jason but he was too concerned about her.

Skyline premise "Layla is selected to join the new project" Everyone is talking about the same thing again and again. But the reason for that remained secret.

"Is it because the boss knew her family?" they all seemed to assume this and there might be a probability for that also.

"Bullsh*t" Oliver expressed as soon as the words fell on his ears. He can't hear anything against his boss.

"The report she submitted was well maintained. Boss is really impressed by her work. She didn't only make a report of last collection but also added a new column to tell why we got only 92% success. She gave some reasons for 8% drop. Great job, Layla" Now everyone looked at Clara slowly as Oliver told them about the reason. Clara is not awarerurfarrything as sile was Jusy acrtmining-utlose-uésrýris-artorláririy xeror unfutterm Layla couldn't be happy for the selection but she can't let the girl snatch the praise for this for sure. She looked at everyone and they knew that they are not supposed to talk about it anymore.

As Clara was taking xerox, she mentally designed a dress to submit for the contest. She wanted to get selected for the project. Her phone ringed at the same time.

"Hello, who is this" Clara asked, still taking xerox with her other hand.

"Don't tell me that you didn't even save my number?" Alex's voice startled her as she checked the id again. She didn't save them.

"I didn't ask for your number. So, I didn't have them" Her replies made him smile.

"Today evening, a guest is coming. So, you can come home before 5?" Alex asked directly the purpose of his call. But there was not any question but a statement for her to follow.

Clara just didn't like this. She has no interest to get involved in everything. She has many things to handle on her own. That's the other reason she hated marriage.

"Tell them that the bride who was supposed to attend these all, ran away and the bride you married has no interest." Her reply was pretty rude. Alex checked the phone again and gritted his teeth. She was not supposed to talk like this to him, was she?

"That was pretty rude. Guess you need to see my rudeness, right?" Alex asked in his dangerous voice. Clara cursed herself again. She should cut her tongue for working at the wrong time with the wrong people. She is angry with Layla for being a spoiled brat here and she gave frustrated replies to Alex who has been constantly trying to be nice to her.

"Come home before 5. If you don't want me to come to your office and drag you in the middle of your co-workers." Alex snapped at her and cut the call. She widened her eyes at his words.

She started her work quickly and even skipped her lunch so that she could finish it at least halfway before she left the office.

She checked the time and it already struck 4. She can't take risks of having Alex here.

She managed to ask for permission from Nathan who agreed to it instantly because she worked late till 8 the previous day. Thanks to the stars Layla was not there to create another problem there.

Clara entered the home and she was pretty late even though she left the office on time. She should have accepted Alex's car back then. Waiting for the bus was a pretty bad idea. Now he will think that she purposefully came late.

"My mom wanted to meet her. But guess she is not that important." Sharon exclaimed as soon as Clara entered the room. That was bad. The guest was only Sharon's mother. Sharon disliked Clara for whatever reason. She has been nitpicking a new fight with her every day and now she has got a new jackpot to fight with Clara.

"I told you that my mom wanted to meet you. And you can't even come and greet her?" Sharon asked throwing her hands up in frustration. Irritated that no one gave importance to her family. Irritated that even the new girl shares the same values. "You didn't inform me" Clara defended herself. The way Sharon expressed everything made Clara a clear culprit.

"So, even I didn't inform you?" Alex asked, confronting Clara. He is mad at her. His eyes were dark with so much anger. She didn't want to open her mouth for the first time so that she doesn't anger Alex more.

"Fine. I don't want anyone to fight because of me." Sharon left for her room with tears. Alex can never bear it if anyone hurts his family. Sharon is like his mom. Seeing her in tears, Alex looked at Clara furiously. He walked fast towards her. Frank and Rose went to console Sharon while Grace was talking on the phone with Sharon's mother to fix a date to let her come again.

"I was just being considerate that it was me who asked to marry you. But you seem to take me for granted, isn't it?" Alex asked as he grabbed her by the shoulders. She flinched with his sudden advancement.

"You could have backed off if you didn't want to marry. I don't know the exact reason you said yes to marry me. But now you are here as Mrs. Alex Fernandez." Alex whispered near her ears with so much anger and she started shivering with the intensity of his anger. Elena is not even a match to his tone alone. Did she just wake the demon in him?

"Bear the responsibility of the name at least. Or else I have ways to make you realise those" He spoke carefully and she didn't even lift her eyes to see him.

"I guess you understand," Alex asked and Clara didn't have any words to reply to him

as she was scared now. The more she is scared the more she is angry as how can anyone easily scare her?

He left the place leaving her behind.

She sat there on her couch as tears rolled down her cheeks. She thought that she was out of Elena's den but it seemed like she was caught by a big demon. Of course, she was wrong here but it doesn't give anyone to treat her like this?

"Hi dear. My one lie is enough to show you your place here" Sharon laughed at Clara. She looked exactly like Elena. Why are there so many Elenas here? She had to bear only one back then.

"I just hate whenever you look like that at me. You better give respect to me if you want to live here" Sharon pointed her foreigners at her.

"So sad. I had never wanted to live here. So, you can do anything. Moreover, it will help

me only. So, all the best" Clara snapped at her angrily. If she thought that Clara would

be scared and beg for her forgiveness, she had chosen the wrong girl.

"I have nothing to lose but I can see that you have many precious things" Clara smirked at Sharon as she looked back to see what Clara was indicating to and saw Edward there. Sharon got angry all go a sudden she grabbed Clara.

"Mom" Edward came running to Sharon's side to stop the assault.

"She didn't do that intentionally" Edward grabbed Clara from Sharon's clutch. "Please, don't fight with your mom for me. It was my mistake only." Clara told them and left for her room as Sharon was gobsmacked with her acting. She thought Clara would be scared with this small threat and would even regret her actions.
