Chapter 26 Scared to meet him

Frank walked to the park with such rigid expressions. He didn't want to get involved in this matter. He sat across the bench and waited for the person he was about to meet. "Hi, dear" He smiled as he saw her coming there right at the time.

"Uncle." Elsa beamed happily. She was very happy as Frank called her personally to meet. She dressed up so neatly and elegantly to present herself like an angel. He should regret missing her as his daughter-in-law.

"Hope you are doing well," Frank said with a smile.

"Not really" Elsa is known for her acting. No one would think that she is acting. Her swollen face and her cracked voice show how much she is affected because of whatever happened so far.

"I heard that you were kidnapped." Frank came to the point directly. He couldn't ignore the fact that someone kidnapped her. It might either be from their side's enemy or it might even be from his side's enemies. He has a handful of enemies already.

"I have asked my friend to look into the matter. I will not leave the person who plotted this against you. So don't worry" Frank's words made Elsa shocked. She didn't think this way. If someone digs into this, they might discover that she ran away voluntarily.

"He will call you for further information" Frank gave the number of his friend who is working in CBI.

"I know that everything that happened was not supposed to happen in such a way. But

I am here for you. You can reach out to me if anything bothers you." Frank kept his hand over her head. He liked this girl. He felt sad for her. His comfort brought instant tears to her eyes. It would have been great if she married Alex. But the thought of Clara getting such people in her life, made Elsa burn in jealousy.

"Thank you, uncle. It means a lot to me" Elsa replied with a bright smile. Frank left the place with content. He felt a burden taken away from his chest.

"That's ridiculous" Kriya was super annoyed when Clara said she was married to someone just because her sister ran away.

"It was not as ridiculous as I thought" Clara's words surprised her. It seemed she started opening up.

"Maybe. But marriage is not a joke." Kriya retorted, not wanting to be obvious to Clara that she was trying to get more information from her to see what she was thinking about.

"Marriage is a betrayal." Clara is furious with the concept of marriage itself. That was the first thing she expressed to Kriya.

"I thought he was different. But he is like everyone in this world. There are no exceptions." Clara emptied her heart and tears filled her orbs. She didn't want to cry but the emotions she bottled up reached their limit.

"I need to go." Clara took her purse suddenly as she felt that she had been giving so much more information to Kriya than expected. She shouldn't let her guard down easily. She still remembers the Nany in their home whom Clara tried to tell everything but that Nanny teamed up with Elena at the correct timing and the betrayal was too much to bear.

"Sure." Kriya didn't force her to say more or stay there.

"Thanks for reaching out to me. We will be meeting for regular sessions this coming Friday." Kriya commented as Clara left the clinic. The fact that Kriya would never drag any conversation made Clara a little comfortable with her. She surely knew how to handle such patients.

"That was really a big improvement" Kriya spoke on the call.

"I am happy to hear this" Jason literally jumped in joy. He wanted to have that cute Clara back when she was little. He remembered how much of a colourful life she was living. She was smart, witty, and always full of energy.

"It seems she is upset with her husband. But it also seems that she likes her new family" With just two sentences, Kriya could have a full picture already. Because Clara is like that girl who speaks only a single word but it gives full event details only to Kriya. "But I am afraid if her husband reacts the opposite way" Kriya is concerned now. "She has never trusted anyone but she seemed to trust her new family members. If anyone breaks her trust or anything, she will shut herself again and it will be hard to make her come out again." Kriya explained and Jason scratched his hair in frustration. "Probably, she is now scared of her husband. Maybe she won't talk to him either. If he gets irritated with her behaviour and expresses his displeasure, it will worsen her case. She will shut down completely from all people around her." Jason now could get the picture. He already knew the situation there as he asked Rose about it.

"From her voice, I am sure that she started liking her new life and she wanted to give them a try. But if it gave her the same vibe, we might lose the chance to bring her back from depression" Kriya explained and Jason sat there with a thud. He can't let that happen. He tried like hell to bring her back to normal earlier. He can't let her go into that mode ever again.

"If possible, just make arrangements to meet her husband. He might help us" Jason nodded and hang up the call ******

"It's an interview. I shall pick you up in half an hour" Mac carefully spoke. "What is it about?" Clara asked suddenly.

"Just formal questions. I made arrangements as it's Sunday." Mac replied with a smile. She liked it as he is considerate about her job also. It would be good if she got ready without any more questions.

She dressed up in a black glittering gown as gifted by Mac for the interview. She didn't want to argue on that. A small black stud completed her look. She smiled seeing her perfect reflection. She has never had fancy dresses before her marriage. But here, every time there is a meet or party with anyone, they give her the most unique collection. She touched the soft fur in the end of her dress which seemed to be the best in her dress.

She took the black clutch which is hers as she can match this black with any colour. Her look was complete and elegant. She could see that she resembles her mom in many ways.

"Welcome ma'am" Everyone greeted her as she entered the Sparkles enterprise. She wondered if she would cross Alex or not. She doesn't want to meet him now. Maybe she will give an interview quickly and leave the office before she could come face-to- face with him.

"Isn't the girl who is rumoured to kidnap Elsa ma'am and marry Alex sir" She could hear every whisper so clearly. Damn. Why did she even come here?

Clara didn't mind any statements as she gracefully crossed them with a small smile which was like mocking to kill everyone around her. She always loves whenever she reacts this bitchy way. It pisses people off.

"Money makes everyone so greedy" Another statement made her cringe.

"Not only money. It might be like she has fallen for our boss and might want to have him overnight" Another creepy comment made her skin crawl. Should she slap them?

Or even worse. She can now even fire them. After all she is the owner here.

"Hi, my dear sister" Elsa greeted her with an exceptionally beautiful smile and everyone was like how sweet Elsa is.

"Good morning" Elsa wished her.

"Maybe if I didn't see you, it would have been my best morning" Clara commented loud enough for everyone to hear her. That was pretty rude and unexpected from her

side.

"Did I upset you anyway?" Elsa faked her concern and all fell for her angel figure. Clara on the other hand laughed like a devil in disguise.

"Don't tell me that you are even concerned about it" Clara replied as she wiped the corner tears because of continuous laughs.

"And the rumours and stories which you have ignited are really impressive." Clara gave slow claps with a smile. Elsa glared at her with anger. The staff circled them to watch the drama.

"Mr. Scott" Clara called him as he neared her with full nervousness. This girl looked like she would kill everyone alive today for badmouthing her.

"You were absolutely right. I mean, who would be behind money? It's for your boss alone" Clara whispered with a chuckle.

"In this, you have to blame your innocent Elsa mam that she is so careless to get kidnapped, right?" Clara asked Elsa who is fuming in anger.

"The Clara who would always sit back in silence and always bears your tantrum is not here anymore. I am Mrs. Fernandez. I hope you give the same respect you give to your boss." Clara's words dripped with dominance and arrogance that made Elsa flinch visibly. That was not expected for sure. The attitude was too much to bear and it angered Elsa like hell. She wanted to rip her entire presence and make vanish from this planet.

"Deliver everything without any mistake to your grandma," Clara whispered near Elsa's ears with a smirk.

Alex watched the drama and was amused by the way she handled everything. He thought that she would run away. He then expected her to bash his employees when she started questioning them. But her replies were very sharp and it cut them alive. No one could reply to her. The more he gets to know about her, the more she becomes mysterious.

Clara walked to the conference room where Mac asked her to wait. She calmed down her heart as she took some anti-depression pills. Right now, she has so many things going on inside her head. She needs to sort them separately so that she doesn't go mad all of a sudden.

"Hi, Mrs. Clara Fernandez. I am Diana." the reporter introduced herself as she sat across from her.

Clara took a deep breath and smiled at the reporter.

"You look absolutely beautiful" Diana complimented her as Clara smiled at her.

"Where is Mr. Fernandez?" The moment Diana asked, Clara froze. Is he going to give an interview with her? She is not yet ready to face him. The scene where he was holding that iron stick was still fresh in her memory and she couldn't face him for sure.

"Hi, hope I am not late" His words made her shiver visible as her forehead filled with sweat. Alex walked fast and sat near Clara.
