Chapter 32 It's painful

It'd been a few days since they all started working on their designs. Mac and Clara get along very easily. Clara liked how easily he helped her lot. She started giving some space around people to help her. She doesn't snap always unless Sandy and Alex get on her nerves.

Layla was annoyed at how Sandy and Alex were always hanging in front of Clara's room. Though she didn't know how Sandy was trying to pull for a fight. It seemed Clara was always surrounded by all handsome guys to protect her. Even Nathan was in the line.

"Diya, seriously?" Clara yelled all frustrated.

"If you don't know what I meant, you should have cleared them before you made this fabric like your dickhead" That was just pretty harsh from Clara's side. She has been so soft towards everyone. But as days passed, she felt as if she was there in her company managing her projects. The CEO inside her woke up and her words were pretty direct.

"I am not even sure if you even know what has been chosen for this?" Clara asked, crossing her arms.

"Just because you are leading our team, it doesn't change the fact that you are just a newbie here and I have been working here for years. So, mind your words and attitude" Diya yelled back as Clara glared at her with fiery eyes.

"Jenny. If she touches my design again, you will be screwed" Clara spoke with so much arrogance still her gaze was fixed with Diya who was not at all pleased with her words.

"Mac, let's change our plan slightly. I can't waste this as it would cost a fortune to order the fabric again." Clara spoke and started working on repairing the design which Diya messed up.

"I have some work right now. I will be back in half an hour" Mac spoke hurriedly as he was checking his phone.

"Did everyone pray that you all will make my day as hell?" Clara asked, stopping Mac from moving an inch.

"You can do that work after half an hour once you discuss the pattern." Clara wanted to synchronize her dress with the jewellery they make. She can't just work on her dress alone.

"It's from my boss" Mac replied with a smile that now Clara has no choice but to leave Thin:

"Ask him to wait." Her reply made everyone gasp loudly.

"He will be mad." Mac tried to make some sense to Clara but she glared at Mac to dare him to speak more if he wants to see her wrath. He could see a female version of Alex in her. It's better not to mess with her. He can anyways manage Alex.

"As if he is always happy" She replied casually and now even Mac couldn't stop his chuckle. He sat there, knowing well what would happen in just five minutes.

They started discussing how they can change the entire look. Earlier with how Clara planned, if it turns out like that, they decided for a cute and curt design for a neck piece with heavy earnings. But the design is completely turned upside down.

"Guess, now the neckpiece should be heavy and we can go with long and straight earrings. It will be classy. As for the bracelet, we shall stick to the first plan" Clara gave the final decision after they talked for about twenty minutes.

"Why the hell did I have to wait for you?" Alex asked as he dashed inside the room with so much anger.

"Because he is not only working for you now." Clara crossed her arms with annoyance. There is no one in this world like Alex. He is the grumpiest person she has ever seen. "How can he be hanging around you all time, lately?" Alex is now expressing his jealousy but not for his wife but for his secretary cum buddy. Mac can be only his. "Are you not supposed to go early today?" Clara asked, gasping at him. "Roselyn would be mad if you didn't come with her to shop for her engagement." Clara made him remember his plan for the day.

Sandy was watching them from his monitor. His lips stretched to a fine smile. Engagement? So, she was not bluffing that day.

"Just a few more days. I will get what I planned for. After that, destroying you, will be full of fun" Sandy mumbled while gulping his drink. He had been planning a beautiful revenge for Alex as he saw Clara and Alex. Both would be suffering in this but he will get that satisfaction which can't be attained even if he kills him.

"As for engagement, I have a nice checkmate for you both siblings. Wait for my surprise" Sandy is now a complete psycho, waiting to make them fall so that he can laugh at them.

"Sometimes we should do wrong to get what we want" Sandy mumbled seeing some documents in his hand. He messaged someone to work on something.

Alex sighed tiredly when Rose didn't choose any of the dresses for two hours.

"It's not even that you wish for. How can you take so much time?" Alex's mouth should be banned for sure. He surely got influenced by Clara. He looked at Rose who stopped checking gowns as her gaze didn't leave the side.

"Yeah, I don't want to get engaged. But if it is happening, I can't present myself as the saddest bride, can I?" she asked with a smile.

"I didn't mean that way" Alex kept his hand over her head. She smiled back at him, assuring that she was fine.

"I thought five years is enough for me to move on. But it's painful here" She pointed to her heart as her eyes teared up.

"Guess my love for him didn't die even though the hatred reached the sky." Rose has never opened up about her pain till now. But it seemed that she reached her limit. Alex couldn't see her like that for sure. Sandy is the worst human being in the entire world.

"Even though I wanted to forget him, I couldn't do that" She mumbled in a pained voice. The last thing Alex could ever bear is Rose's tears.

"He doesn't deserve even your hatred. Forget him." Alex doesn't know what words would comfort her. But right now, he could realize his heart was bleeding every second.

"Daniel is a nice guy. He would keep you happy." Alex assured her with hope.

"Let's finalize this maroon one." Rose pointed out the first gown she saw 2 hours ago. Alex went to pack them as he saw a message from Mac.

"I need to go today. Clara is adamant on finishing her work today. So, she is staying back. Ps: Sandy is still here." The moment Alex read the message; he knew that it must not be a coincidence that she had to stay back having Sandy alone in the office. He hurriedly paid the bill and asked Rose to go back home as he took his car to reach the office to see what this guy is up to.

Alex drove his car at high speed to check on them.

Clara was busy hemming the gown which Diya had messed up earlier. But she was super happy when she saw the final product. She has done a great job. Even if she created her original gown, it wouldn't have turned so beautiful. This messed up gown is really worth a fortune as she applied her magic.

Sandy smirked at her as he walked to her cabin. Clara didn't even hear the lock sound as she was really immersed in her design.

"That was wonderful" Sandy voiced out in that empty hall as Clara suddenly turned to see him so close to her, making her widen her eyes.

Alex walked fast till he reached the Cabin of Clara. He saw the light was on. He tried to open the door but it was locked from inside. Panic runs through his veins. Sandy can't hurt Clara, can he? He knocked on the door roughly and loudly as he called Clara's name louder.

The door lock opened suddenly as he went inside in a swift movement. The scene in front of him was not so pleasant as he looked at them shocked.
